When I heard that the creator of Chicken Fire was opening a wing spot, I knew I had to try it since I'm a huge fan of Chicken Fire! We opted for delivery through Uber Eats and the order was prepared and delivered super quickly so everything was nice and fresh. We did a combo of 15 honey buffalo wings and crinkle fries. The order came with an option of two dipping sauces, so we had chose ranch and blue cheese. Another member of our group had ordered an extra cup of wing sauce and this seemed to replace our ranch unfortunately, but not a big deal. The sauces are all made in house. I enjoyed the blue cheese on my wings and for dipping the crispy, yummy, crinkle fries in. The wings themselves were cooked perfectly and a good size with nice amount of juicy meat. I liked how the sauce adhered so well to the wings. I did feel the sauce was lacking a bit in flavor; I was expecting a bit more oomph. I thought they would be nasty and soggy after the wait but to my surprise after a few secs in the microwave they were good. I had the lemon pepper and some kind of spicy bbq flavor (don't quote me). The lemon pepper was amazing, very tasty and perfectly seasoned. No complaints. The bbq one I wasn't really feeling the flavor but I would definitely try some other flavors in the future. So for February I wanted to get a few black owned businesses to write some reviews on. What better way to start my lift than with this one! The gentleman at the register who took my order I think was the owner after looking at their IG page. He was nice and helpful and overall had a great demeanor about being at work. While I decided what I wanted I got to watch him interact with the customers before me and he was the same throughout. Friendly and helpful. I decided to get the 20 wings so I could try 2 different flavors. Lemon pepper and the secret rub were the chosen stars for this review. I also ordered 2 fries, ranch, blue cheese and a side of their honey buffalo sauce on the side since I like sauces but my family doesn't (kids) lol. After placing my order it was cooked fresh. The fries were crispy and the wings were fried hard (just how I like) and I didnt even ask them to fry them hard. The lemon pepper had a great amount of lemon flavor and seasoning on it. The secret rub now that was a game changer! It was delicious. I use this type of rub on my ribs when I cook and never thought to use it for fried wings but it was amazing! The honey Buffalo sauce was also great. It didn't have much of a heat to it so it should be good for people and kids who don't like spicy but want a "Buffalo" flavor. The sauce reminded me of a place in Daytona we get wings from and I love their sauce. This is great since it is way closer with the same flavor profile. Next time I will get my wings tossed in this. The owner did mention that all the sauces were prepared fresh in house. I could tell. The ranch was really good with fresh herbs and the blue cheese was the best blue cheese I've tasted anywhere. We got 10 lemon pepper wings, 10 honey buffalo wings, and a side of the secret rub fries The employees were extremely kind, offered to answer any questions we had before ordering and even came outside to check in to see how everything was after we received our food. The flavor on the lemon pepper wings and dry rub/seasoning put on the fries were both amazing. I wasn't blown away by the honey buffalo wings but still very good nonetheless.
