    Szechuan beef

Chow's Chinese Restaurant still serves tasty food, however depending on who's in the kitchen. My Szechuan beef and the Green Chile beef were both tasty but very chewy or tough - the beef needed to be tenderized!!! Our hot and sour soup was lacking flavor. The fried eggplant was absolutely delicious. The BBQ pork was very tender and tasty. Friendly fast customer service.

We were surprised it wasn't busy on a Saturday evening. Peking spareribs were a tad thicker cut and more bones than usual. The rest-fried rice & tofu were good as usual.

Love the food. Our favorites are the Szechuan style eggplant and the shrimp with flat noodles. Not crazy about the wontons or crispy duck but everything else has been great.

Very good Chinese food and lower prices, their curry Chicken with rice is also great. Their steamed dumplings are also excellent as well. Beverages such as iced tea and OJ are also provided (in addition to Pepsi products). Interior ambiance also spacious with plenty of tables. Service also prompt and attentive. Recommended!

This place has been recommended to me for years and I've never been, so tonight my partner and I decided to go for dinner. I had the curry fried rice, he had the combination udon noodles and we split some apps (fried dumplings and crab Rangoon). The ladies in the front of the house were nice but not overly friendly. The place looked clean. The food was good but honestly a little underwhelming, especially for the price (which has gone up but they haven't changed it on any of the menus so surprise your $36 meal for two is now $50 before tip). The fried dumplings were really over done and the rangoon were almost non edible they were so well done. The fried rice was really tasty and to quote my partner "the udon noodles were good but the meat just tasted like it was from a fajita plate at a bad Mexican restaurant." I would definitely eat there again and try something different but it definitely didn't quite live up to the hype of my friends' recommendations.

I miss Chows soooo much. I used to live about half a mile away and get to enjoy the salt and pepper tofu weekly. Do not let the outside of the building deter you. This place is as legit as it gets. Every time I visit OKC, I have to go to Chows. It's just damn delicous. The owners are so friendly and provide excellent service. Hands down, Choes is one of my all time favorite places to eat .

Chinese food craving = Satisfied! If you're looking for a place to get Chinese food, this is the place to go. Upon arrival, the parking lot was packed. Once inside, and after viewing the menu, the options were endless. From authentic options to Westernized options, there's something for everyone. We got the Kung Pao Chicken, Szechuan Chicken, Chicken with Black Bean Sauce, spring rolls, egg rolls, and hot and sour soup (not pictured). Prices are reasonable! You can adjust the spice level, and chili oil is available at the table. My family and I have been on the hunt for a good Chinese restaurant, and we left Chow's knowing we would definitely return. We have found our go-to Chinese restaurant. We hope to return one day during lunch, too! The lunch specials looked very good! Come give Chow's a try the next time you're looking to eat Chinese food!

Over cooked my lobster. The chef must be in the rush.

I was quickly welcomed and put on a short wait but my 10-15 minute wait was more like 3 minutes. We both ordered a sandwich and tater tots as the side. The club sandwich was one of the best I've ever had. You can taste the quality of the ingredients. It had nice texture and the bread was perfectly toasted. It's a big sandwich and I took half to go. Tots were crunchy and golden brown. The macaroni pony was also delicious. We customized it at the recommendation of our waitress after trying to decide between several options. I would recommend giving this place a try. It was the perfect place to get a good meal while traveling thru town.

My mom ordered the Caesar salad without Parmesan. She said it was a little too spicy for her and didn't really taste like a traditional Caesar salad, so she probably wouldn't order it again. My other mom got the cheese curds and said they were really good, and my brother enjoyed his tater tots. I ordered the grilled cheese with tomato soup. The soup was delicious, and the sandwich had the perfect crispy, golden crust. My only complaint was that the cheese wasn't very melty--it tasted more like processed American cheese than a gooey grilled cheese. Even so, it was still really good. The atmosphere was relaxed, the waiter was friendly and polite, and all of the staff were welcoming. They also have T-shirts for sale, which was a fun touch. I'd definitely come back!

The brunch dishes look amazing too. My only small complaint was that initial service was a bit sluggish when we first sat down, taking almost fifteen minutes just to get water and take our drink order, and my side of fries came out pretty limp and inconsistent compared to how crispy the tots were. Once the meal got moving though, the chill vibe and tasty food made it a really solid lunch overall. the standout comfort food and the super laid-back environment are the absolute best parts about this place. That chicken-fried ribeye is tender, perfectly seasoned, and total comfort on a plate, while the loaded tots are an incredible appetizer to share with the table. Everything we ordered was incredible and you could tell how much thought and care went into every single dish. What really stood out was how creative and carefully crafted everything felt. The Asian-inspired flavors were unique and elevated without ever being overpowering. Every ingredient seemed intentional, and the flavors complemented each other so well. It felt like a modern and creative take on Lao cuisine while still highlighting the flavors that make the food so special. Foods tried: - Fried Calamari: SO frikkin amazing. flavors were a mix of salty, umami, lime, spiced. high recommended by our lovely waitress who was so spot on about this recommendation - Khao Piek Sen (Lao Chicken noodle soup). THE HIGHLIGHT OF OUR EVENING. I actually can't stop thinking about how amazing this was. Think the absolute best chicken noodle soup you've had in your life with the best handmade thick tapioca like noodles. - Yum Sen Lawn (Glass Noodle Salad): very refreshing and nice for a hot OKC day. - Pandan Cinnamon Roll. Good! Pandan flavor was there but cinnamon definitely overpowered a bit, still delicious overall. On top of the AMAZING food, the service was just as wonderful. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made the entire experience that much better. 5/5 without a doubt. Bar Sen is an absolute gem in OKC and a must-try if you appreciate thoughtfully prepared Asian cuisine. We're already looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu!
