Mark offered suggestions that the first two companies did not even think of and offered a better price. We completely gutted the kitchen and added sliding glass doors. Like any remodeling project on an older house we ran into our share of "unknowns" but Mark worked with us and was quite reasonable about the costs to correct things that had to be addressed. We loved the finished project and were quite pleased with all of the workers. In 2012 we replaced an existing sunroom and remodeled the adjoining family room as well. Both rooms were completely gutted and the sun room had new windows and new walls installed. Again, we loved the finished project and were quite pleased with the workers. In April 2014, a fire at a neighbors home spread to ours and our home was damaged as well. Luckily, our previously remodeled rooms were not affected. A restoration company offered to do the clean-up and reconstruction, but we called on Colebrook Construction to do the major repairs. Mark worked with us and the insurance company. Colebrook Construction repaired a fire damaged wall, installed siding, roofing, and replaced a burnt down fence. They also did interior painting, drywall repairs, carpet replacement and replaced insulation in our wall and attic. After the fire repairs were completed we also had Colebrook remodel our laundry/powder room and foyer in June 2014. Those projects included new ceramic tile floors, paint, baseboard heater replacements, and a new toilet and vanity/sink in the powder room. We also replaced an old wrought iron railing with a new wooden one. Again we were very pleased with the job that was done and all the workers Colebrook used.

Because it was almost a total rebuild we needed Mark's opinion and guidance with several aspects of the project. We're not the experts but he sure is! He was happy to help whenever asked and we're glad we did. He is a true professional and was very helpful with some of the tough decisions and details that really made the final product stand out. We also had him install hardwood flooring and replace windows. All good there too! From what I've heard in researching remodeling contractors Mark is one of the best in managing the project from beginning to end. He stays on top of the details and keeps you informed. Had I known that previously I would have given them the task of redoing my kitchen backsplash. Unlike most contractors CKC is a relatable husband/wife team. As a female customer I always felt comfortable and not spoken down to like I have with some home improvement companies. Katina is the office wiz and often does estimates, while Chris is the job foreman but will do an occasional estimate. In prior homes I used other flooring companies with varying degrees of happiness. I found CKC prices to be fair and their work quality high. I don't remember how I discovered them but I never saw them advertised anywhere. In the early stages of using them Chris did the work personally. In recent years I believe their business has grown so much that now his son does the actual install. Nevertheless I've not had a floor transformed that I was not happy with. Including my dining room which I thought was too far gone to save. When we removed the carpet we discovered thick tar like paper backing material stuck - yes stuck - to the original hardwood floor. It had been there for many years, probably glued intentionally by a previous owner. After trying to scrap it myself with no success I really thought this floor was a total tear out. After three days of work by CKC the floor was resurrected into a timeless hardwood beauty. Not one ounce of its former life, with the paper adhered remained. Thus began my long time relationship with CKC. My only disappointment as of late is that sometimes it takes a few days from them to call you back concerning an estimate, scheduling, or question. On the last job I wish I would have notified to tell me my floor is completely finished and when it can be walked on. But I believe this is due to their ever-growing work load. Overall I am a very satisfied customer and would and have recommended them to others.

Well. Since they DELETED my review on Facebook and blocked me, I guess I will have to resort to…read moreother means. First off, I feel like we were pushed into signing the contract. It was a very "used car salesman" vibe from the beginning and my boyfriend and I should've known better. Red flags from the get go, like telling me we needed to sign in the next 3 days or he had to "build a whole house" and would take much longer. Despite telling T I wanted a fully custom bathroom, my original estimate was around 2500. After being roped in it was closer to eight. But this was the least of my issues. Completely inconsistent timing, "T" and "M" telling me so many lies they couldn't even keep up with each other. Showing up randomly, not showing up on days they said they would, and sometimes a complete lack of communication. In the end it looked okay... for a day or so. However now I have shifting tiles and messy groutwork in my mosaic bathroom. They also made a complete mess all over my house and left trash like open candy bars and McDonald's bags everywhere. Didn't clean up after themselves. I called complaining because not only did they NOT fill the holes in my drywall, but they didn't paint my radiator! Both of which I paid for!!!! The floor tile grout looks like crap now only a few weeks later. There were spacers left in it and it is stained? Probably because they busted a pipe in my sink and water exploded everywhere and they rushed to get it done when the floor was still wet. They never came back for detailing and let someone paint who left spots around the light fixture they installed. Didn't paint before they installed it... Why exactly? They sent someone to fix the pipes that were leaking after bathroom vanity was installed but I was told that Monday they would come and touch up the grout. Heard nothing from either of them, and then they blocked me on Facebook four days later. EDIT: The owner has contacted me and is coming to fix the messy work very soon.
