Decent breakfast spot before a late morning of pheasant hunting. Was crowded but quickly got a table for 4 guys. Service was decent, no complaints. Food was good, it's not 5-star gourmet, but if you're looking for a stack of pancakes or some biscuits and gravy then this place will do the trick. read more

Ok, I'm giving 2 stars to be nice. Its obvious the food is frozen food heated up. Frozen green beans, instant mashed potatoes and I gave no idea what the meatloaf was but definitely not meatloaf. The burger just dripped oil and the fries tasted like they were frozen and not fully heated. The nice things were the gentlemen who took our payment and the guy who said hello to everyone as they walked in. They do offer military discount though. read more

Fast service, I called beforehand to ask a question and someone answered before the first ring even ended. Ordered the Reuben sandwich in person to take out, got it in about 7 minutes, a little too fast I thought. The waiting lobby felt old and not inviting. The sandwich was delicious, I loved the mushiness of the bite and the flavor overall but, the tangy crout didn't feel too fresh, and the french fries I got with it were unseasoned. Well I have moved to Aberdeen for my nomadic work lifestyle and this was the first place I had some brunch at while still staying at the hotel down the street. It was very crowded on Sunday but I think most places are, I got a seat right away since I sat at the stool by the cash register. My food order seemed to got forgotten about and I was waiting there about an extra 20 mins than another woman that ordered at the same time as me. The food was alright, part of my meal had biscuits and gravy, the biscuits were kind of raw. I went back two other times and both times the food was alright, but it was cheap and the service was pretty good so I would go back again if I wasnt in the mood for anything in particular and didnt want to spend more than 10 bucks for my meal. read more

Our family had two really bad experiences at The Millstone recently. The bacon is deep fried (in old grease), and appeared on our plates still flabby and uncooked. The food came fairly quickly, but it wasn't even hot. Eggs were lukewarm. Toast was slapped with grill grease (not butter or even margarine). My daughter's pasta Alfredo was cold, as was the garlic bread on the side. The veggies were just tired and limp. Even the service was bad, and that part was heartbreaking, because we've had great service here in the past. We left feeling almost scammed (and a little angry), because the cost was much higher than the satisfaction we felt. We're not going back. read more

I had never been to Aberdeen before, so I took a stab at this place. I ordered the steak, medium rare. Thought I don't normally leave negative reviews, the steak came very tough and medium-cooked. The salad bar was small, but the sides were quite tasty! Especially the bread pudding. The tomato soup was really enjoyable! Overall, the food was satisfactory, as was the service. Honestly, could have been better. The good part is the place: very clean, friendly staff, nice atmosphere. Price seemed a bit high, but I suppose normal for this area. It's the food that I found to be a tad....lacking. I judge a place by getting the same thing everywhere: Pancakes, eggs and bacon, as no one should be able to mess that up. Pancakes just weren't that great and it seemed like two bites of eggs and they were gone, bacon was good. I think my wife and I would be more likely to find ourselves at Perkins or Marlins for breakfast considering Sammy's is closed on Sundays. read more

This place was mentioned when I did my usual task of asking the 'townees' where a good place to eat is. Before they answered, I gave them my input on how previous customers mention restaurants that you could find in California; ie. Outback. They told me that the food and service is family-like. So, I agreed and drove down 6th Avenue. There's plenty of parking...mainly park anyway possible. No parking lot lines. lol. From what it seemed, the manager was acting as the host, so he was moving all over the place. Throughout my whole stay there, there was verbal conflict between the servers. Not that I was eavesdropping, but it's just what I noticed and heard. Maybe it was just the area that I was sitting. Let's move on...shall we. I ordered the Davey Jones w/ House Salad (Bleu Cheese) This sandwich consists of a fish filet, slice of American cheese, and tartar sauce on the side. Let's say I wasn't pleased. First off, I didn't want the tartar sauce in the sandwich, so the taste of the sandwich wasn't very pleasing. The cheese was plain and the bun was 1/4 size of the filet...ok, maybe 1/2 the size. Displeasing. The salad was ok, so I'll leave salad with the bunny eaters. You're probably wondering why they deserve a star. STRAWBERRY MILKSHAKE yummm. It was fresh, clumpy, and oh so delicious. Another star killer was the fact that my whole meal received no mentioning of how my food was, did I need anything...it was like I was put in the corner for a reason...but wait, the server treated everyone the same. I go to the Millstone at least twice a week. They have great customer service and the food is usually real good. If the food is cold or not quite right it might be because of a new cook being trained or any number of things. Pretty hard to have continuous perfection but they do a great job trying. read more

This is a quiet family restaurant that I ordered a Denver Omelet. We had been on the road for hours. Traveling for a family sad event. The hour was late. No fault of there own we came in grumpy, tired, and hungry. The portions were generous. The food tasty. We had a question on the bill. Candace, I believe the manager, was one of the few people who truly understand customer service anymore. She handled everything without missing other matters calling for her attention. OK so I'm a travel nurse. Spend 2 to 3 months in different cities around the US I depend on yelp for my dinner options and read the reviews. This place had not so great reviews but I reluctantly tried it. The food was good but the service has won me over! Friday night so the place was busy but the servers and other staff were all friendly and inviting! They all had genuine smiles, not the smile that said oh there's a customer I have to smile, but real genuine smiles. The whole time! I'll be a regular here the next few months. Great little place to eat in Aberdeen! The steak was as tender as advertised. The salad and soup bar is unlimited and comes with it. Not an expansive salad bar, but it was good nonetheless. The service was friendly and fast and the prices reasonable. But the floors are filthy (grimy carpet) and parts of the building are in disrepair. We could see laminate wallboard peeling off the wall. I had a chef salad with blue cheese dressing. The dressing was thin and tasted only vaguely of blue cheese. Otherwise it was basic and filling. My wife had a grilled chicken sandwich. We went to the Milestone because my wife likes the breakfast skillet I ordered a Reubens Sandwich with hash browns. The waitress was nice and helpful. The food came promptly and my Grandsons chicken strip and french fries were cooked. My wife enjoyed her meal, which was the reason we came. My Reuben was small. Even the bread was small even the container holding my Thousand Island dressing was small and my portion of hash browns was burnt and smaller then a women's palm. It also kind of smelled like fish, I'm not sure it could have been what little sauerkraut was on my sandwich but I don't think so. Three stars because there breakfast is ok, and cheap. The service is friendly but there is no soul in the food it's like a school cafeteria. read more
