He explained to a friend, hosting an event at the Arts Factory that parking at the JCSU was entirely open/free for overflow, which the host passed along to the attendees. We have emails and screenshots of this. After their lot was full and cars were parked at the JCSU, at least two cars were towed for a total cost of $600. Talking with him after, the individual running the Arts Factory was on our side and provided the property management company to argue this case with. Once they wouldn't help, he decided it was not longer their fault but ours for listening to his instructions, washing his hands of this problem.

There are private study rooms on the 5th floor big enough for a small group. There is a secret private room at the end of the hall on the left on 7 if i remember correctly. If there is a catering event, talk to the catering staff and be there when its over. They throw all the food away, so grab a plate and get some late night dinner. There is s decent lounge on the 2nd floor with nice chairs to really lounge in. All the TVs in each lounge have basic cable. The third floor has a few chairs that when pulled together make for a pretty good napping spot. You can use your uncc login to turn on the auditorium computers to watch dvds in style. *the one on the right is best bc it has no windows but don't watch a three hour movie, the chairs are not butt friendly in either one. The scanner in the library can be used by anyone even though it says otherwise. There are locker rooms with showers in the basement. There is free parking on the street a block away, just make sure there isn't anything going on that night at the arena. 7th street station has the best lunch. Jimmie Johns is wicked fast! There is a microwave in the lounge on 6 I think. If not there, its in one of the lounges. Theres a fridge and 2 microwaves in the staff lounge and the door is unlocked all day until six or so. Then it locks. Its up to you if you have the brass to go in there. I never cared. Thats about it. Im sure theres more, but for now thats all I can think of.

A photography gallery in Uptown, right next to the 7th Street LYNX Station. When I arrived, the…read moreplace was quite desolate. The security guard had me wait in the lobby while he went in to the gallery to turn the lights on. I got the impression that there wasn't a whole lot going on here. It's a good thing that it's free, because 30 minutes of looking at pictures wouldn't have been worth much. And even at 30 minutes, I was still moving pretty slow. When I visited, the exhibit was "Streetwise", a collection of pictures of America's troubled 60's. Capturing images of not just our troubled times, including Boston's "Combat Zone" and close-ups of the Black Panthers, there were also shots of just regular people and places. All in black and white, which gave it a feel of being very like a documentary. Pictures of the pictures are not permitted, but I took that as meaning not taking a picture of the individual pictures. Instead, my wide shot of the gallery doesn't give away the detail but helps you see what you're going to see there. I might come back for the next exhibit, but I think this is a "See it once" kind of thing.

I even wanted to show support for the gallery by purchasing the supplies from the instructor and she refused to sell me supplies and was just awful. I don't think I've ever given my money to a human being that treated me worse. If I could stand at the door now in 2020 I would to tell people what happened. 2 years later this still leaves a nasty taste in my mouth.

I'm a single mother, business owner, and maintained a 3.85 GPA, yet administrative errors delayed my graduation. I was never warned I was nearing my SAP limit. When I appealed, I was initially told I wasn't approved, only to be informed after classes started that it was an administrative error and my appeal had actually been approved. That delay pushed my graduation back, exhausted my approved semesters, and now I'm paying out of pocket for my final class. I worked hard to earn my degree. I just wish CPCC had shown the same commitment to its students that many of us showed to our education.

Next, we were taken on a tour of the university, led by an actual student. We were able to see lecture halls and classrooms. We even got to sample food from one of the kitchens. Our last stop was the dorms, which were surprisingly roomy. They have 4 people to a suite and two bedrooms with two beds each, plus a desk, dresser, and mini fridge. The suites also have a bathroom with shower, toilet, and sink in them. This is a great university option and the tour really gives you a real-life view of the day-to-day experience.

They navigated the room of about 20 ladies perfectly. Gleam is a perfect girls night out or just come solo because believe me you will meet a new face and connect over your love of flowers. I did!!!
