Wow - just wow! I can't say enough amazing things about Carol and her massages. I found out about…read moreHands on Massage & Bodywork from an Empowered Pregnancy series run through Advocate Sherman Hospital. Carol came and talked about all the benefits of massage - things I never knew about! I was definitely a person who has never been interested in massage therapy and knew nothing about it. She blew me away with her knowledge! Through my pregnancy when I started getting towards the end I learned that through all of my lifting and workouts I had made my body really tight and not necessarily prepared for childbirth. I quickly booked a massage at a local, corporate massage place and instantly regretted it. The person had no idea how to massage a pregnant person and was basically doing a typical massage on a pregnancy table. That's when I contacted Carol and set up an appt with her. From the moment I walked in I could tell this experience would be different. She has such a calm demeanor and instantly put me at ease. Her room is calming and smells wonderful! She knew all about different oils to use, pressure points and different massage techniques to do at different stages of pregnancy. I had done a lot of research on these things and she was talking about all of it before I mentioned a thing! She is very cutting-edge in her training, but that is backed with years of experience. I have never felt so confident in someone's expertise and ability in a long time. The massage itself was so relaxing and everything I needed at the time. I saw her a handful of times leading up to my pregnancy and she was awesome about fitting me in when I had time to come see her. It was honestly the best part of the last weeks of my pregnancy and I wish I had gone to her sooner. My body felt great, I felt more relaxed, my mental state was better, and it was just some great "me" time before the baby came. She would even talk to me about massages to do and pressure points to engage to help with some of the problems I was having. Even though she was further away from where I live, it was so worth the drive out there and I recommend her to everyone! You won't find a better place to get a massage.

My husband and I have a membership here and usually book an elite therapist for an additional fee…read more The massages are great--the therapists are excellent--but lately the pillowcases either smell like wet rags or the detergent is overpoweringly strong. I usually bring my own pillowcase. Aside from that, the experience is still pretty good.

As others have shared, the process in booking and talking with the front desk assistant was pleasant and efficient. The reminder messages were nice too. However, the intake form, prior to service, seemed pretty excessive to me. I have had massages at several other places here at home and out-of-state, while on vacation, and never had to fill anything out that took as long or asked what seemed like redundant questions. The massage therapists were skilled and professional and kept asking questions to get to the right amount of pressure. Unfortunately, it was hard to relax because of the strong paint or glue smell coming from construction next door. I realize this is outside Elements' control, but I just wished there was better ventilation as my husband and I both left feeling slight headaches. I felt bad for the staff having to endure the odor all day. That can't be healthy. What I expected might be nice aroma therapy scents, during a massage, were overpowered by a chemical smell. Pricewise, the intro rate was a good deal but we decided not to join at this time.

I told the lady I was surprised because a few months ago, it was $55. So when we were finished, she said I gave you discount but you need to make the review now. We were taking a little while opening up Google, still with messy hair, and as she was helping me on my phone, she hit 5 stars. My friend has no Google account. Lady says , you can do Yelp. It was like a harassment as I thought we finished the Yelp review, we received a text saying, " Hi , this is cozy feet spa, I just checked there is only one in Google, no reviews from you in yelp". We had to tell her we started to drive. I understand the reason that everything went up and their rent went up. I have not seen a lot of people go there anymore as it used to be. But the way she presented the discount and like pressuring us to finish the review like ASAP without leaving the place was not impressive. The guy who did my massage was trained and expert on what he does. Maybe, she can try a different marketing approach next time.
