The ranch dressing they make in-house tasted like someone had dumped a cup of salt into it. The ranch was so overwhelmingly salty that it completely ruined the salad. Then the mashed potatoes and gravy had a horrible aftertaste as well. At that point, I honestly started wondering if there was an issue in the kitchen or if everything was simply being over-seasoned. I brought my concerns to the manager, Page, expecting that she would at least listen and try to understand what I was experiencing. Instead, her response was simply, "I don't taste salt." Wow. What a shame. I explained my concerns, and rather than asking which food items I was referring to, what I was tasting, or even trying to understand the problem, she walked away without saying anything. Approximately 20 minutes later, she came back and repeated, "I don't taste salt." That was incredibly disappointing. I wasn't asking her to agree with me--I was hoping she would actually listen to a customer's concern and make an effort to address it. Instead, I felt completely dismissed. It is a real shame because I have been a longtime customer and have always enjoyed coming here. Unfortunately, today's experience, both with the food and especially with the way my concerns were handled by management, has completely changed my opinion.
