The real deal! This is hands down my favorite Thai place in the Columbia region. I went on a whim last week and was incredibly impressed. The traditional Thai artwork and atmosphere inside was so cool. The woman who served me was incredibly attentive (owner maybe?) and kept filling up my diet cokes (I might have a problem but mind ya business!) and I so appreciated it! I ordered the spring rolls which were HUMONGOUS. I also ordered my favorite Thai curry, Panang, and was blown away by the flavor set. The prices were wonderful, the service was great, and the atmosphere was fabulous. So thankful to find this place - I will be back! read more

This place used to be one of my go-to's for Thai food and it still is sort of. I went by today and had some coconut soup, spring rolls along with some chicken rolls. I really don't know what the deal is but it seems like they are slipping lately. The coconut soup is watered down and basically has no rich coconutty flavor, the spring rolls were marginal, but the chicken rolls were pretty good. Don't get me wrong. I love Thai food... Good Thai food. Service is fine and the lady is polite but short. The ambience is okay. I have seen a steady decline in the quality of food at Thailand restaurant. It's disheartening. read more

Great place! I can't believe I've lived near this restaurant for 5 years and this was my first eating here. Nice, clean, and quiet on the inside. This would be a great restaurant for a date night! I have eaten here several times over the past few years and it continues to impress. The quality and quantity of food make this place a must go. I am very particular about Thai restaurants, having lived in the Pacific Northwest where there's one on every street. This place would be successful there, too. Not much to look at from the outside, but the inside is charming and clean. It's not a big place, but there are plenty of tables. They also do a great takeout business. The most recent trip we ordered chicken Pad Thai and beef Pad Prew Wan. We added crispy rolls to complete the dinner order. We've ordered several different items and not once have we been disappointed. The Thai Egg Custard is a great cap to your meal. read more

I am updating my previous review. This place is a small family owned restaurant, which is my preference if the food is good and Thailand restaurant did not disappoint. They have a pretty good size menu with awesome selections. I dined with my husband and father and between the three of us we were able to try a good amount of starters and entrees. Everything was pretty tasty, especially the papaya salad (my husband is still talking about it) and the garlic tilapia (my favorite). The service was great. Very attentive and kind. read more

The service and hospitality here is unmatched. The food is delicious and comes out very fast for food made to order. I come here about once a week. I walk in the hostess asks me how my family is and if I want my usual. She remembers everything! She also gave me a giant quart of hot curry and coconut milk soup when my wife was sick for free without asking. At last it may have taken a year but I finally found a quality Thai restaurant in town. I honestly can't say enough positive things about this restaurant! An unassuming yellow and green building that opens to a small seating area with an eclectic ambience. Staff is incredibly welcoming, and all dishes are made to order. My colleague, and I decided to go check out the restaurant after having heard positive reviews from friends, the recommendations did not prove wrong! We both ordered the Pad See Eww, tofu and chicken respectively. The taste was spot on and not overly greasy. Additionally, unlike its standard preparation the Thailand version is served with loads of veggies. with an abundance of vegetables. If there's any feedback I could offer it's that I probably would've liked it to have had a little bit more heat; but with that said, I'm sure they would have brought out chili had I simply asked. We have been trying to find good Pad Thai since we moved to Columbia. We found ourselves in the Lexington area during dinner time and ordered two shrimp pad thai for pick up. When I walked in, the space was clean and the man at the counter was so friendly! This place is sooo good, I ate here two days in a row. My Dad and Step Mom love this place and took me here for my birthday. As appetizers, we had the wontons with chicken, chicken wings, and crispy rolls with chicken which were all delicious. For my main dish, I ordered Panang Chicken and it was AMAZING!!!! I LOVEDDDDD it! It was so flavorful, robust yet light. It was my first time having the dish and I was not disappointed. My parents ordered the Hurricane with the shrimp. They loved their dish as well. I wish they would've gotten the chicken so I could try it because it looked and smelled divine (not pictured)! The second day I ordered the 10 chicken wings with vegetable fried rice and Thai chili sauce. Not only did I have two days worth of food but I also had pure joy eating vegetable fried rice that had more than the standard carrots, onions, mushrooms and broccoli. There was also celery, cabbage, peas, snow peas, beans, and peppers. The owners are super nice and run a great establishment. I feel like it's a hidden gem, however, I believe that's what makes this place special. We got our food very quickly so yes, the service is super fast. Everything was fresh, affordability for the amount of food is unmatched, and the taste is beyond great. A DEFINITE recommend for great, authentic Thai food. You won't be disappointed. read more

This has to be one of the best Thai restaurants in Colimbia and if I ever win the lotto, I'm buying them a major renovation. The actual restaurant is falling apart, especially the exterior. Food was delicious and decent sized portions, my family got the dinner sized portions of: spicy pad Thai shrimp pad se-ew chicken pad se-ew house fried rice beef pad Thai I'll say, I was happy with the results and my family will be coming back for more. The establishment is ran by a very friendly elderly couple, the husband works in the kitchen and the wife works the front of the house (taking orders, filling drinks, cleaning up, taking phone orders, etc) So just keep this in mind when it starts to get busy or they might not answer the phone right away, it's just the two of them. Be kind and respectful, most people don't know what it's like working in the food industry, especially running a restaurant business. This place is pretty good, and could have been a lot better had we kept some things in mind before going in. This review will highlight some things you should be aware of before going, and our thoughts while we were there. Thailand restaurant has a small, quaint interior with only one server servicing up to somewhere between 10-15 tables. I would imagine this could cause your service to be slower when super busy, luckily it wasn't at capacity when we were there and service was pretty attentive. THE ORDER: -Pad Thai (w/ Chicken) -Red Curry (w/ Chicken) The Pad Thai is pretty good, though I was mildly disappointed to find it was not served with lime, and was not asked for a spice option when ordering. I noticed other people at the restaurant going out of their way to ask for their food made spicy (typically in Thai restaurants there is a spice level for most orders you're asked about which I was expecting, but oh well). I found myself wishing the Pad Thai had the spice I was looking for throughout the meal, but even without I found that it was pretty good, was a very satisfying portion, and it's likely my fault for not inquiring about the spice/lime. The red curry was VERY good. A much more noticeable hint of spice, very creamy and cooled beautifully by the rice. The curry definitely was the highlight of the two entrees, though the pad thai is likely a contender when spicier. LUNCH NOTE: Yelp has a picture of a menu that boasts two different prices for lunch and dinner portions (the restaurant is open for separate hours regarding lunch and dinner). This is no longer the case and the portions are all the same price (~$9). We specifically went for lunch and found this mildly disappointing, but still reasonable. Overall, Thailand restaurant was a solid meal that likely could have been even better, and somewhere I would go again. read more
