It was my first time working for a plywood manufacturer and only after 4 weeks of actually being in the office, time missed due to quarantine. The woman training me, Lisa Sheets, became undependable to ask questions and get information from. She started to blame me for errors that were not from myself, some of the errors even being hers. She put me down for writing notes on sticky notes and putting them at my desk, because to her that meant I "Didn't know" the information. Even though I wanted it to refer back to until I felt confident in knowing it. Biff Jones, the owner, screamed at the warehouse employees when things didn't go as planned, as if people are perfect and not supposed to make mistakes. Biff Jones, and Lisa Sheets were the most unprofessional, disrespectful, power hungry people I've ever met. I had been sick with stomach bugs, which she insisted I go home, even when I begged her to let me stay to work and learn. Then to turn around and tell me I've missed to much time and I wasn't where SHE wanted me to be. Through my whole time working there, if I'm not allowed to ask questions how am I supposed to get where I need to be? That entire plant, office and warehouse, if you didn't understand something. You were belittled, and treated like you were stupid. Everyone was rude, ignorant, trying to dig into your business to use it against you. I have never felt so upset that a company could treat people like that. After she fired me because I wasn't "The right fit" which I think it was more of a "I'm jealous everyone likes you and isnt talking to me anymore". I grabbed my things peacefully and quietly, and went to my car to call my mother. Next thing I know they had CALLED THE COPS ON ME, and told them I was "Refusing to leave" and I had "Carried on" when they fired me. Do not support a company who can't even support their new employees to learn and strive.
