Thai Pavilion has two primary locations, Farmington Hills - 12 Miles, and Northville, 6 Mile. Both places are clean, quiet and professional. All of the therapists are well trained. They will automatically include hot oil and hot stones at no extra charge. Consistently, regardless of the therapist, the massage is strong, the areas that have issues, back legs, etc., are addressed. Very rarely will a massage not be great. Unlike some other places, Thai Spa Pavillion is well managed, well-trained staff and accommodating. The owner(s) do a great job. One of the best places in the area! Highly recommended. read more

I really enjoyed my massage here. It was a little difficult to find the spa because its on the second floor and the business directly below is empty at the moment. I had bought a groupon that included the salt cave experience after but that room was out of order. They gave me a coupon so I can come back and experience it once it was fixed. Thai massage involves you going through yoga-like movements with the assistance of your therapist. Meanwhile the therapist applies direct or rhythmic pressure on your muscles. With the traditional Thai massage, you will lie down on a padded mat on the floor while wearing loose clothing, however here it was more of a combination with a traditional Sweedish massage because they used oil. Overall, great facility that I will be happy to visit again soon. read more

I would warn anyone going if you're a woman, that you will get a very Thai style massage, where the petite woman climbs on your body and cracks your back. It feels very good, but if you have any issue with personal space, ask for this to be skipped. My fiancé reported not receiving that, so perhaps special to female clients. This was a great place at one time. I had two great massages. Recently I had a massage therapist who was tired at the end of a long day. It was NOT a good experience. I won't get into specifics but she was not gentle. She was careless and never changed her style when I gave feedback. "Ow!!" It universally means a person is in pain. And my pain was not because I'm not used to massages etc. My pain was because she was inflicting pain. I'll spend my $85 elsewhere. Very sad to have to report such a negative experience because businesses do not need negative reviews. At the same time they need to make sure customers are having a good experience. read more

My bride and I visit ToT on random Sunday mornings. Why Sunday's? A bit of a discount ... one hour is $50, 90 minutes is $75. Never had a bad massage. But we each have our favorite massuese. My experiences at Thai Spa Pavilion have been hit-or-miss. At my first appointment, a couples massage, I fell in love. The masseuses provided an exceptional massage that left both my husband and I feeling heavenly. The masseuse listened to everything I said and gave the best massage I've ever had. I loved all parts of the massage and wanted to go back the very next day! My next appointment, a massage by myself, was equally wonderful. I loved the massage that I received and told my husband that we should go back for a date some time soon. My third and most recent appointment was not quite as wonderful. My masseuse did not give nearly as good of a massage as other masseuses and did not do everything that the other masseuses did. I really enjoyed the hot stones that all of my other massages came with, but for some reason this most recent massage had no hot stones. I was surprised when she said that the massage was over, as I had been eagerly waiting for the stones. Two out of three massages were wonderful, but the third was lacking. I'll give the benefit of the doubt and hope that going forward the massages will be just as good as the first two! read more

The only part I didn't like was the head massage but that's something you can ask them not to do. I also did the salt room therapy and it really works. Also the ambiance was very relaxing and welcoming. The front desk attendant was very courteous, professional and kind. My massage was ahhhhhhmazing!!! The technique was bit different from typical massages that I usually get - but it was exceptional. All of my tension, knots and stress were GONE after my massage. In desperate need of a massage and I've been eyeing their Groupon for the longest time. I finally decided to give them a call to see if they have any deals. Woo hoo! Just my luck they have a special on Sundays! Thank goodness for old yelp reviews that gave me this hint. They're located across the street from Harrison High School on the second floor. There was probably 3 guests waiting when I arrived. I waited less than 10 mins before I was brought to my room. My room was a couples room located near the front of the spa. The walls are fairly thin since I was able to hear my neighbor talk, but that was only when her masseuse walked in. The rest of the massage was very relaxing with music playing in the background. My masseuse's name was GIFT and just like her name she truly was a gift! She asked what areas I wanted her to focus on and worked hard to get them knots out! Started off with a warm towel on my feet to wipe them down. Then used lotion to massage me which is what I prefer because I don't like leaving feeling super greasy. She made sure to ask if the pressure was ok. Didn't try to talk to me during my massage so I was able to really relax. Hot stones were included in my 90 minutes massage and it really helped relax those muscles. After she was done she wiped the lotion off with a warm towel so it doesn't get all over my clothes. She was truly amazing. I honestly can say that thai massages are the best and I've had a pretty good amount of massages in my days. They were missing the bars on the ceiling though. Typically they would also walk on your back to stretch and massage you, but they don't have that here. They also have salt rooms here and you can purchase deals on Groupon. I haven't tried them, but heard they were good for people with allergies. I can't wait to come back for another massage! Long story short, I had an appointment that I was 100% ready to keep and Be on time for. Someone had a medical emergency at my job in it was my responsibility to stay with them until they receive the help that they needed. I had my wife call And tell them this. She told them that I will be 5 minutes late. Which was the original estimate. The emergency ran 10 minutes beyond the ETA. I get a call from Thai spa pavilion telling me that they are only going to be able to do half of the massage because they have another appointment. They did not offer me an opportunity to reschedule nor did they have any sympathy or apathy for the situation that was beyond my control. If you are human living real life do not use this spa. They are cold and uncaring. Not attributes that you would want in some body responsible for your physical well being. read more

After reading the reviews and having a recommendation from a personal friend I tried it out. I was able to walk in a little after they opened and immediately checked in and taken to a room. I was told that they get on the table with you to help with the massage and stretch but it still came as a surprise. Everything was amazing and at the end she stretched my legs and I didn't even know that I was still sore from a workout two days ago. I will definitely be back and can't wait to try the salt room. The only thing I will say to others is just be sure you don't have a lot to "take off" because there wasn't anywhere for me to put my clothes. Just a place to hang my coat and I had to use that to kind of place my folded clothes on the bottom. But otherwise I LOVED IT! read more

I purchased a Groupon for a 60-minute massage and 45-minute salt cave session for two. Neither my husband nor I have ever had a Thai massage or a salt cave experience. We arrived and dude at the desk took us to a room and walked away. We were surprised that we didn't need to fill out any forms. There is music in the building, which you can faintly hear in the massage room. My masseuse, Ami, asked me if there are areas she should focus on. I told her my shoulders and back but it didn't matter because she didn't focus on those areas at all. My husband said that his masseuse, Gift, didn't say a word to him. Since I never had a Thai massage before, I didn't expect the masseuse to climb on top of me. When Ami was massaging my hands/ fingers, she held them so close to her that my fingers kept brushing up against her mid-section (?). I didn't want to touch her. She told me to relax my hands but I found it hard to do so. There was also a lot of greasy oil slathered on and applied - not massaged - all over. When it was time to flip over onto my back, Ami abruptly ripped the sheet off of me and told me to turn over. That was weird. She then threw me into yoga-like poses. At one point, I had to wave "stop" because my leg couldn't swing forward to touch my nose. After 60-minutes, Ami and Gift said the massage was over and left the room. I got dressed and told dude at the desk that we were done and asked where the salt cave is located. Before entering the salt cave (a large room), my skin was so greasy that I washed my arms and neck with soap and water in the bathroom. The salt cave has eight recliner chairs and blankets. My husband and I each fell asleep. My husband was getting over a cold and he said the salt cave relieved his stuffy nose. Our 45-minutes was up, but no one came to get us. Overall, there is no hospitality and the experience was strange. We will not be back. read more

I called late afternoon desperately looking for a massage and they got me in the same night! This was my first time and I was very pleasantly surprised. Especially since I didn't read any of the reviews before going. The receptionist was very friendly and the spa was very clean. As for the massage, it was certainly the most interesting massage but also so good. She stretched my arms, legs, and neck. It seemed a bit strange at first as my legs were flying in the air and to the side, but I walked out of there feeling great. Today is the next day and I still feel great. My girlfriend surprised me with a massage at this location and it was amazing. We had a 90 minute massage and my masseuse was Doy. I like a lot of pressure for my deep tissue massage and she did a very good job. I have always gotten massages in the past and this was the best massage I ever received. I feel like here, they get all of the your areas. You are more exposed here compared to other locations but it works out. On top of your massage, they help you with stretching. This spa is a one stop shop for some R&R! My husband and I had a package for a 1 he couples massage and a 45 min salt room therapy. Our experience was very full filling. The massage therapist was very good and made sure the pressure was ok and the oil/lotion smelled very nice along with the light music playing I was able to just relax and enjoy my massage. Afterwards we went into the salt room which is dimmly lit and decorated like a cave with salt on walls and the floor like a beach. There are comfortable lounge chairs and blankets to cozy up in along with some salt lamps and soft music. I felt very relaxed and concentrated on my breathing to let all the benefits of the salt go in through my nose and exahle out my mouth. Been going here regularly for two years but something happened today that I can't stop thinking about. My usual masseuse was not available so I had someone else, her name was Kip? I think. When I flipped over onto my back for the second half of my massage, she took the ELASTIC HEADREST COVER and wrapped it around my entire face? Like my eyes, nose, mouth..... I started having an actual hot flash and could not breathe. She didn't say anything nor ask me to put on a mask, she deadass took the cover off the head rest and tightly wrapped it around my face. I'm appalled. After about 10 minutes I pulled it up over my nose and she asked me to cover my nose, I told her I actually could not breathe and she told me to cover my nose & that we would be done in a few seconds - I wish I would have told her to end the massage there. read more
