I have stayed at the Adelphi 4 times within the past 2 years. The location is spectacular. Step out the front hotel doors and Everything is right there on Broadway. The hotel went under a major transformation. The hotel provides residences on one part, along with a spa, hair salon, recreation area, gym and onsite casual & high end steak house on-site. I have stayed in the older remodeled and the newer contemporary side of the hotel. Both are equally nice, yet the vibe is completely different. Old world charm in the middle of the action, or sleek and chic and off the beaten path... The service is that of a 5 star hotel. Housekeeping in the late morning-afternoon and evening turndown service everyday. They also bring you a treat of local chocolates and two bottles of water with each visit. The hotel is vibrant and full of energy due to the restaurant bar located in the lobby/front of the hotel. Exceptional stay and the staff is just as amazing! read more

Adelphi is located right on Broadway, which was convenient for exploring downtown Saratoga Springs. There were many shops, bars, and restaurants nearby. The room was clean, spacious, and beautiful. The bathroom had a large walk-in shower, a bidet, a heated toilet seat and a heated towel rack. There were also complimentary local snacks in the room. The staff were welcoming and accommodating. Excellent hotel, the rooms are very clean and high quality and service is consistently top notch. My one complaint: Their 15Mbps internet speed in 2025 is not a comfortable experience. Come on, even tethering my phone outside is 10x faster than that. I keep waiting 5 extra seconds every time I click on anything online so that Adelphi can save two bucks on my entire stay? It's shocking that a beautiful 4 star hotel doesn't train their staff or Managment properly. I was out walking and came across the poorly educated manager arguing with a man recording on the public sidewalk. It's common knowledge that the hotel does NOT own the sidewalk even though he was claiming they own it. It's also common knowledge and 100% legal to film in any public place. The fact that the manager is unaware of this and acts aggressively towards the public is disturbing. It's also insulting to tax payers that he called the police and wasted valuable police time for a false emergency. His iq is clearly in the double digits and he's way too old to be that uneducated while in that line of business. Would you trust eating or staying at a hotel with such poorly trained staff? read more

Christmas dinner in the Conservatory at Adelphi Hotel was horrible! The room was barely decorated for Christmas, service was sub standard and for $105.00 per person the food was poor. We loved staying at this hotel. The rooms are beautiful, it's close to all the shops, cafes, bars, and convenient stores. Staff are friendly and very helpful. They were very generous to offer my boyfriend a free botte of proseco with the surprise bouquet of flowers he ordered for me in our room. They have given us many complimentary items on top of that. When we were at the train we called the hotel and asked if there is Uber we can take from the train stop to the hotel. We were advised the Uber cars in the area are unreliable. So the person on the phone offered to get us a taxi service which was very helpful. The fridge in our room wasn't cold enough so we asked if there was anything that can be done to adjust the temp. They said it was not possible to make it any cooler so they offered us a mini fridge in our room instead which was awesome! Overall, we had a pleasant experience and enjoyed our stay. Great hotel & great experience inside- valet is a whole different issue. Let me preface this- yesterday my fiancé had my car was hand detailed by hoffman's (for my birthday) and looked brand new. Last night we arrived and I recorded the miles and left the car with the valet in front of the adelphi. This morning, when the l car was brought back, it had 14 extra miles on it, tar on the driver side door in two places, as well as the bumper and chipped paint on the front fender. I calmly went inside and told the manager. She responded "we have excellent valets" and then took no responsibility for the chipped paint or extra miles, but had the valet scrub the tar off (got most but not all). Then walked away with no offer or goodbye. Side note, the valet said the car would be ready in 15 mins. My fiancé and i came down- sat outside and waited over 30 for the car to arrive. As I said, the hotel was great, staff were terrific but the valet was subpar and if I had known they would have not respected, my almost brand new car, nor take responsibility for the extra miles and different condition- I would have never used them. And shame on the manager for not taking responsibility nor offering any compensation. read more

Our second stay at The Adelphi was at least as good as the first. We stayed in a Broadway Suite with a comfortable king bed and modern remote controls for shades, blinds, and lights. Complementary mini-bar and lovely well-appointed room furnishings made it hard to decide on a cocktail in the room or down in the bar. In-room coffee (Nespresso pods) could have been better: only had a limited provided variety of coffees. We had dinner at the bar and room service breakfast, both were delicious, plentiful and well-presented. Service overall was excellent, as expected. If you travel to Saratoga Springs you must give The Adelphi a try for a luxurious stay. You won't be sorry. read more

I really used to love this hotel. But my most recent experience was terrible and management didn't seem to care. I booked a room with a 5-piece bathroom and was instead shown to one that only had a shower. Somehow they called this an upgrade. When I called the front desk to ask for the room I booked and paid for they showed me a couple other options, none of which matched the room I paid for. But I settled for one of them only to discover the bath drain didn't work. To add insult to injury they began loudly moving around the bar furniture at 5am, which is a crazy way to torture your hotel guests. When I complained the next morning they insulted me with a $75 credit. The room was nearly $500 bucks and I simply didn't get what I paid for. A terrible way to treat your guests. read more

Beautiful hotel in the sweet town of Saratoga..the front desk helped with wonderful dinner recommendations and gave us some places to visit..the doorman was so nice and professional..the hotel is clean and quiet (live music was playing and as soon as we shut our door it stopped) very soundproof which was a huge plus! She was absolutely fabulous in assisting with room selections and providing resturant recommendation. She even went ahead and made a reservation for their attached steak house. It was a fantastic room and a great place to celebrate my sons 18th birthday. I am a customer service professional so I was very impressed with the valet and resturant manager. Stayed for two nights in the Premiere king room. Very comfortable bed, huge bathroom with walk in shower with 3 shower heads, heated towels, heated tile floor, heated toilet seat too! cleanliness an issue- even after 3 trips to desk and 2x housekeeping This is another hotel with indecipherable light switches, AC that will not just "turn off" and multiple unmarked shower controls- the toto seat makes to remind of that 1st trip to Japan. Here's the rub- on entering the room I could smell fish...the auto opening drapes show a restaurant vent, so that must be it. After a bit I went to bathroom and realized there was pet food ( cat?) scattered on the floor and I could see that it had been tracked across the tiles/grout and grained composite flooring. I let the desk know and we had a laff- I went out for an hour. On return it had be "cleaned". That night I could smell fish and then could see residue on the tiles, maybe oily stains. Day 2 I asked housekeeping to "mop the floor", and repeated this at the desk. on my return - after a long day of work- the residue and odours were there Really, I'd expect a mgr to make sure it's done right. My comment is only with the banquet/wedding service. H'orderves were fantastic with servers and bartender very attentive. Food for the dinner was excellent - but - what was the hurry? Bread/butter plate taken away while diner had roll up at her mouth. She asked for replacement butter and it was delivered in a huge amount, quite some time later. She only wanted the 1 pat that was taken from her. I had my bread/butter plate, with buttered roll, taken away when I wasn't looking. Almost had my dinner plate removed (food half eaten) but was lucky to grab it in time, Servers were delightful, but what was the rush???? They were only doing as directed. read more

The Adelphi Hotel is a home away from home for me. The staff are always kind and welcoming. Even though I do not speak so much, and I tend to have rather calm nights, though at times late, I felt like a family to be there. The room is the best hotel room. The lighting has different modes to change the feel from normal to cozy. The bed is the most comfortable bed ever and the pillows, blankets, sheets are amazing. It feels like sleeping on clouds. The rooms have state of the art coffee makers from Nespresso. Electronic curtains and shades, that also have automated features. The room also has complimentary snacks and beverages in the mini-fridge. There are also hotel robes and slippers that are equally probably the best. Some of the floors of the bathrooms feel heated at least the tiled parts but I couldn't tell if that was just me or actually heated tiled floors. The towels are on a rack that has a heating function. The location is as central as it gets for this small but bustling city. It is located in heart of the town and there are many cultural centers, parks, fitness centers, delis, restaurants, boutiques, residences, crafts stores, bars, conference centers, by the hotel. Despite it being so busy outside, the design of the building was made in such a way that you feel just as close to the town if you wish and you can also find solace and solitude in the hotel. The architecture of the facade is iconic for the style of architecture in Saratoga Springs, New York. It is grand and has thin columnal posts that form thin arches. The building is roughly 4 stories. The lobby is warm and welcoming. There is a classic bar inside, Morissey's and there is a formal dine-in restaurant in back, The Blue Hen. The Blue Hen is notable for its glass ceiling. It has fancy foods whereas Morissey's you could get more casual eats or even sushi. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. This is for a recent experience I had with renting an igloo for a friend's birthday party, and a dining experience about a month ago. The dining experience was OK at best, a very long wait for food and our table, which we had a reservation for. I don't mind paying a premium for good food and service, but I can say the Adelphi falls flat on both for the price point. Now on to the igloo experience, and specifically Patrick, the manager. This man does not deserve to work in hospitality. We had booked the igloo over a month in advance for a birthday party. Patrick called the day of to try to move our reservation from the igloo to another location in the hotel or change the time. We stressed we had this planned for awhile and we were committed to the time and the igloo. I arrived early, at 7:15, for our 7:30 reservation. I was told that I could not be brought to the igloo because my entire party wasn't there yet, even though the igloo was "available". My friends arrived at 7:30 and we had to wait until nearly 8pm. Clearly frustrated, we asked if they could comp us some drinks or the igloo fee. Patrick relied extremely unprofessionally; he raised his voice, and spoke to us very disrespectfully. He told us "people who ask for things, don't get anything" and he was unwilling to make up for the wait at all. He also lied and said that I chose to wait for my friends in the lobby vs. in the igloo, which is not true. Nearly $500 later for very little food and an overall disappointing experience, I can't say I would recommend the Adelphi, their food, service or igloo to anyone. Whomever is Patrick's manager needs to have a serious conversation with this man about customer service and how to conduct himself in the hospitality world. read more

Went here for an event with 75 people. The risotto bar is incredible. The cash bar had Prosecco though some of the bartenders forgot to mention it. The cheese plate was very well stocked, though the crackers were not up to one of the semi hard cheeses. The space is open with some seating and was also open to the back patio. read more

My fiancé surprised me with a night here to celebrate our engagement and we cannot say enough positive things about our stay. The staff was incredible, warm, and welcoming and the hotel itself was immaculate. A truly excellent experience overall. Outstanding, attentive and personal customer service. We stayed in king suite 207 and had a lovely stay. The excellent customer service starts before your visit with a check in email asking about dietary needs, special requests and estimated time of arrival. They granted our request for a noon check out to help us extend the celebration of our baby moon. We valeted our car upon arrival and were greeted by the most friendly gentleman who asked us where we were from and gave us a few tips for our stay. We continued on to the front desk which was staffed by two friendly attendants who made the process seamless and enjoyable. Upon entering our room we were really stunned at how beautiful it was and how high end the amenities felt. A few Pros worth noting: Everything in the room is heated. Heated bathroom floors, heated toilet seat, heated towel racks. Considering we stayed here in late January those features were truly valued. Salt and Char- although deserving of their own review we had an excellent dinner there and it's worth mentioning here as it's under the same ownership. Lovely decor. Entertaining live music in the evening. Exception turn down service with lovely treats. A special locals rate for folks who live 50 miles from the hotel (We saved $50 on our nights stay) Cons: Truly only small cons- but we few worth mentioning. the remote for our tv was glitchy. And the tv turned itself on twice in the middle of the night. The room ended up being too warm for us but 65 is the lowest you can set the temp. Room service breakfast didn't live up to the rest of the food. My eggs were cooked over hard when I ordered over medium. Not a deal breaker but for $18 eggs they should nail it every time. We would recommend friends come and stay and we hope to return soon ourselves. read more

I visited for the first time 2/13/21. I was told it was $25.00 per person for the igloo. I was told there was a Valentine's day menu we could order from or the sushi menu. When we were walked in the hoste told us to be careful with the zipper as the igloo was very expensive. I found the comment very tasteless. The waitress took our drink orders and then stated that we could not pick from the valentine menu as our time slot was from 2:15-4:15. That made no sense to us because it was not what we were told when we made the reservations. My husband went to speak to the manager to find out what the issue was. Patrick who was very condescending and rude was zero help. Long story short $260.00 later, (3 roast beef sandwiches later, 3 drinks, and a california roll we walked ourselves out. I would not recommend this place to anyone who does not want to deal with rude people and over prices salty sandwiches. BTW the drinks were disgusting (the white russian taste like milk). read more

A reservation was made for my Son's Wedding Night. The cost of the Suite was $950. Because of Covid, his wedding was cancelled. The booking was for September 19th. We attempted to cancel with the Hotel, July 15th. My credit card was charged, IN FULL, at the time of booking. We were informed that NO REFUNDS were being issued until SEPTEMBER! During these troubling times, this response is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE! Elegant but not officious or effusive. Beds are new and very comfortable. Loved the staff, rooms and bar. Blue Hen needs someone to oversee the plates as they go out as the bacon can be overcooked and the food not hot enough. The wine and delicious cheese social at 5 on the second floor library and deck is wonderful but not sufficiently advertised. First round of a terrific assortment of drinks and sodas in the minibar is free! Loved my sparkling wine after a hot day racing around town! Adelphi definitely needed renovation - the roof was a mess, the floors were sagging, and it needed a lot of $ in overhaul. They definitely put a LOT of $ in the renovation, and the result is a very nice hotel. But, the downside is that it is more of a trendy boutique style hotel now, and it no longer feels like a Victorian era part of Saratoga history. I used to love having gin and tonics in the garden, and relaxing in the lobby on antique furniture. Everything old, except the façade, is gone. The literally gutted the entire building and retained only the façade. The new bar (Morrisey's) is nice, but there are a lot of nice bars in Saratoga. The new restaurant (Blue Hen) is nice also, but with a limited and overpriced menu. There was no way to preserve all of the good parts of the old Adelphi, and I understand they needed to fix the (many) problems with the old building. But I wish they had preserved more of the Victorian era charm - especially the old gardens and the lobby. Overall, I definitely recommend staying here, or at least visiting the bar and restaurant. But it is not the Adelphi anymore. read more

My family was in town on a whim for the weekend and decided to go the Blue Hen for breakfast before we left town the next day. We weren't in a hurry but we expected a quick experience because it was empty at 8 am. We ordered our coffee and cappuccino. Took 10-15' to arrive. Ordered food. This came 20-25 later. 15' after ordering a bagel and cream cheese, found out that the were out of cream cheese!?!?! They couldn't run down to the grocery store and bring it back? Or one the sous chefs could've stopped before coming in to buy some? The French toast was decent crispy and a bit sweet. The website picture of my wife's waffle she ordered looked like a Belgian waffle but looked more like an egg-o brand waffle. Tasted good but thin. For being an establishment associated with David Burke, we expected more. read more

I haven't stayed at this hotel, but I've been for drinks. Nice bartenders and cocktail selection in the lobby bar, though it can get pretty crowded after work and on weekends. There is also an outdoor space in the back where there is sometimes a bar and/or alcohol activation... otherwise just take your drink back there to sit in the grass and enjoy the fresh air! read more
