I had went to him with my elderly father for the past 10 years or so to get our taxes done. This year, my father did not have to file, so I went solo. There were same changes in the law regarding no tax on overtime for federal employees. When I asked him about it and showed him my last paystub, he automatically dismissed my entitlement to any deductions, saying I was a salaried, not hourly employee. Little did he know that I asked my coworkers who had already filed and claimed this substantial deduction weeks ago. I was encouraged by my coworkers to have him look into it further because their outcomes were different when we had worked more or less the same amount of overtime. When I called Mr. Noriega the following week to schedule a follow-up appointment, he refused, saying he would only see me on a walk-in basis. On top of that, he was arrogant and said I insulted him by asking him to revisit the no tax on overtime for me. He became very defensive, saying he would have to charge me more because he failed to address the matter correctly the first time?. He should not be working with the public. He is not up to date on changes in the law and refused to look at my paystubs (spent 1 hour printing them out since he asked me to) or the overtime calculation that was manually done to make the process easier for both of us. After all that trouble he put me through, he said I would only get $3 more on my return??? I asked for a refund to take my business elsewhere. He then spells my name wrong on the refund check so I cannot cash it. Really??? He could not get over the fact that I hung up on him when he started getting loud and angry on the phone. I'm sorry, this man talks down to me like a misogynist and I do not need to stay on the phone and put up with his verbal abuse. Long story short, I went to a more reputable place and the deduction I received was jaw-droppping, in a very good way. I can't help but wonder why someone like Mr. Noriega would purposely try to hurt his customers if he truly knew what he was supposed to do, and end up denying them the deductions they are due by law? It makes no sense. I guess he could care less since he's not the one losing money. Learn how to do your job and don't lash out at your customers when they ask you for help. Being professional is not an option, it's a requirement.

Hablé con los del gobierno y me explicaron en detalle que los taxes los hicieron mal. A quien le voy ha creer, ha los federales o ha estas? Haro tengo que pagar una multa de $300. Aprendan hacer sus impuestos, yo y mi esposa los hicimos el año pasado, no está difícil . Además, el sitio del IRS tiene varios programas para hacer sus impuestos ustedes mismos GRATIS. Long story short, i got audited for my 2017 taxes (we're in 2022). I got a letter from the IRS and went to show it to the tax ladies. I went twice to show them my blue book from that tax year. They told me that everything was done right, just pay the fine then we can try to refund it or just call them. Honestly, who should i believe.. them or the feds? Bro i paid you for your service because I don't understand tax/financial terms but I'm supposed to talk to the IRS ‍. I ended up giving the IRS/FTB and they explained it to me in detail. So yes, my taxes were done wrong and now I got to pay a $300 penalty fine. Stay away from this place, learn to do your own taxes for FREE on the IRS site .
