    My family have let Cameo provide our car insurance needs since 2005. Keep that in mind. You would…read morethink an agent/broker and his employees would show more loyalty or muster up some kind of appreciation for our loyalty. Nope! In many ways we felt that we were treated like we were on an assembly line. Many times I'd inquire about getting some kind of discount seeing as we never filed a claim or had an accident. Their response was you are getting the "good driver's" discount. Nothing more nothing less. Considering that one of our vehicles is a 2006. The depreciation goes down daily. What sealed the deal causing us to leave cameo/Mercury as I said was the lack of care that we've been their customers for over fifteen years! I mean really? Some folks can't commit to anything for more than a few days. Any who, Gabby one of the reps. She came off like she was "nice." I can't stand using that word but I'll use it for her. She eventually showed her true colors. Something occurred which caused us to have to change our policy. For privacy reasons I shall not disclose what happened. But, it was beyond our control and involved the medical field. When things were cleared up we found that, in a sense, we were being penalized for what took place involving a medical issue! The last time we asked for clarity about our policy's price and reiterated HOW long we've been their customers, Gabby gave a nonchalant response that rubbed me and my family member the wrong way. She might as well said she could not care any less how long we've been customers. We NEVR lapsed on our premium. Just purchased a new luxury car, added to our insurance and paid the insurance in full. She and I'm sure the owner, Tyrone didn't care. The reason I say he didn't care is because when I called to tell Gabby, she answered the phone, that we wanted our insurance cancelled. She didn't ask why? What could they do to change our mind? She asked nothing and her attitude was stale. We didn't hear anything from the owner either. I wondered why I even gave them my business for so long?? Guess I didn't want to go through the rigmarole of looking for another carrier. When you've had enough of people's nonchalant attitudes when it comes to your money and time you'll find the ability to do business elsewhere. Plus, I believe she didn't want to deal with me anymore due to what I brought to her boss's attention. I recently addressed Tyrone, the owner, about the lack of Black Americans employed at his agency? Since 2005, I nor my family member have EVER been assisted by another Black employee other than the owner who is Black. Every time I've called or went to the agency for help I've always been assisted by people who do not look like me. Now, those amount of years at this location and I've never seen another Black American employed there raised many questions. I was told years ago that businesses are supposed to represent the area they are in. Meaning, there isn't only one group of people who live in the city that Cameo insurance is located. Tyrone gave me an answer that I didn't believe. Any who, I enjoy doing business with businesses WHO have employees that look like me, and have great customer service. Combine that serious concern with poor inconsiderate customer service. I'm gone! If you want bare minimal insurance service from people who really don't care that you are a loyal customer and you are fine with not being "represented" at a place of business AND you do not mind waiting THREE WEEKS for a refund after canceling your policy, which is absolutely absurd. Than they will suit your needs.

    First watch out for sneaky broker fees that he never verbally informed me of and snuck it in the…read moreagreement...I'm just noticing that now..smh..WHATEVS...but now My emails have been consistently ignored when I needed to make changes to my rental insurance...once I notified him my plans to cancel or modify my rental agreement from 1 year to 6 month (bc my apartment management made me sign a 6 month lease when they usually make me sign a 1 year lease) then I noticed I was charged a renewal fee of $98 for a one year policy after just 3 months...his excuse when I asked about the renewal charge was, "I can charge the renewal charge at any point I want."...even after just 3 months when the policy is for a year...and I just told you several times I want to shorten the policy?? BS! Then I told him he has to notify me before he charges me..and he said he sent an email...not true..and when I asked him to forward the email...nothing...and when I spoke to him he was unapologetic, had a major attitude, and told me he would charge me the $75 early cancellation fee (which was at his discretion)...even after a previous email stating he'd take care of me. !!!!!!BE WARNED OF $150 broker fee for rental insurance. He did not appropriately disclose this fee, because there is no way I'd pay $150 on a $220 policy! BOGUS!!! He is now ignoring me and refuses to forward me the email he sent about the "renewal fee". WHAT A SCAM! I have still yet to get a refund after being charged a renewal fee just 3 months into the policy...Its been almost a week of my texts and emails being ignored...I can't even get a response except on here...smh. Alan was great quick and easy when he's getting money...but once you need help adjusting a policy or getting a refund for being wrongfully charged, he will flip. He still has yet to apologize for overcharging me...I AM BEYOND SHOCKED! SMH...I will be contacting the guy who referred him to me from my car dealership and letting him know about his horrible customer service and lying on customers on yelp when they have receipts smh ‍‍ UNBELIEVABLE...and I'm a therapist smh...thought I've seen and heard it all...INTEGRITY IS NOT HERE. TRUST. From an honest social worker, single mom, and advocate for what's right and the truth.
