This review goes only against the service I received as I didn't even get to try their food.
Terrible, terrible service. Ordered a vegan Pad Thai with a special request for no egg on the order. Relatively quick delivery, only to find Pad Thai with egg was delivered. I called the restaurant, the gentleman on the phone immediately said he'd send a new one and hung up- no courtesy, no apology. Bearing in mind this is the first time I have ordered here & they have got it wrong the very first time; not a great first impression.
The door bell goes, I take down the incorrect dish & the driver hands over the replacement. Before he goes, I asked to check it: it has no egg, but is half full & contains no vegetables and zero bean curd (as per the menu). Just onions & noodles. The driver advised me "okay, well just take the egg out of the other dish- whats the problem?" I was furious. As a paying customer, is this what we should come to expect from handing over our hard earned money?
I wonder if this is the restaurants allergy policy per se? Say someone has a nut allergy, they advise this and the restaurant "just takes it out"? I sent the driver back with both dishes & advised him his attitude and the food were unacceptable and I called the restaurant back.
Again, the gentleman on the phone had no courtesy, was very rude and even put the phone down to argue with the kitchen staff to then advise me the food was sent out okay without any problems, to advise I was lying/incorrect; because of course, an individual looking to order a take away after 9pm typically sends back food for the sake of it.
I managed to get him to email me a copy of the refund receipt, however I had to insist more than three times on a refund for food I did not consume (and even sent back so he could see). I will never, never order from here again. I advised the gentleman I would leave a review for the way I was treated, whereby he hung up. Well done Thai Garden. Impeccable standards. read more
