My favorite local Thai restaurant! It is located right off Wedington in a small shopping center next to a Goodwill drop off. The restaurant has a lot of seating and a large bar but the parking lot is quite small. The employees are always nice and friendly. The prices are average for this area and they do not have a lunch menu but use the same menu all day. They offer a military and (I think) a student discount. Their portions are large and they food is consistent and always taste great and are nicely seasoned. Sometimes for dinner they are quite busy and the wait time for your food is very long but lunch is always fast and fresh. I recommend checking them out if you are a fan of Thai food. read more

This spot is truly a staple for us during busy seasons! The pad Thai is our go to. It is great because they work with food allergies as well as super quick. Feels more like a sports bar inside. Hard surface chairs and booths uncomfortable. Service and staff excellent. But the food was dull. Larb had way too much fish sauce, overpowering sour smell and salty. Needed lime for balance. Spring roll wrappers were too rubbery. Ordered Pad Ke Mao with tofu. Tofu was hard and rubbery. Dish was flavored ok but just one-note. Wine choice was too limited and very cheap. Fortunately they had a few nice local beers. Larb, Pad ke mao, spring rolls and a beer was 75 bucks. Far too much for the quality. Very sad that the Thai place most convenient to us is so mediocre. Will not be going back. read more

Our first time at this restaurant and it was amazing! Tammy and I were wanting a little lunch before we drove home from Fayetteville, so we decided to try Thai Spice. The restaurant is in a small strip mall, and the signage isn't too noticeable. The restaurant is tastefully decorated in a "Thai" theme. We were greeted by a friendly server, "Lilly Pad", who assisted us in what was recommended on the menu. We started with the Vegetable Thai Fried Spring Rolls, which were served with a nice peanut sauce. Tammy had the hot green tea and I had the hot jasmine tea, both served with honey and lemon, and both were nice. Tammy had the #49 Red Curry with Chicken and I had the #26 Stir Fry Ginger with Shrimp. Both are served with a heart-shaped serving of white rice. These were amazingly delicious offerings, and you can choose the heat level for your individual taste 0 to 5 level or "Thai heat". Tammy had the 3 level, which was enough for her, and I had the 4 level, which was hot enough. I like spicy heat, but there's a point where the heat is overpowering. 4 heat is just right. When we first arrived, there were very few people in the restaurant. our order was taken quickly. we ordered an appetizer and an entrée. It took over an hour to bring out entrees and our appetizer came after our main course. And it was only after I asked for it. Geesh... Yikes! The lack of service in this restaurant is deplorable. Myself and another single top walked in at the exact same time. Staff said "sit anywhere you'd like" so we both did. 15 minutes later still no drink order, menus or a "hey, we'll be with you shortly". Left and went to Hunan Manor next door and was seated, order taken and appetizer on the table within 7 minutes. The college boys at the bar were certainly not having my same feelings. Let me preface by saying the food is 5 stars for sure and it's a definite must try. The first time we came in, we'd come maybe a little over an hour before close and there weren't a lot of people so service was good. The second time we came in, they were a bit busier and unfortunately the service was really bad in my opinion. I didn't know who or where my server was, nor did I feel that we were truly taken care of. The drinks, appetizers and entree's came one by one, which was strange. There were no check-ups periodically on the table or even if the food came out correctly. We sat there for maybe 20 minutes towards the end waiting for someone to come by with boxes or to acknowledge that we were done. (Thankfully the one male server spotted us just sitting there waiting and brought us boxes without being prompted. Easy place to walk in to and enjoy Thai. Service was excellent, fast and friendly. I had the red curry and my wife had the mango curry we split an order of summer rolls all of which was delicious. The Thai tea is amazing, not too sweet and just the right amount of half and half(or some similar kind of dairy). They have a full bar and the beer list is great! read more

We placed an order for four over the phone and picked it up. Found that my curry was missing the rice. We called and they felt so bad and gave us two orders of rice when we went back. We love Thai and have had it so many places in Kansas City. This is hands down the best Thai food we have had. They have a wide spice range so I assumed it was on the milder side but I was wrong. Level 2 was perfect, I can't fathom triple Thai hot! The red curry was filled with veggies, usually I have to add more from home but this is not the case here. Filled with green beans, peppers, mushrooms and more. The Pad Thai isn't overloaded in sprouts, great balance of everything. Their tofu holds help well in dishes. The kids fried rice was huge. There are onion pieces but it is sweet onion, no spice. Prices are on the low side for portion and quality. We will be sure to visit again when we are back. read more

Pad thai is a hit or miss in Thai/Laos restaurants for me, so I usually opt for other dishes but I decided to go off the beaten path and LEMMETELLYOU the pad thai here is the perfect amount of saucy, with the perfect amount of veggies/meat, and the noodles are perfectly cooked. No mushy!! Highly suggest to order the crunchy pork springrolls and the angel wings. The apps don't take too long to get to the table which is another big win in my book. Nikole is lovely and ensures her staff sets customer service standards at the top of the priority list. We had such a good experience and are excited to come back!
