TLDR: Dr. Carro and Darla are simply amazing…read more 2 years ago I banged up my ankle pretty bad. Went to three people. First one, an urgent care doc who told me it was just a sprang. The Second time I saw someone was the next day, it was the RN filling in for my original primary care doctor. He took one look, said it was a sprang, no X-rays. The THIRD time, I saw my ACTUAL primary care doctor, but a month had passed since my "sprain" She ordered X-rays, referred and me to Dr. Carro. My Primary never called or messaged my results when she got my results. Turns out my ankle was broken, and they never notified me. Fast forward ANOTHER MONTH, and I meet Dr. Carro. WITHIN HOURS they find multiple breaks, tell me about it, and give me a prognosis. Two months passed and they were the only ones to actually help. if I had kept moving on it, the bone would've broken off and then I'd need surgery. And now, 2 years later the break has sadly developed into arthritis, and when it came time to be referred to a specialist, I specifically asked to be referred to Dr. Carro by name. I have trusted them to diagnose and treat my ankle. to remove ingrown toenails. And treat my Arthritis. They both always have amazing bedside manners. Darla is incredibly patient and kind, and respectful. And I can tell Dr. Carro LOVES what he does. There is such a sense of ease when I see a doctor's eyes light up with passion when talking about and explain your condition and explaining your prognosis. I can tell Dr. Carro truly cares, and loves his job. And I don't think I'll ever find a Doctor and their team as good as them.

I'm so glad that I took the time and effort to get a referral for my children with Sensational…read moreKids. My children are seeing two speech therapist and so far I've been remarkably pleased with both of their therapists. Everyone is very polite and upbeat. It's a very positive atmosphere. I feel like we get very personalized care. I can also see this occurring with other families as the therapists speak to the parents after the therapy sessions. Parents are welcome to attend sessions as well. They are very open to working with parents in order to achieve the best possible outcome for the children. My kids really enjoy coming. It's never a fight when we have to come to speech therapy. And the therapists always come out to update me on their progress. The facility itself is extremely clean yet simple. There isn't a lot of high-end decorating in the waiting room. But you must understand that this is a place for children. Lots of children. I feel the decor is appropriate for its intended use. We've been coming here for months and I would highly recommend Sensational Kids to other parents who have children in need speech, physical or occupational therapy.

Sooner Care did not contact me in any way... neither did Sensational Kids. The first week of December Sensational Kids admit to being aware of the claims being denied. They did not reach out to me, or send me a bill for two months. I still have never seen an actual bill, but am being asked to pony up over $900 that wasn't covered. Had SK informed me right away and given me the opportunity to pause services while i remedied the situation, no harm no foul, I could have paid for the one or two that slipped through and moved on, but for them to wait two months and then say "well, unfortunately i can't call every account we have" or something to that effect when I balked at the situation, is completely unconscionable. My daughter is not allowed to come back to thereapy until I pay the bill, even though we now have an appropriate (at least I hope, how am I to truly know if no one communicates with me) referral/scrip... I'm so dissapointed in the attitued of Sensational Kids.

The Norman doc referred is to Dr Smith in Edmond. Dr. Smith measured, calculated and planned the surgery and was able to communicate his plan to our son and us. We were very nervous as our son had his heart set on going in the Marine Corp. if this didn't work out, the Marines would not accept him. Fortunately for our son, the procedure went well and he had very little problems getting in and completing incredibly demanding basic training. It has been 2.5 years since the surgery and our son never complains about his feet. Thank you, Dr Smith!

The staff, including doctors, nurses, x-ray techs, and admin were all professional and friendly. Everyone made my son comfortable, and he really loved how his doctor's nickname is, "boss man." My son had to get a cast for his elbow fracture. He fractured his humerus bone, and was in a cast for three weeks. Yesterday, we came back for cast removal, and again got the same treatment. My son actually praised this place that he likes the people here way better than OU Children's. So, they are great with kids. They even have headphones for those with sensory issues. Cast removal can be loud so, they do offer headphones for those that don't do well with loud noises, like my son. I am knocking a star off my review, because I think all hospitals including specialty clinics should enforce no perfume or cigarette policies. I have POTS and asthma, and I am extremely sensitive to smoke smells, and perfume. I have a severe chemical sensitivity. They trigger my POTS. I did mention the profuse cigarette smell in the waiting area to front desk, and obviously not their fault that they have patients who smoke, and reek of cigarettes. I think they sprayed air freshener which again made the smell of the entire waiting room, and that entire section of the clinic smell even worse. I wished medical offices enforced these regulations since, there are a few of us that are allergic and sensitive to fragrances and smoke. The air quality was heavy in this building which makes me suspect they need to change their air filters, and possibly install an air purifying system. We have three air purifiers at home, and they really help keep the air light and clean. Hospitals should not smell like fragrances and smoke. I did ask if we could wait in the hallway outside of that section, and someone did come and get us when it was time for my sons appt so, they were accommodating. Overall, we had a positive experience, but the hospital building is old, and the buildings air quality is not the best.
