I've been many many times since and now I live so close by, it's one of my local bars on a night out. This underground tiki-themed dive bar is small, but always has the best atmosphere. The drinks are all yummy, mainly rum based and the cocktails are a delight to watch being made and to drink! The bartenders in Liars are very friendly and are always up for a laugh. I do find that Liars Club is better during the week than at a weekend - the weekend gives off a different vibe, and gets a little too busy for my liking - but rest assured you'll have a good night in here no matter when you visit.

All I remember is the drinks were strings, some were well mixed while others were eh it was ok... Just tasted like alcohol. Though the bar is cool, it does have a smelly funk to it so prepare to close your nose especially if the place is crowded...the drinks are cool, pretty creative but the art of making yummy cocktails is kinda lost because the proportion of the juices and alcohol isn't quite well done. We especially liked the spicy mayonaise as it had a good kick to it. I really liked the burger- big thick and juicy with accompaniments to match and we ordered 1more mac and cheese to share halfway through our meal cos we couldn't get enough of it! The staff were really friendly and bubbly which made the night an even better experience. We sat on the outside tables, so you might want to watch out for the heaters, as they are really hot! I must say, I was very impressed with this restaurant, and dare I say it, as good as the original!

The bar area is nice and has a big outside area for nice days. Gin and tonics were nice and reasonably priced for a venue like this. The lunch was very nice, although the portions of some dishes were a little on the small side. I had a heritage tomato salad to start, followed by a mushroom pithivier with kale, and finally roulade (which was delicious but basically a posh swiss roll!). Food and service were good, but the real reason why you're here is the view. On a clear day, it's spectacular - easily one of the best views of the city, and you can see for miles out to the hills and countryside. I'm quite scared of heights, but was able to enjoy them without being right up against the windows - the panoramic ceiling to glass walls are great, and the lunchtime tables and arranged at an angle so you can enjoy the view whilst eating. It's not cheap here, but you can tell from the decor that they're priced as a premium venue. Is it the best food I've ever had? No, but it's still very good... but the views more than compensate.

My son had a confirmed 7pm restaurant reservation for two people, booked in advance with a credit card provided. This was for a birthday celebration, and we had travelled over an hour to get there. When I dropped him off, the doorman refused to let him enter and told him he needed ID. I contacted Paolo from the restaurant and explained that this was a restaurant reservation -- NOT a bar reservation. I was told the ID requirement was for the bar. I have since checked 20 Stories' own official website, and this is where the situation becomes even more unacceptable. Your FAQ clearly states: "Children are allowed in the main dining area at any time but will have to leave the bar area by 6pm." (20 Stories) So please explain how a customer with a 7pm restaurant reservation could be refused entry because of an alleged age restriction? The published policy actually says the complete opposite. It specifically distinguishes between the main dining area and the bar area, and states that children are permitted in the restaurant at any time. My son was there to eat in the restaurant, not drink in the bar. There was then an absolutely ridiculous amount of back-and-forth between myself, my son and the doorman. The attitude was rude, dismissive and completely unhelpful. Nobody seemed interested in resolving the issue or acknowledging that we had a legitimate restaurant reservation. We had travelled over an hour for this booking. It was a birthday celebration. Instead of enjoying the evening, my son was left standing outside with nowhere to go, after being refused entry to a restaurant that, according to your own website, allows children in the main dining area at any time. This wasn't simply poor customer service. It was completely unacceptable and entirely avoidable. If your own website says children are allowed in the main dining area at any time, then your door staff should know and follow that policy. If there is some additional age restriction that overrides your published FAQ, then why isn't it clearly communicated when making a restaurant booking? You accepted the booking. You took the card details. You knew the booking was for the restaurant. Your own website says children are permitted in the main dining area at any time. So why was my son refused entry? The whole birthday evening was ruined because of what appears to be a complete failure of communication between your reservations team and your door staff. For a restaurant that presents itself as a high-end venue, this level of customer service is frankly embarrassing. I would strongly suggest that management urgently reviews its door policy, trains its staff properly and ensures that customers are not treated in this way again. Absolutely unacceptable. I was lucky enough to have Neil C. take me to Manchester House last Friday as a treat for starting my new job. I have visited the bar on 12th floor numerous times and have always been impressed, but this was the first time for dinner. Upon arrival, the hostess on the ground floor congratulated me on my new job! Excellent customer service and such an amazing, personal feel. She knew this from when the table was booked, but she didn't have to say anything. She did and it was amazing. Heading out of the lift into the restaurant we were greeted by a few more lovely hostesses. They welcomed us, took our coats and we were shown to our table. Walking through the restaurant, it has been very cleverly designed so that you walk past the kitchen first, giving you chance to see some of the dishes being prepared and sent out to their tables. I was SO excited. We ordered 2 full tasting menus. I ordered the drinks flight in addition and Neil C. went for the wine flight. The tables were neatly laid out and the seating was comfy - good job too, as we were sat there almost 3 hours. Our waiter arrived, carrying 2 glasses of Champagne. 'A gift from us. To congratulate you on your new job!' he said. :D *Laura beams* These guys are good. Throughout the evening our waiter was charming, knowledgeable, friendly and explained each dish in such minute detail that I can barely remember what I ate. All I have to say is that every one of the twelve courses I consumed was exquisite. Overall, it's obviously very expensive, but more than worth it. One French 75 had a pretty major impact on my sobriety, however, so I'd say it's value for money as well as delicious. I'm also a fan of their cut glass crystal. The quality is very good and strong so you can take your time with them. I would say along with the wordy tale behind each cocktail is provide a clear description of what's in it and if its a long short drink. Service can be little slow sometimes but its great if you are in no rush. Also the gent was surprised when I showed him a yelp 10% offer. Alas yelp is not as popular as it once was around here.

We didn't want to risk another, especially as it's really hard to tell how the many options with savoury ingredients would turn out! More of an overall description of the flavour could help (Dandelyan Bar in London has a light/dark/sweet/sour graph thing that was helpful for their more unusual choices!) It's also fairly expensive albeit there's clearly a lot of fancy ingredients (although sadly I notice more and more Manchester bars are unjustifiably raising the prices of their pretty basic cocktails - we srsly should not be encouraging them by buying them when there are places like Lost in Tokyo that are much better value). I wouldn't rush back but will probably try again at some point.
