Poor customer service and even worse selection of Pokémon cards/products. I'd stay away, there are much better card shops in the area.

I love stores like The Relentless Dragon! Great for those into Dungeons and Dragons and really into the hobby as they had tons of miniatures and things you could customize. Very good selection of fun stuff like stuffed animals (hello a tuxedo wearing Mario!) and board games. Very big store so many aisles to roam around and an area in the back for Magic the Gathering tournaments. If you're looking for special playing cards, figures to customize or cool dice then this is the place to stop! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff too. read more

So my experience wasn't quite as bad as Kevin G's from 11/16, but I had another profoundly negative interaction with the owner of the store, who, ultimately, would not sell me the product I could see sitting on the floor behind the counter! When I asked for the product, the associate seemed unsure and said he needed to ask his boss. Not even waiting for him to finish approaching, she yelled back, "I thought we already said 'No' to that" in a tone that was disparaging and dismissive of her employee, who was only trying to help a customer make a purchase. Their on-line store has a satisfaction guarantee, but this apparently does not apply to in-store purchases. read more

I was kind of apprehensive at visiting this place because it only has 1 review somehow, but as it was down the street from where we had dinner, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to visit a hobby shop. I wasn't disappointed :) They had a great selection of board games here, as well as table top RPG books - I was specifically looking for Pathfinder stuff, which they did have. Along with merchandise, they had (i think) 8? long tables for board games, playing TCGs, or what have you. It was also one of the bigger hobby shops (space wise) that I've visited, and that was nice. Ok. One of the better game stores I have seen in New England. Great selection and plentiful gaming tables. Prices were standard list prices, so that fair. I was stopping by while traveling and found several Reaper miniatures in stock that I had planned on ordering online - at the same or better prices than online without the shipping. There Wiz Kids miniatures selection seems sizable but many were out of stock - which may not be their fault - (this company is know for running out at the wholesale level.). They had seemed to be well organized binders of cards for collectible trading card games (not my thing but standard faire for most at these joints). I saw a good selection for X-wing. The displayed on of the better selection of paints and materials for war gaming minis and terrain building. A good shop. read more

I won't lie, I thought that this was going to be a Chinese food restaurant when I drove by, and since I frequent some of the other local establishments on the street, I figured I'd swing by. I found that they were a place that specialized in trading card games, not only in selling bulk cards (think boxes of Pokemon cards, Magic the Gathering cards, and Yu-Gi-Oh cards I believe, and probably more) but they also have many tables and a side room where people battle or play the games (regular D&D groups meet there). Relentless Dragon hosts tournaments of the games as well, and they appear to be a community hub for these type of activities. They sell dice blocks, card packs and other accouterments as well as other board games. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Their card inventory also gets updated frequently as they often buy cards as well. read more

While waiting for my son to select and purchase some Pokémon cards, I sat down in a chair 10 feet away him (I have low back issues and I have to get off my feet periodically). Minding my own business, I am startled by a woman who snuck up behind me and screamed at the top of her lungs, "GET THE HELL OUT OF MY CHAIR. CAN'T YOU SEE I WAS SITTING THERE?! MY COMPUTER IS THERE!!!" I was speechless, and trying to figure out who this woman was and why she would have a fit like this. I asked her if she works here, and she sarcastically yelled YES!!! I replied, "Is that how you talk to a customer?" She replied, "GET OUT OF MY ******* CHAIR!!!" So I did. As I'm walking away, I asked her if she was the manager, and she replied, "I'M THE OWNER AND GET OUT OF MY STORE!!!" You can decide for yourself if that's the way a customer should be treated. I was not doing anything except waiting for my son (for three minutes). I will NEVER go back to this store. My family and I have spent lots of money here over the last 2+ years and have never been treated like this in any other store. Maybe she was having a bad day, but being a business owner myself, I would never treat a customer that way. There is no excuse for her behavior! read more

The store is always clean, well stocked with friendly and helpful staff. It's my local game store of choice and I will continue visiting and buying all of my RPG games and supplies from them. Keep up the good work! read more

I stopped in looking for a present and the staff was super helpful! Just a little pricey, which I found out after my purchase.

They had an excellent selection of dice and even had some out of print sets. The staff were friendly too :)

I live in California, and have never been to the store. But this past week I placed an order for several Magic: The Gathering cards from their store via the TCGPlayer website. I had ordered cards through a few other hobby shops at the same time, and my experience with Relentless Dragon was by far the best. Right after I placed my order they sent me a message thanking me for the order I had placed and saying if I had any problems, I could talk to them. My package arrived today (in about 3 days compared to the 6-8 days that the other stores were taking) and the cards were in excellent condition, individually sleeved and placed into a large toploader that could easily fit them all and did not force the cards together. The toploader was then secured in a plastic wrapping that ensured that there would be no damage to the cards from the rain while being transported cross-country. The steps that this store took to make sure that my cards would arrive in optimal condition is incredible, and shows how they care for the game of Magic. The Relentless Dragon had the best packaging, and were on top of my order, making sure that it was delivered in a timely fashion with the cards in their best condition. I have never made a Yelp review before but I felt I needed to after the great service that was shown to me by Jay Ribak and The Relentless Dragon. read more
