On 9/29/2022 we called a service center listed with our purchased insurance through the dealership, because we noticed some water damage in the kitchen area. The technician informed us of a bad rubber gasket in the shower valve and repaired and billed for the work. I decided to file a warranty claim for the damage to the panels, so I called Winnebago Warranty Center. October 2022, I explained to the warranty representative that there had been a leak in the shower caused by a faulty rubber gasket, and as a result there was some water damage on the paneling facing the kitchen around the pantry and fuse box area. To my knowledge this was the only visible damage I could find. The rep was able to send this to her team and get it approved for a warranty repair at a certified Winnebago service dealer. Out of the choices she offered me, San Antonio RV in Seguin, TX was the closest to my location. I reached out to them and spoke with John Stenger who is the service manager. John explained to me that Winnebago requires a thorough inspection of all possible damage, and it would take a bit of time. This took roughly two or three weeks for him to assess the damage and put together the work order to submit to Winnebago. After a few days John told me that Winnebago denied the claim, which was surprising to me considering the rep told me that it would not be denied. After further discussion with John, it came to light that SA RV submitted a claim for water damage and several other items that were not discussed. Red flag! I told John that I would call Winnebago and find out what the issue was, he advised me not to do this and that he would have a warranty representative call them and straighten the issue out. Another few days went by, John let me know this time the claim was accepted, and they would order the parts and begin work. I found out that the reason the claim was denied was because SA RV decided to add additional items to the claim without my knowledge, one being an issue with the slide and another with a bent jack and who knows what else. Several months go by, along with several loan payments and us still without the RV, which was purchased to accommodate my son's living arrangement while going to school. I tried to reach John on several occasions and when I did, he always told me Winnebago didn't have the parts, or they sent the wrong parts, or they were back ordered for months on end. Finally in June of 2023 he claimed he received the parts and would work on it now. I let him know that my situation has changed, and I would like to sell the RV. He put me in touch with their salesman named Stan and we agreed on a consignment price. All of June and most of July the RV still did not get advertised. When I finally got someone on the phone, they said it still wasn't repaired and pictures hadn't been taken to put it on the site. Late July images finally went on the site, and it was listed. Again, no communication from their end, several attempts were made to discuss progress and calls were not returned. Pictures of the RV were half-assed with clutter and areas that were still being repaired, no staging and no effort to really try and sell it. At this point I decided to consign with another company that may take selling the RV more seriously. I contacted PPL Motorhomes out of New Braunfels, Tx and decided to consign with them. When I went to inspect the RV before transporting it from SA RV to PPL, I noticed that there were several items of value stolen from the RV. I contacted the owner of SA RV, has name is Matthew and he is an arrogant jerk, he did not take any responsibility for these claims. The RV made it to PPL on Monday, October 9, 2023. PPL received the RV and started an appraisal by inspecting the unit. PPL informed me that there was water damage, scratches, broken trim and a few other minor damages. The water damage is on the driver's side by the water hook-up, the same side SA RV was fixing the damage. He also informed me that the damage took place while the RV was in San Antonio Rv's possession when they hooked it up to the city water. At this point I contacted the owner of SA RV who basically played games with me while putting me on speaker phone so his staff could hear the conversation and laugh at my claims. I am trying to be as thorough as possible and realize that this is a long review, but it's part of the timeline and also hoping to bring awareness as to the poor professionalism and dishonesty exhibited by the owner and staff of San Antonio RV. We purchased the RV on 08/20/2022. San Antonio RV had the RV in their possession for almost a year and stole roughly a thousand dollars of personal items and ended up causing another 4k of damage that I am on the hook for. I gave the owner an opportunity to be a stand-up guy but he is not. Best I can do now is spread the awareness and take him to court. This is my starting point. read more

Don't do it! Find a different dealership. This company is shady, they don't stand behind their rv's, and don't stick to their word. I regret buying from them on a daily basis. Their delivery driver damaged my awning over a year ago. I have been ignored by everyone at the company. They are thieves. I've been told the entire company has been sold, and lots of employees have jumped ship. I am currently discussing options (lemon law) and plan to continue until I get a fair resolution. DO NOT BUY WITH THIS COMPANY!!!! The shopping and looking at rigs goes great and they are GREAT salesmen. However, their word and value are non existent!!!! I bought my trailer in February 2024, and purchased the extended warranty, which I was weary of because 9 times out of 10 they're useless. I was assured over and over the absolute ONLY thing the warranty will not cover is your tires due to normal wear and tear. I had to take the trailer in on June 1st for a bent axel and a leak under my tub. I FINALLY got my trailer back in September. The front door was bent causing us to barely be able to open it and definitely not able to get the stairs down for access, the black tank was leaking, toilet constantly running. We looked at the plumbing, they hadn't even put the pea trap back correctly in the shower, we noticed bars still hanging off by the J wrap that were never put back on from the axel "fix". Took the trailer back in, was informed the only thing the warranty would cover was the black tank leak, which I am expecting they likely did a mediocre job and simply added additional cheap caulking to the under side. I was given the pricing to fix all the other issues and stated no we will just have what was covered by warranty. So now it's time to pick up and I have a $250 charge.....my deductible for warranty is $50! I was told the rest was a charge for diagnosing lines.....this was never discussed advised etc. I have pictures of everything that was an issue prior to us taking it back in so why on earth would I pay 4 times what my deductible is each time the warranty needs to be used?! ESPECIALLLLLY after I was assured the warranty covered EVERYTHING!!! Every person we have spoke to whether they be a fellow camper or RV technician has nothing but apologies for us that we chose to buy from this company. I HIGHLY suggest you go elsewhere if you are looking for quality in product and service! read more

I just had my RV service at San Antonio RV in Seguin. Night and day difference in the level of service from another very large RV dealership, CW. CW only needed to replaced a filament in my gas stove and the propane regulator. They kept it two months. San Antonio RV resealed the entire roof, fixed the A/C issue and replaced the battery disconnect switch and put 5 new tires on. They only kept it 3 weeks. One of the main differences, other than the time difference, is they called me at least once a week with how the repairs were going. Being in the customer service industry, that's important to me. When I picked it up today, they let me examine the repairs (yes, I did get on the roof) before they even asked for payment. Then when I was getting it hooked up to head home, the front electric jack motor burned out completely. They were able to install a new jack in about 10 minutes. If you have a RV, or are looking to buy an RV, I would highly recommend San Antonio RV. read more

TERRIBLE. Shady workers that are snakes. When asked about a camper, the sales and finance director said it was $79,988. When asked if they could go lower, I received a text message from a salesman stating it would be $63,995. I said great and wasted my entire day texting this salesman to buy this camper. After filling out the credit application, I received notifications that they pulled my credit EIGHT TIMES and all they had to say was "we tried every available option and nothing was successful". When questioned WHY, it came out that they pulled my credit for $79,988 instead of the agreed $63,995. When telling the finance guy we would've never put in an application for that amount and that was not the agreed on price, he back tracked saying he doesn't see $63,995 anywhere for the price of this camper. When told that we have emails and texts where that was the agreed price per THEIR employees, he backtracked with every excuse to NOT sell the camper to us at all due to "no bank wants to work with you" when in reality, THEIR EMPLOYEES ARE SNAKES AND THEY CAN'T STAND BY THEIR MISTAKE. When asked why he pulled my credit 8 times, his excuse was "oh I was just trying to make this deal go through" when asked why he couldn't call after the first or second one and ask if we wanted to continue, all he had to say was "oh I got you". DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. read more

UPDATE from previous 1 star post: My husband and I spoke with Matt (Owner) this morning. He agreed to send out his Foreman, Tom. I have to say that Tom did an amazing job explaining the system as he was working to check the issues. This fiasco scared the heck out of us and were worried a pipe busted or something was leaking underneath. Tom took the time filling the tanks and testing the fresh and black tanks to include the water pump. This reassurance means a lot because no one wants a sewage leak. He even reopened the underbelly to get the wet insulation out to prevent mold from growing. Tom also found out why our battery was draining and outlet kept tripping. The wiring was hooked up wrong straight from factory. We still don't know exactly what went wrong with the water issue...but at least there doesn't seem to be any lasting damage. Tom is a GOD SEND!! We are "Happy Campers"! We will continue to watch for leaks as he suggested. These five stars goes to Tom for his job well done. Also, for Matt's (owner) quick response in rectifying this situation. read more

I found this place through one of their Craig's list ads while looking for a Class A RV. I phoned and spoke to a sales person there and was told a higher price than what was listed. He reluctantly said they would honor that price and paint the front of the coach. Now that was still higher than what I wanted to spend so I made an solid offer and it was turned down and the next day I was told it was sold. My parents drove down to see it in person and met with a different sales person than I had dealt with. They were told it was available and they looked it over and found many items that needed to be fixed. My parents put up the required $100 dollar deposit. We arranged when I would come with the funds to pick up the unit. I get a call the next day stating that they want the full payment by close of business (Friday) that day or they would cancel our deal. I was very reluctant to transfer that large of a sum of money considering the back and fourth I have had with them. I did make the transfer and purchased the unit and we have been happy with our purchase. I think that some solid sales training and refining the way the construct cash deal should be addressed. Would I go back? Maybe, Maybe not, but they do have good prices. Just ask for Rick and he will shoot you a straight deal. I gave 4 stars because of Rick and the unit we purchased. read more

Our first RV, we tried the big Coachman dealer in Katy, Texas. BIG mistake! High pressure salespeople and high pressure management. I'm a retired firefighter and with my elderly mother, the Holiday guys in Katy really put one on us. They were "losing money" on the deal they were forcing us into. We left, I lost my deposit and on the way home from my dad's house I found San Antonio RV. The exact same Coachman Prism, same options and color scheme. I spoke to a salesman and told him what price I needed and he threw in a TV and starter kit! Then during the delivery, I had to tow my car back home. He took us to every Uhaul in Seguin, during Thanksgiving, and got us taken care of so I wouldn't have to drive back to Seguin to get my car. THAT is excellent customer service. I got a great deal and great service. We can't ask for anything more! We are customers for life. The guys at San Antonio RV will take care of you like they did us. read more

I purchased a pre-owned travel trailer - a 2010 Jayco Feather Sport 199 (to be specific) - in July of 2015. They also found and arranged financing for me. These folks were FANTASTIC! I was in a hurry, because I needed an inexpensive unit QUICK for a traveling job. Driving from the Austin area, I came in and spoke to Mike. I was able to pick out and put a deposit on a unit in two hours. Then, the finance folks worked diligently to try to arrange the best financing for me (I was credit challenged, at the time). Since I came in after banks closed on a Saturday, I came back the following week and signed all the papers. When I went to look at the unit again, AFTER signing the papers, we noticed a problem in the bathroom floor. Instead of trying to avoid it, they scheduled it for service as soon as they could (I had to leave town in less than 2 weeks). John in service was AMAZING. He replaced the entire bathroom and entry floors. Then, he double checked all of the systems for me, and PATIENTLY demonstrated how to operate everything. (As I had never had an RV before, he was a lifesaver!) Additionally, John was kind enough to take two different crisis calls from me, months later. First, when I discovered I had no power - he calmly walked me through all the steps to check the GFI's, the fuses, the battery and the converter (after they told me how to find it). Thank goodness, my answer was a humorous one: the converter had vibrated unplugged on the journey. So, the fix was much easier than the investigation. Second, on my first rain, I discovered a crack in the cover for the shower vent. Patrick told me what I needed to do to let him know which model it was (I was in Minnesota), and he sent me a replacement as soon as I let him know. What is your take-home lesson? FIRST: These people are trustworthy. I came to them as a single, older-woman, completely clueless about RV's. No one tried to take advantage of me, or oversell me. They got me what I wanted, within my budget. SECOND: The $495 inspection/warranty fee is a great deal. The day after purchase, we discovered more than a thousand dollars of work that needed to be completed. They stood by their warranty, with no argument. And, they managed to get work that took a week to accomplish completed - while they were in the MIDDLE of moving their entire business. This was a reassuring positive experience. Traveling for family vacation when our original camper's siding blew off going down the road. We limped along to San Antonio RV (7 hours away from home) where Waldo Pryor and his staff bent over backwards to meet our needs, get financing because we were from out of state (LA debt laws are different) AND got our new camper ready to leave THAT DAY so we could continue onto our trip. First time taking our new fifth wheel on the road. Many people noted to my Facebook page that rear of our F-350 was riding too low. Thought one of the causes might be underinflation of our air pin. Stopped at two truck stops but the chucks wouldn't fit in the gap. Decided next potential solution required an RV dealer. Quick Google search found three dealers within 20 miles. San Antonio RVs had high ratings from several people. Called and described the problem. They said they could help. Pulled in 20 minutes later. Talked to one of the guys at the front desk. They called Tom, the service manager. Tom looked at the truck and trailer and told me that adding air to the air pin would help and that he had a chuck to fit in the gap. Aired up the air pin then checked the truck tires and added air to the rear tires. He was the nicest guy. Didn't charge me for the assistance and gave me the chuck. Told me to call any time I had a question. If they treat some random person off the street this well, I expect they treat their customers like royalty. Thank you for helping. read more
