This contractor chose to do business with Dallas Marble Stone. Our counter top was not done the way I wanted it done (no fault of Dallas Marble Stone) and I contacted Dallas Marble Stone directly after we had to fire our contractor for not completing the job he was hired to do even though he had been paid for it. Scott (owner or Dallas Marble Stone) and Joe both originally said they would do the right thing for me and pull the counter for a very fair price and re-work it. I found out later that my contractor has not paid for the counter even though we (the homeowners) paid our contractor in full. Both Scott and Joe have now gone back on their word and said that they will not do right by me because the contractor is stating we did not pay. My husband and I are honest hard working people who thought we had hired a good contractor to do so. I hate that Dallas Marble Stone will have to go after my contractor for the money, but there is no reputable company that would expect the homeowner to pay twice for the same product. The owner of this company (Scott) even went so far as hanging up on me when I was trying to explain our perdicament. Stating that they have been in business for 35 years and they don't care to make things right. I would not recommend this company to do work for anyone.

One time was to do some counter top replacements so I…read morecould update a kitchen in an older home I was about to sell, and a couple of times to replace some marble when I was trying to keep costs down. They did a good job of sourcing the marble needed to blend in with what was already there. On the house I sold, I looked it over pretty good, and was happy that I saw straight grout lines. No little chips in the marble anywhere, it was a good job. They get in and get work done. I've never had any problem with them flaking out on when they are supposed to show up for work. They have most of the stuff prepared, so when they get there, it's more a matter of installing it, and not spending time "trying to get stuff to fit". The guys that have done work have always been nice, and they've answered any questions or concerns I had, even when I was probably just being an idiot about what I was asking. Last time I used them, they had just moved to a place in Burleson where they said they opened a showroom. I didn't go out there to look, but this was a couple of years ago. Also, I happened to be talking to the owner last time and found out they also do a lot of subcontracting work. I haven't needed anything like that, but I wouldn't hesitate to call and ask them in the future if I needed anything. Been happy with all the work they've done.

My husband noticed an etched spot on our beautiful new bathroom counter top (a polished petrified wood) in the guest bathroom. We could not figure out what had happened to mar the surface. I called Bart at Dura-Mar (they installed all of the beautiful counters in our new home), who came over and determined that someone had spilled a soda on it. He had to completely grind down and re-polish the surface (took about 3 hours). It was as good as new--and he did it for no charge! His workmanship is impeccable. If you are looking for unique, distinct counters for you home you need to check them out!
