Beautiful theater, restrooms on the main floor which is always nice. Sound was ok. On a strip with so much going on, lots of restaurants, lights & folks in the streets. I was in awe of all the features and interior, it made the full experience spectacular and the acoustics were top top notch. I did manage to get a glass of wine at intermission before the lines got busy so I didn't have issues there but I could see how this might be challenging for other guests.

Rachel Ziegler delivers a truly remarkable performance. This production makes the most of the theater and incorporates the theater and its iconic outside balcony into the show. While the Palladium is an outstanding and beautiful theater, visiting this landmark to see Evita is a double treat. Highly recommend.

Seating for our show wasn't numbered. It looks like the seating arrangements can be moved around depending on the production. It's a small theatre, so sound wasn't an issue and great views all around. We were front centre, so we had a brilliant experience. There's a bar downstairs and they have washrooms. (Didn't use either) A word of warning, if your show ends late (10:15 on a Friday night), there's no place in walking distance to grab dinner later. So plan accordingly.

Uninspiring to look at from the outside, the inside, too, holds back on the glitz and glamour. A couple of soulless corridors link the box office to the bar and the auditorium. The Bridewell doesn't put on large scale productions, it's a small theatre largely used for am-dram performances and the shows of small theatre groups. The auditorium seats around 130 and is quite adaptable. Depending on what performance is being staged at the time the setup is versatile, the seating can be changed and moved around so as the "stage" can be more easily manipulated and configured to suit the director's desires. The problem with this performance space is that the stage/seating areas are separated from the 'backstage' area by curtains only. This means you'll often hear the theatre staff and stagehands shuffling about and working away. Not dreadful but still a distraction. The bar is downstairs and isn't altogether impressive. The air in the bar has a feel and smell to it as that of a damp, concrete storage basement - which is exactly what it is/was. Other events are held down here and a small number of artworks from numerous small-scale temporary exhibits are displayed too. As well as some larger agricultural equipment/furniture. I imagine this is because there just isn't anywhere else to put it, though. All in all, the Bridewell Theatre probably won't impress you but it's theatre's like this that are necessary for grassroots production and, depending on the particular production you see, of course, I'm sure you will find some enjoyment from your visit. Its a great little theatre...the guys kept the queue moving and once inside it was easy to find loos, bars and seats...they did insist no glasses on the front row, plastic only - pretty sensible one would say. A great view from up there - probably the best seats, though frankly, I'm reckon you would get a good view from almost anywhere - the online chart showing seating available helps immensely when deciding It was a fantastic evening...yes, there were a few kids, but this was really one for the parents...you could tell with the exuberant not to say loud, contribution from the audience - everyone there was ready to participate, given the slightest chance This is a FUN evening with all the cast in good form, some excelling and I don't just mean the 2 leads. A few political asides, a few risque moments but basically it was a show to savour. The 3 musicians in the boxes were good too. It was probably a good thing they didn't invite anyone on the stage For me, the best performance came from Oscar Conlon-Morrey who literally threw himself into the part as Jack, the son. We contacted the Peacock Theatre to explain our utter disapointment with 'agents' of their company who they allow to sell tickets on their behalf. The response from the Peacock Thearte was 'we are sorry but there is nothing we can do'. ADVCE: Other than stop companies like Theatre Tickets Direct selling tickets to your shows might be something you could consider? Whilst we are going to watch the show, we will never attend the Peacock Thearte again. It is rather ironic that the Theartes here in London have been pleading for Government funding to help them survive the pandemic, and then allow companies like Theatre Tickets Direct sell their shows and treat consumers unfairly in their name. HERE BELOW IS OUR THEARTE TICKETS DIRECT REVIEW ON GOOGLE AND TRUSTPILOT BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY AND BEFORE YOU EVEN CONSIDER USING THEM CHECK THEIR ONE STAR REVIEWS. So, my Wife tried to book two tickets for Saturday Night Fever at the Peacock Thearte for the performance on the evening of the 20 February 2022. Upon visiting their site she notice a block of three front row seats available so she proceeded to book two of the three seats available. She booked one of the two seats but when she tried to book the seat next to the one she had booked she found that system was not letting her do so. Frustrated with this she when out of the booking system and refreshed her browser. Upon going back into the booking system she clicked on the first seat she had booked it and was not showing as available any longer. She then thought well that seat has now gone and successfully booked the other two remaining seats. She went to the secure checkout and paid for the tickets. Within minutes of making the booking she received notification from her bank that Thearte Tickets Direct had debited the cost of all three tickets from her account. She immediately emailed Thearte Tickets Direct advising them of the error within tens minutes of receiving the notification of debit from her bank. She received a very abrupt email the next day from a Nandeep Vyas advising that it was now 'impossible' to issue a refund for the third ticket even though it was probably a glitch in their booking system. We have perused the one star reviews here and would tend to agree with the consensus of opinion expressed therein that the customer service is appalling and that they are potentially scamming consumers. We are consumer lawyers and we will not let this matter rest. We fully intend to drag the matter through the Small Claims Court for a princely sum of £35 to issue on these people, and have them explain their T&Cs to the court is well worth it, and we will publish the outcome here, win or lose. We have also written to the Chief Executive of the Peacock Theatre outlining our dissapointment in the way in which this company represent the theatres who allow them to sell tickets for their shows on their behalf.

A very centrally located and super comfortable theatre. It feels more like a plush cinema hall than…read morethe regular London theatres (live productions) Comfortable seats, with good cushioning and gasp! Plenty of leg room! We were down in the stalls and there are no pillars or other such construction in the middle of the hall, so none of the seats were "restricted view" I'd bought discounted tickets on Time Out and that is always a risk, since you do not know until you've picked up your tickets in the day of the show, what seats are going to be allocated to you. But at the Peacock, that risk is minimised - due to the afore mentioned absence of "restricted view" seats. Temperatures were comfortable throughout. There were cafeterias on both floors (stalls and circle), but we had just had dinner before the show, so we didn't brave the crowds milling around to check it out. They do have a lift for the disabled to use, so access is not an issue, even though the elevator is very slow. I'm not 100% sure about this, but I think they have some kind of tie-up with Sadler Wells as they seem to have a lot of their shows coming up.

The theater is a classic British style. Several floors, bar areas and hard to find toilets. Corridors are narrow and you have to be able to climb stairs to get to most seats.Most seats offer a good view of the stage. My only disappointment was that they ran out of my preferred flavor of ice-cream at intermission!

The seating has an old-school velvety feel to it.....didn't feel dirty and there was zero musk in the air so I'd say the place is cleaned up often enough. :p Decent seat legroom (economy-flight-legroom-tier) but space between seats isn't the greatest (saw many folks being elbow-to-elbow). Overall not a dealbreaker if there's a show that you want to see that's being held here (for me I watched The Comedy About Spies; fantastic show), but wouldn't say that you would be optimally comfortable while watching the show.
