Besides being utterly lovely and reliable and the right blend of spiritual and cool, Zowie gives an incredible deep tissue massage that leaves me feeling energized (not like a wet noodle) and invigorated, while also relaxed. And now -- she manages and oversees Therapies at the Grocery, a lovely reincarnation (formerly My Treatment Rooms) that brings together practitioners in massage, acupuncture and reflexology in a calm and serene space. Enter through The Grocery on Kingsland Road, directly to the right and downstairs. At £60/hour it's a bargain. I find this to be a great deal given how excellent I feel afterwards. She has great availability and is easy to schedule with. There are also several other practitioners that have been great (my husband recently saw Alice). If you need some work, they will get you in. I've also gone to her for a session of reiki (energy healing) after having my baby, and could feel a sincere difference. I still invest in this as Zowie is so intuitive and has a special talent. The centre offers rather inexpensive yoga lessons for 6.25-which are enjoyable to learn as they are taught in happy, interesting fashion,giving attention to all levels and all ages. Out of interest the classes they offer include qi gong,tai chi,Pilates and pre-natal and post natal yoga. The lessons are delivered in six nicely decorated rooms.
