There are many Thai restaurants in Norman, so we like to try them all just to see what they have to offer. We've ordered the PadThai noodles, kao soi, basil fried rice, and basil noodles from here before. Out of the four dishes, I would recommend the basil fried rice or PadThai noodles. I'm usually a die hard basil noodle girl, but I just wasn't feeling it from this restaurant. These dishes definitely have a different taste to them compared to the other Thai restaurants in Norman, so expect it to vary a bit. read more

This is my all-time favorite Thai restaurant. I've gone through most of the menu, both sushi and Thai and never had anything I didn't like. My personal favorites are Kao Soi and Green Curry. The service is always awesome and all the staff I've encountered are incredibly accommodating and kind. As a bonus it's one of the more reasonably priced Thai restaurants I've encountered, especially with their lunch specials. Definitely check this place out if you're ever in Norman. read more

Told them no peanuts for my Pad Thai due to my allergies , still ended up having an allergic reaction.. Condiments for Sushi were stacked on top of the lid to the containers with your soy sauce, etc.. Decided to give this place a shot. Ordered delivery. Two massaman chicken curries and pad thai. Asked for one curry to be mild as it was for a kid. They made both the curries extra spicy instead. We asked for three pairs of chopsticks, they gave us three forks. The pad thai was delicious. The flavor of the curry was good, despite the extra spicy. Omg nasty. The egg rolls you can tell came from the frozen food section at the market. I ordered the Chu chee salmon and the fish was so gamy. Not fresh at all. Terrible experience!!! The waitresses let us wait for 20 minutes. We had to come to the kitchen to ask for orders. Then one of the waitresses, surprisingly rude, said my friend told her we would have another one coming so they didn't come to ask (which we have never said anything like that) She was unfriendly toward us (only) for the rest of the meal, no water refill as well. The restaurant was not busy at all, there were like 6 tables and 2 waitresses. An american couple sat next to us was served very fast and friendly. They kept coming to check on them, while with us they just brought the food and left until the check came. Very unprofessional. Is it because we are Asians and they think we wouldn't tip as much as others? Especially funny because this is an Asian restaurant. Anyway, decent food doesn't worth this unpleasant experience. Despite its unkept outward appearance, some friend and I decided to give Thai Delight a try. We were very impressed with the atmosphere and set up inside and our expectations immediately rose. Our waitress was very attentive, helpful, and nice when we first set down giving us time to look at the menu (there are A LOT of options) and refilling our waters while we decided on what we wanted. We decided to order a California Roll and Spicy Salmon Roll as appetizers and split Vegetable Green Curry and Chicken Fried Rice as our main meals (which both came with either Miso soup or a salad, we all chose Miso). Our Miso soups came out first and they were very watered down but since they came free with the meal we weren't too annoyed. Oue sushi came out next and we found the Salmon Roll to be average but the California Roll to be mediocre at best. By this time we'd run out of water and it had not been refilled, even when they came by to take our sushi plates away, and our waitress was nowhere to be seen. Next, the Chicken Fried Rice came out about 5 minutes before the Green Curry and we were puzzled as to why our meals were not brought out at the same time, as when the curry was finally delivered it cold and the rice hard. We were incredibly unimpressed with both the Friend Rice (which had a strange combination of vegetables added to it) and the Green Curry that tasted more like chicken broth than curry of any kind. When we were ready to go it took more than 20 minutes for our check to be brought to us. This was especially frustrating because there are multiple signs that instruct customers not to get up and as for their checks. We were disappointed with Thai Delight and if we ever return we will definitely not order the California Roll, Chicken Friend Rice, and Green Curry. read more

What is not to like about Thai Delight? I have eaten here for years and it's consistently good. Now, during COVID, they have remained courteous, mindful and smart. While not compromising their quality. There is literally something for everyone here. I normally am not a fan of huge menus. But they are an exception here. I highly recommend this place! My boyfriend and I went for his birthday on 4/19/2017. The server did not check on us after we ordered. She ignored us when we tried to get her attention. Multiple tables that arrived after we did were served their food before us. I would say that my main issue is that we waited almost an hour to receive our food. Honestly we should have walked out when my boyfriend suggested it, but I at least wanted to pay for the soup that we did have and our water. The food was nothing special and NOT worth that wait. So. I think this may be my new go to Thai restaurant in Norman. They have the friendliest staff I have I have seen in a long time. The decor was so pretty. The menu is huge. Lots and lots of options. There was a lot of sushi options and you can get a boat full of sushi. Literally! I'm not a sushi person so I stuck to my usual. We got fresh spring rolls to start with. They were ok..a little too much lettuce. I would have liked more or larger shrimp and noodles because all I could really taste was lettuce. The peanut sauce was pretty good. All the meals come with a miso soup or house salad. I have never had miso soup so I have nothing to compare it to but I'm not a huge fan of tofu. The house salad confused me a little because I believe the waitress said peanut or garlic sauces and we asked for peanut. But it was definitely not a peanut sauce. I think it may be a combination of peanut and garlic sauce but it tasted like honey mustard to me. The sauce was not bad..just not what I was expecting. The chicken Pad Thai was great. The sauce is what really set it apart from the other Norman Thai restaurants. It didn't have shredded cabbage and carrot like I am use to, which I like because it gives it an extra crunch but I'm sure they would have added it if I asked. The Panang curry was great as well. I must admit I was reluctant to try sushi at a place where I've always liked the thai food. Most places I find that try multiple types of food only get one right. It may say THAI delight, and their thai food is good... But don't write off their sushi. In my opinion it's the best in Norman. When you do basic right, you know you have a winner and I've never had a better spicy tuna roll. I would actually put it up against some of my favorite fancy rolls at other places as my favorite roll. If you're going to share... My favorite Thai place in Norman. They have an extensive menu with plenty of Thai favorites, as well as sushi. The staff is attentive. Make sure to go for lunch! They have an awesome lunch special where select items are $7-$9, but includes rice, spring roll, and soup/salad. The serving is relatively large for the price (yay leftovers!). Our go-to is the Volcano Chicken, so crispy with a tasty sweet-sour sauce. The Yellow Curry and Kao Soi are also really good. Don't forget Pad Thai...on par with other places in town. read more
