I can always count on this place for great food. I love coming here. Everything is so good! My coworkers and I came here for lunch during the week. The staff if great. We were able to sit at a large table in the front and wait for everyone to arrive and look through the menu since some haven't been before. The girl who took our order was fantastic. She had great energy and helped answer questions about the menu. The restaurant has self serve fountain drinks and provides a counter with everything you may need. There is lots of tables inside and gives a cozy vibe. I ordered the 3 tenders with waffle fries. I had the chicken tossed in Sweet Gochujang sauce. THEY ARE PHENOMENAL. Chickfila, who?! Rudy was our server tonight. A++ service. I came in with hungry toddlers and not only was he able to customize a shrimp bowl to be flavorful but not spicy he also got it to the table in way under 5 minutes. My kids loved it. They also devoured the waffle fries. I loved the wings and the kimchi slaw that came with it was unique and delicious with a deep gochugang flavor. Very good fried chicken here! The batter is crunchy and the sauces are great- especially the lemon pepper. The tenders were also great, and very big! I got the beef bibimbap bowl which was solid as well. With the egg on it was $17 and pretty filling. We came with a group of 6 and the nice waitress gave us an order of donuts and whipped cream for free, which was awesome. I really like the bulgogi beef fries, but it's a little too salty for my pallette to eat all of it by myself. One order of ten wings and fries is good enough to share. I love the sweet gochujang sauce for my wings and the bulgogi fries (can get beef or chicken) are dressed with a delicious spicy mayo. The wait staff is nice but everyone seems like they are in a rush or impatient so that is what made me rate this location four stars. It won't deter me from visiting again, though. Additionally, I love all of the signage on the walls that have puns about chicken--very entertaining to read while you dine. We've ordered takeout from here a few times and it's always good, but on the recommendation of a friend we decided to dine in last Friday night. They actually have table service that was friendly and quick. I already knew the chicken was outstanding, their sauces are all really delicious, but it was even better onsite. Way too much food for the three of us, but we were happy to have leftovers for lunch the next day. This large space is conveniently located in the Mills 50 dining area. I've been to Chi-Kin twice now and it's been a great experience both times! As chicken is my go-to protein (I can basically live off of chicken fingers), I "flocked" at the chance to try a place seemingly devoted to my favorite meat. Parking can be challenging (especially those of us who tools driving tests in Florida where parallel parking isn't required), but I've found a spot both times I went. Chi-Kin has a great chicken mural on the side of the building that you can't miss. This is just the start of the cute and quirky chicken decor. Once inside, patrons are greeted and welcomed to seat themselves. Seating is table seating (wooden tables with red metal chairs) and there also seems to be the possibility of outdoor seating. The employees are knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients so feel free to ask (as I did) if you have any questions. Both times I went, I chose the 3 piece tenders combo (I chose the Sweet Soy as my sauce option both times). The first time I went, I had the fries (double fried and oh so good) and the second time, I opted for fried rice and upgraded to egg fried rice (equally oh so good). The tenders are huge and ...well, tender. Truly some of the best I've had. The first time I came here, I came with a friend who ordered the wings, she loved them as did my husband when I brought him home his own order of wings. Okay experience at Chi Kin today. Very odd walking in to see that there is a kiosk to order from but only for to go orders. They want you to sit down and order with someone for your meal if you eat there. We found this to be quite odd and a bit forced, since it's not a sit down type restaurant. It's a fast casual, quick service place. The extent of service was taking the order and dropping off the food. The drink station is open for self service. Also, there are just plastic utensils and paper cups which don't demand a sit down service ambiance. No salt or pepper shakers at the table, no real napkins, etc. I think it was just awkward between everyone and the server. We even saw these people leave without paying because they forgot they didn't order at the counter and pay first. It just feels very forced in order to get tips from people. If it's going to be sit down service, you need real silverware, real cups, efficient service etc. Now speaking on the food, it was good. Fries tasted old but the chicken was yummy. I had the hot sauce and added ranch to the chicken. I think for the chicken alone was worth it, but not much else. If you've had Domu you know these don't stand a chance. Very dark inside. Almost so dark that you can't see your food. Probably for the best to be honest. My food was still pretty warm when I got home which is about 20 mins away. The fries were a 10/10. The wings were a 8/10 without the sauce could use more seasoning but with sauce a 10/10, the sauce makes up for less seasoning . They were crispy, fried hard, and not too big (iykyk). I love Korean Fried Chicken (KFC) and ever since I found Chi-Kin it has been my go to for some good KFC and kimchi fries. Chi-kin's most popular item is the Korean Fried Chicken ( of course!) tenders or wings with several sauces to choose from. From no heat to extra spicy, it is your choice. My favorite thing about the chicken is that it is not overly covered in batter and it is also not a thick layer. I usually order the tenders and my favorite sauces are the gochujang ( mild spice) and sweet soy (not spicy). The best side to this are the kimchi fries... they are soooo good! They also have bowls which I have tried before but I felt it was too much rice for the tenders on top. I have not tried the sammies but they look good. I end up so full that I haven't had a chance to try dessert yet. There's ice cream tacos and D'oh Boy ( a type of donut). You can even order the sauces on the side if you don't want them tossed in with the chicken. I love that they have implemented a new ordering system. Now, you walk up to one of the tablets to order your food, pick a number, find a table and the food will be delivered right away. The decor is simple but I love all the cute chicken signs.
