What a lovely place. I'm tempted to not give it five stars because we want to keep it to ourselves! But seriously, it was a flawless stay. From the ease of parking to the beautiful room, from the delightful young man who checked us in, to the lovely dining room (the room cost was so reasonable that we didn't mind breakfast wasn't included; we usually don't eat the plastic breakfasts most hotels "include" anyway. Instead we paid for a yummy breakfast in their hotel dining room. The restaurant also serves lunch and dinner, and there's a full bar. The hotel also has a spa which I am anxious to check out on my next visit. Generous public spaces with coffee provided. Very 1920s look to the place, but I don't know the actual history of the hotel. I intend to check that out next time too. We intend to come back and stay several days.

I went to try and crawl into my bed after an exhausting day at the hospital experiencing internal bleeding and I was greeted by this BED BUG!!!!! What's worse? Angus (guy working the late night shift on May 29th. ) He didn't even care about this, probably have seen this before. It was like pulling teeth to get my money back.

    Welcome to the Queensbury.

This is just a beautiful hotel. I can only imagine what it was like in the 30s 40s and 50s. It big and charming. It was very easy to get there off the parkway. Nice size parking lot. You walk into a long hallway to the beautiful lobby. You can just feel the history here. It's a relatively small check in area but the very efficient staff greeted us with smiles and helped us get to our room. It was a lovely room with a magnificent view. Plenty of working space and there is a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker in the room. I t was a very comfortable living space and the bed and pillows were perfect. I like the fact that they along with many other hotels have direct TV. I am sorry that I did not have time to take advantage of their lovely pool and and hot tub. We had a meeting and lunch in the Gold room the next day. They have a very attentive staff, good food and comfortable setting. Clean, comfortable, nice meeting areas and a nice restaurant. What a classy place. The location was central to Six Flags and Lake George. No more than 15 mins to either one. I was especially impressed with an elegant dining room. Was not outdated and very very classy. And the prices were pretty decent as well specially for a caliber like that. Loved the unique and ODOR FREE historical rooms. We had a closet with a bench so all of the messy bags were away from sight! What a great idea! I wish all of the hotels did that. We had a dinner in the courtyard. Wow! I just loved it. Great waitress and the younger manager woman who had great customer service skills. Beautiful inviting clean pool with a very good internal water temperature. A very friendly, down to earth maintenance guy who we saw a lot around the hotel. What was missing? Discounted tickets to Six Flags and/or Lake George boat tours. I think the hotel should have those offers ready for the traveling families and actually advertise that. I believe that would bring better revenues. The owner who purchased and remodeled that hotel has a good taste and is not cheap. You can sense that in the decor, finishes, and furniture choices. He's a guy who knows that you have to invest in order to please your customers. Not a cheap rip off who unfortunately are all over the place nowadays. And I thank him for that. Just minor suggestions: to add towel racks in some bathrooms (some of your bathrooms had none). Also add bathroom exhausts in the bathrooms that had no windows. Check sinks and make sure none are plugged. Fix all toilet paper holders. Add liquid soaps or at least bar soap trays. Small things that become pretty annoying when broken or absent. Thank you for a great stay. We will be back.

I stayed here on a work trip and I absolutely love this cute hotel. It's right at the town square and the rooms are newly renovated and very quaint. The staff was super friendly and the bed extra comfy.

My partner and I stayed at the Queenbury Hotel on Wednesday night. It was a lovey experience. What I loved about this hotel is that it's dog friendly. It is a $50.00 charge per animal. Those who bring animals will stay on the second floor. There is a park right across the hotel so if you need to take your animal do go potty, it's a very short walk. You just cross the street! The park also has baggies next to the garbage cans so you can pick up after your baby. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. The hotel includes a pool and a fitness center. The area when you first walk in is absolutely beautiful to take pictures. The hotel has its own restaurant downstairs. You can either eat in, or request room service. Mind you, if you want it delivered to your room it is a $5.00 dollars charge, and tip is included. I ordered breakfast and lunch and I was extremely satisfied with the presentation and flavor. The rooms in which I stayed at was small. It did not have a microwave nor a mini fridge. That was the only thing I was upset with, besides that. Everything worked out well. I definitely will stay here again if I'm in the area. 5/5.

This time it's still just a 3 star review . Everyone and all the staff were very friendly and attentive ..... the free breakfast is adequate but still no gluten free items , they do have Almond milk ! I'm not sure how they are getting 4 and 5 star reviews as the hotel is just not being kept up . Maybe they are short staffed ? The carpets by the elevators and in the rooms are stained and it makes the whole room feel a bit dingy! I would think this is a quick fix and something they would keep on top of ! Although it's basically clean and neat , things like the linens are old and the towels aren't fresh smelling . Their laundry room for their linens is across the hall from the kitchen, so the towels although clean and fluffy kinda smell like breakfast ! Yes we keep coming back because the plus side is it's a very convenient locate . The rates are good and it's just 15-20 mins from Lake George and Saratoga Springs . Staying a few days here is do- able . I do hope they take note and maybe add some freshener to the towels , get some new linens and clean the carpets .. it would make a huge difference!

If you're traveling with young children, you should know that there is no beach area where they can gradually go into the water. The stairs off the dock are the only way in, but our group of non swimming 3-5 year olds did fine with floaties. The only disappointing thing was that there was no shampoo or soap in the bathrooms. For the price of this home, I feel that this should be included. Also, you should know that there are no spices. If you're planning to cook in, which we did every night, you will need to bring your own spices, olive oil, etc. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, crock pot, coffee maker and plenty of dishes. Properties are beautiful and well appointed but they are notorious for after charges with claims. My recent stay I was not happy that they don't release the address until check in time especially when traveling 3 hours to get there. Overall, the unit was relatively clean, although I did find hair left in the shower and cobwebs in the bunk area. The hot tub had not been cleaned and, despite being covered, was full of leaves and bugs. The shower water pressure was extremely weak and noticeable cob webs throughout the home. Also, the bunk bed is listed as a king bed, which is inaccurate. Despite these issues, I was happy with my stay and was even considering booking one of their properties again. Several days after my stay I discovered an unexpected $500 charge on my credit card with absolutely no notice or warning. When I checked the app to find out what the charge was for, I found a message from the host simply stating: "stained linens throughout the rental." This accusation was both vague and unreasonable. We barely used the rental and only slept in one of the 3 beds and followed all check out rules to leave the unit spotless. To be charged $500 after the fact, without any prior communication, photos, evidence, or opportunity to discuss the issue, was extremely disappointing and has completely changed my opinion of this property management company. After contacting Vrbo to dispute the charge and multiple attempts to contact the property with no response. northern provided photo proof of alleged soiled linens. 1. A kitchen towel/rag that had signs of food on it (washable), 2. A pillow case with a slight soiled spot (washable) and 3. A towel that had dirt marks on it (washable). All issues were normal use and could be washed and definitely did not result in the need to replace: as requested by northern to the extent of 1. 2 pillow shams (only one was soiled) 2. a new comforter which they had no proof of any damage to 3. New dish towel 4. 6 full sets of towels (only one set was even used - they provided 3 total - 1 set for each bed and the unused ones remained folded in place where they were placed by northern) Potential guests should be aware of the possibility of additional charges, inaccurate bed sizes and most important significant post-stay charges and proceed with caution. Inspect every inch upon arrival and before departure and take photos and videos. Or even better. Don't stay at their properties at all.

Perfect location for time in Glens Falls but close enough to Lake George and Saratoga Springs that other guests covered all three locations in one day! The Inn itself is beautifully restored by its new owners who are clearly experienced in Bed and Breakfast management. The rooms are clean but simple details in decoration make it unique. Two of the rooms have gas fireplaces, we enjoyed the ease and beauty of them in our room. The lines, pillows and towels were definitely a step above what you find staying in a hotel. Appreciated the individual controls in each room for comfort. A nice touch was the small fridge in the closet. It didn't take away from the ambiance of the room but added a feature many Bed and Breakfasts don't have. Breakfast was awesome! Coffee and tea are available at any hour. Fresh coffee is out at 7:30 and breakfast served from 8:30-10. I truly enjoyed tea from a beautiful tea cup and saucer. PASS ON THIS HOTEL!!!…read more Just for starters : (My family and I are currently staying in this hotel) I usually review places once our trip is completed but this place needs to be reviewed now!!!! My family and I have stayed 1 night here before (about 2/3 years ago). It was "OK" , tolerable for 1 night. It was clean , beds were clean, toilet bowl was short and wobbly and room doors closed sketchy, Price was cheap. But other than that it was OK for 1 night & no more. Fast forward to 2024 & we chose here again because we are visiting the Silo restaurant which is minutes from this hotel & was alot cheaper then the other hotels close to the Silo. Upon check-in there were a couple people checking in so we had to wait a few minutes but nothing terrible. Lady at check-in counter was friendly. So here's the rundown of information for the hotel: * There is a $150 "security deposit "(incidentals) that is taken at check in. Note to anyone booking thru a third party site- You don't get told on other booking sites about this fee. (But funny thing is- Back in October of 2023 my family and I stayed at the best western in lake George for a family gathering and that hotel was decent. Hot breakfast, nicely remodeled bathrooms, rooms looked like a log cabin with high wood paneled ceilings. And @ that hotel we never had to PAY ANY DEPOSIT for anything. ALL WE PAID FOR WAS THE PRICE OF THE ROOM & NOTHING ELSE!) *Wifi here is a "open network " no password required *Pool Hours are -- 9a To 9pm *Breakfast is from -- 6am To 9am Breakfast consists of : Toast, Bagels, yogurt, oatmeal , coffee, tea, & waffles. (We haven't made it to breakfast yet,(it is currently in the middle of the night while I write this review ) Staff member told us at check-in what was for breakfast & I also read what other reviewers said) Now back to review: Like I stated, it is currently in the middle of the night that I am writing this review. I couldn't wait till I get home to review this place. People need to know about this place now! I read reviews about this place, people complaining about the breakfast options and how the place is dated, & how the walls are thin. All of those reviews were true. The walls are VERY PAPER THIN!!!! The people in the room next to us are having quite the gathering. There are multiple people in the room. Music playing, laughing, and it's 1 am. We're trying to give these people the benefit of the doubt because we're still awake. The walls are SO thin. We can hear their conversations word for word. & we have our tv on to try and drown out the noise. It's not helping!!!! The outside of the hotel is very dated, parking lot could be re-black topped, outside exterior could use a fresh coat of paint and grounds could be spruced up a little for a better "curb appeal" . The lobby is decent , pool area is oddly huge with a portion of the pool area not having any tables or chairs. It's just a big space that the hotel should occupy with more tables & loungers. There is 2 bathrooms in the pool area that are decent and big & there was a storage bin that supposedly held pool towels but there were none left. There were wet pool towels scattered throughout the pool area floor that people just dropped & left even though there was a bin for "dirty" towels. (Guess some guests don't know how to clean up after themselves.) Hotel rooms are not bad. Beds are clean , bathroom was okay, there is a refrigerator and microwave. Our refrigerators freezer part did have water in it (almost as if the freezer defrosted and melted water into the tray of the freezer) but we didn't mind it because we're not using the fridge. We left to go get dinner earlier and as we were walking out, there was a couple arguing so loud in the hallway. The guy was yelling at the girl, & it carried outside. & coincidentally when we got back from dinner (almost 2 hours later) the same girl was outside being loud on the phone. (Ratchet at its finest here) I never once expected high expectations for this place , but at least have some decency. I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!!! & wanted to write a very thorough review for other people seeking this place out.

It didn't smell god awful, but the lampshade is torn and broken just swinging about; the AC/Heat unit squeals like a pig off and on; obvious water damage to ceiling; window lining broken and sticking out; chipped/scraped up end table; broken shower curtain and just a huge dump in general. I just had their free continental breakfast and the Raisin Bran cereal was 100% old and stale, but they had fake powdered eggs and watered down coffee and orange juice.
