They sold me a fake Labubu after I spoke directly to them and verified that I would not be getting a fake one. I paid $40 to be extremely disappointed and frustrated that they lied straight to my face as they were checking me out and letting me know all sales were final. Not to be trusted. read more

The Abode is one of the cutest stores I've been in! It's located in downtown San Clemente in an old, historic house. You discover the unique store and the merchandise bit by bit. Every room of the house it's an adventure you step in. They preserve the decor of the kitchen and they have items on sale that you can use in a kitchen! The merchandise is beautiful, one of a kind, reasonably priced - from home decor (cool coasters, pots and pans, Mexican pottery), clothes, jewelry (and nice boxes for it), great plants and landscaping ideas, soaps (inside their cool bathrooms), San Clemente oriented souvenirs, this cool store has its all! Customer service is nice, you're left alone to explore, pick and choose. It's fun to do so, you can find wonderful gifts here, decor for your house, ideas to improve and refresh your space! I could spend days in this place, it's a charming, one of a kind boutique! Each room has a story to tell, wonderful merchandise displayed with lots of creativity, full of inspiration and tales to reveal. read more

Visited on September 29 with a couple of my girlfriends. The gentleman that assisted us was beyond helpful (Great customer service). I was wearing a crown that was gifted to me by my friend and truly felt like a queen while in this beautiful establishment. This is my favorite store in downtown San Clemente. I love that it is family owned ! The owner is very friendly and takes the time to get to know you . Charming old house repurposed as a shop. Variety of new items mixed in with a few antique items.

The building alone is worth a visit! I love this traditional San Clemente cottage and its backyard and every room are overflowing with home decor, original paintings and souvenirs/knickknacks. The prices are very reasonable and it's nice to buy something that's more unique than a retailer (pottery barn, world market, pier 1, etc). Love the outdoor stuff in the yard and the books in the fireplace! read more

Such a great little store! I was pleasantly surprised. It looked small when I first walked in, but realized how much bigger it actually is than I initially thought! They have such a cool collection of items, so many unique finds. The employee I dealt with was extremely friendly, and their prices were extremely reasonable. I only wish I lived closer, seeing as they offer classes! Both my husband and I were impressed with this store, and we left with a few great finds. So glad we stopped in here! read more

I've been going here since it opened and I would highly recommend. Jill's painting classes are great - she is one of the top stockists for Annie Sloan chalk paint so she always has a great selection and is super helpful in giving you tips as she is truly an artist. Her store has several vendors and they must be carefully chosen - because I never leave there without a purchase from at least 2 -3 different artists. 1st place I go to when I need a special/unique gift. It's housed in a vintage spanish style bungalow - which adds to the charm of the place along with it's location on the quaint Del Mar in San Clemente you can explore the other shops and have a great lunch just steps away. read more

Wow...jills spot is amazing...she has such a classic talent for creating masterpieces out of beach style furniture...most of our beach house is her stuff. She might have well invented chalk painting with how well she does it. She also has lessons available to teach you how to put the extra in ordinary for that unique extraordinary piece. read more

Not sure why this is listed as "Venues & Event Spaces," cuz it's a very cool distressed furniture, home decorating space in an old house next to the library. They just opened, prices are more than reasonable, and there are a lot of really nice things available. I could have bought more than I did, and will be going back for sure, as we have our eye on a table to put next to the wine cooler. read more

I come to San Clemente to visit family, and every time I come, I have to go to Jill's Abode. This is the loveliest shop on beautiful Del Mar Ave! The have such gorgeous things...it inspires me to decorate beautifully! I bought a chair, and succulent planter recently. I love coming here. Now this is the kindda small store with a honest shopkeeper which is rare to find especially when they are dealing with premium products. I reached here when it was almost closing, Jill & Katy patiently guided me through how to use Annie Sloan Products , saved me a few bucks by sharing many ideas on using the product effectively and avoiding unnecessary purchase.The interaction was so informative that it cleared much of the myths I had picked up from the online blogs. You want to paint furniture or just buy some good antique furniture for great value...this cute boutique is a must visit. read more

Can't say enough great things about this store and staff ! Mom and I took a chalk-painting class with owner/ teacher Jill and had such a fun and productive time. Painted two old colonial style chairs to coordinate now with my beach themed condo -they turned out gorgeous! Jill was so personable and we learned so much . Chalk paint is an incredible new paint medium for furniture makeovers -no prep/ no long dry times and beautiful results and oh so easy. I plan to buy more paint for future makeovers at Jill's Abode as now "have skills" to do it myself . They also have a wonderful , unique gift/ furniture store with great finds on special pieces for your home -also provides lots of great ideas for future projects. Support our local small business people -Jill works so hard to make this a quaint and fun place to shop -Check it out / Take a Class/ Shop for unique decorating items -a real gem in the heart of downtown San Clemente.
