I went here to check out the vinyl records and was very disappointed. One section maybe 10' long with 2 shelves of albums. As a record store I'd rate it one star but clearly they have lots of other things (that have no appeal to me) and I can't say how great they are with those items but the store is clean, organized and I saw people sitting down playing games and the staff appeared very engaged with customers so overall they clearly deserve a fair rating. To sum it up, find another record store but for other interests this appears to be a great place. read more

That's Entertainment had everything a needed and more! They have all sorts of board games, card games, video games, and comic books. Everything a gamer could want I traded In my old D&D books and was rewarded with either a nice sum of money or store credit. I took a little of both I couldn't ask for a nicer group of staff either. Love this store ... friendly staff, great selection, clean. Would get five stars but for the fact that the store opens at 11 a.m. on Wednesdays (when new comic books are released) and they NEVER have all of the new books on the shelf at opening time. Almost every week, the store's been open for an hour and half and they're STILL putting new books on the shelf. Very aggravating. Some of us don't have time to hang out all afternoon waiting for the new stuff. Go to the Worcester store when they open at 10 a.m. on Wednesdays and all new books are out and ready EVERY week. read more

This is a very nice store, The people are friendly and the layout is really good. I went here to check out the games that were advertised on their facebook page. Some prices are spot on and others are way overpriced. I've been collecting games for over 25 years now and although prices have risen in the last 10-15 years, People seem to follow eBay's price points which are usually wrong, this is the first place however I have seen prices about ebay prices on many items. Was kind of surprised to see a game their for 174 dollars which usually sells for exactly 100 in other retro stores / amazon / ebay, I know because I have been watching that particular game for over a year now online. Again they do have some great prices, just depends on what you are looking for, the more popular a game it seems they overprice the regular a game, you will most likely find more of a deal. They have tons of comics, A bit pricey on some of the back issues, but You can probably find what you are looking for. Didn't see a whole lot of action figures around which I see in many other stores. Anyhow, there is almost nothing in the western part of Mass for Comics and retro gaming so its not that bad I suppose, but many around the area dont really have anything to compare it to other than a gamestop, I am sure you can find a deal or two. read more

Having spent a couple years communiting back & forth from my house to Fitchburg State College, I made it a habit to stop in here at least once a week (often times more). See my review of the worcester store, and then shrink the storefront to about 20% of its size. Great place to stop by and find a few treasures. Like their Worcester shop, prices and selection are good, inventory rotates pretty regularly (so you're not looking at the same games every time you come in), and the staff (at both locations) are super-friendly. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth a visit. read more

No complaints from me! Basically a smaller version of their Worcester store. Toys, comics and vintage games are what to expect, and the prices are all fair for what they sell. I personally plan on checking the place out at least once every other month to see what their gaming inventory looks like. Recommended. read more

Great selection there, my only problem is with Gameboy games I bought the save batteries were dead so I had to go out and fix them myself.

This has been my local comic book store for years. It's a smaller location than the Worcester store (only reason I'm giving it 4 starts instead of 5 is because that location is bigger), but it fits what I need for my local comic shop. I usually pick up new releases only hear, but occasionally dabble in figures or trades. The staff here is great. Everyone is very friendly and none fit that grumpy/elitist comic book guy caricature at all. The same core group has been here forever, so I'm sure that helps. read more

Comics, gaming, and pop culture ephemera fill this Nerdtopia. Friendly, knowledgeable and acomidating staff. Can get a little stuffy and crowded on Friday night when the Magic the Gathering neckbeards roll in, but otherwise its a welcoming place for both those new to geek culture and the hardcore nerd. read more

This location has a good selection of current comics, back issues, trade paperbacks, toys, used DVDs, gaming and sports related merch, and other geek goodies. The prices are reasonable. I prefer their Worcester location, which is a larger space and has insane variety. read more

I travel far distances to seek different comic & gaming shops throughout New England. I've seen quite the spectrum when it comes to overall variety. It did have a broad selection of items to choose from. Although, prices were a little steep compared to other places that have me "coming back for more". Typical comic book guy behind the counter. I went in there this past Sunday to sell my large and diverse collection of video games, consoles, and accessories. I knew it was going to take some time because I know that they have a very high standard when it comes to buying and selling of used video games. The two gentlemen that worked there went above and beyond for me. Even offering me a refreshment when I realized I hadn't eaten yet. Not only were they professional and courteous but they took the time to make sure that I had an exceptional experience parting with my very favorite and prized collection. Those two gentlemen have won my patronage to that store for all of my geek-dom needs. Outstanding customer service and honestly, just plan awesome to do business with them. read more

They had great variety in what they offered, from comics to games to RPG materials, and decent amounts of all those things. Sometimes you'll find a store that has all comics, and a shelf of games, or all games with a smattering of comics. Not what you find here at all. The employees are extremely friendly and helpful, the prices are reasonable, and the merchandise awesome. I bought a controller here and didn't use it for a couple months. When I finally got around to using it, the controller was completely defective and didn't work at all. I called to inquire about the return policy, and found out they only accept "defective products within 30 days, with receipt." I bought the controller NEW from this store. Not only that, but the manager was condescending and rude on the phone. I will not be returning to this store, as they don't guarantee their products work, and won't accept them back if they don't. read more

Called about my PS3 the other and they said yeah we'll take it. Went to go to the store today and all of sudden they made an excuse and said they weren't interested. If you are trying to sell your consoles or anything else, find another store to sell your items. Inconvenient af. read more

Absolutely Terrible , I went in on a Saturday and to trade in they gave me a price. I wasn't sure on if I wanted to let them go decided I did went back the next day and they said they weren't going to give me anything because there other employees never checked the stores stock or some along those . Keep in mind it's a half hour away from me . Between 2 trips and 3 hours of store waiting they have now lost my business and I would not recommend them to anyone dealing. I went into That's Entertainment not expecting to necessarily find what I was looking for, however I was quite impressed with their selection of consoles. I swiftly asked one of the three behind the counter if they had any PlayStation 2s for sale, they did and he directed me down to the display. The price was sixty dollars with all the cables and a controller included, plus a 30 day warranty. Not a bad deal at all! Whilist the memory card was not included in the package, that is understandable, since it is not required to use the system like the other essentials that were provided. I also picked up a copy of Kessen 3 for 7 dollars which I felt was quite reasonable, while I Was there. However when I got home, to my dismay I found out that I was given the wrong ac cable for my system. The particular cable I got bundled by mistake was for the slim PlayStation 2 model and I had bought a regular PlayStation 2 model. The AC cable was not compatible and I had to go back to the store the next day. I went in and explained my problem and I was quite pleased with how professional they were in taking care of my problem! I traded in the old cable with no hassle and got the correct one exchanged. I then asked if they had any memory cards for sale and they did. Too my surprise they offered to compensate me with a free memory card, for my troubles! This is how customer service should be dealt with! Would definitely return again and would recommend. read more

the people who work hear are great and very helpful. they have a great selection of comics, games and toys. on some nights they have events like magic, war-hammer 40k and hero clicks. both the fitchburg store and the Worcester store are great. so if you like comics, games, toys and people stop into any one of there two stores and say hi to the wonderful people who work there. read more

Smaller version of the Worcester store, but still a great selection. I'm a super casual comic reader, so I often miss issues. Have had no problem with the occasional back-order or special order here. Clerks are friendly and helpful. read more
