The…read morelast who helped me to design my kitchen was very helpful, though she did add in some unnecessary things (like extra side panels, that were later returned.) Installation was ok, but I felt like once the cabinets were in my house they didn't want to deal with me anymore. It was hard to get the refund for the extra panels and there were several teeny tiny sliver of pieces that I ordered but never received. My cabinet installer was able to create pieces to fit in these spaces (around the sink, above the refrigerator) but they were missing the factory finish, so they had rough edges. My biggest issue was that when we removed the plastic from the cabinets, the plastic coating on the larger pieces came off clean, but the plastic coating on the factory finished pieces would not budge. Even with all heart gun the plastic protective coating was very difficult to take off. It took several hours to remove the coating and even then, there was still adhesive left behind. I complained to Granite Expo and they simply didn't believe me and said of there was anything wrong with the cabinets, it was my fault. You live and you learn. Aside from the adhesive that won't come off, the quality of cabinets is good. I really wanted white high gloss cabinets and I mostly have that. I'm coming to terms with the mixture of high gloss and (sticky) matte finish on my kitchen cabinets since I have no other choice.

Correspondence via texts was painfully slow with 2-3 days taking to respond to one text at a time and to make a decision on whether they wanted to take a straightforward bathroom remodel job. To make things even worse, they asked if I was working with a designer as one of their requirements. So Fancy. Due to their unresponsiveness, when pressed to get back to me if they want to take a project, they said they are not interested. So much for providing unmatched customer service. A contractor's responsiveness is a direct reflection of their organizational skills and how they will manage your project. Poor communication early on is a leading indicator that milestones will be missed, crews will not show up, and the job will drag on. Stay away from these guys.

I drew it up on a piece of paper, with all the dimensions and started calling companies. Most balked because I didn't have an architect. This project was one cabinet! When I called Freedman and Chesley, they were open to taking this on. I went to the shop and was impressed with how attentive she was- and had some great ideas which I thought improved on my design. I was so glad when it was installed because it is the most beautiful part of the bathroom. BACKGROUND: We wanted bookshelves installed above a built-in cabinet unit in our living room. I sent Jitendra a sketch and described what we wanted. From my chicken-scratch sketch, he created a design and mock-up, then measured our space. While measuring, he flagged all existing flaws in the space (uneven/slanted walls) so that we were aware of all inconsistencies upfront. He has amazing attention to detail! RESULTS: We were simply blown away by how well he was able to match the custom shelves to our existing unit; all of the wood looks like it was manufactured at the same time! It truly looks like it was all constructed as one piece from the very beginning, which is exactly what we wanted.
