I have found the staff helpful, kind, and on top of kids who are misbehaving. Having a kid who is under two, we play in the baby area (3 and under) a lot. I don't know why it draws in older kids like it does. Maybe because they're not allowed, they feel the need to go? Anyways, I don't have problems if there's older kids in with their younger siblings and they're being calm and just helping the younger kids. But when kids come barreling in, jumping throwing things, yelling...nope. It's a baby area, and I have no issue telling kids to leave. The staff is usually good at keeping an eye on that area as well. They regularly are out and about wiping the structure and play areas down. I'm not sure how they sanitize the ball pit balls, but I hope they do! There's clearly signs that say only homemade food so I'm not sure why people complain about that like it's not posted. There's also signs up saying to wear shoes in the bathrooms...I don't know why you wouldn't You do have to buy socks if you don't bring your own, so remember that! But they don't care what kind of socks (the Playground requires you wear only Playground socks) Is also recommend checking the calendar on their website before going! Sometimes they have private parties and will be closed to the general public. I've made the mistake a couple times of just driving over and getting there and it's closed. Oops! Their cafe area is good and the food is pretty yummy. I always bring snacks for myself and my daughter though so we don't have to pay for extra things if I don't want to. I haven't had any issues with any of the staff, though I've never interacted with the manager. The staff that is usually there is all great and very helpful! If you're not combative or rude, they're not either. The biggest problem I've run into is that parents or caregivers will park it somewhere and sit on their phones or computers and not pay attention to their kids at all. So you do get wild, out of control, and mean kids sometimes. If you have littles who want to climb the big structure, I'd always go with them to make sure they're not getting pummeled. Overall, we love this place and got a membership so we can come whenever!!

Although we live in Paradise Hills and there are other locations near us- McGrath is where I found myself 5xs/ week- when they first opened at 6am. I came solely for the indoor heated pool. During this time, I was out on a work injury for 5 months & wasn't sure how much longer I'd be on a No Work Status. Between my occupational health doctor & my podiatrist- we were waiting to see if my foot would be in a cast. By the time I found out- NO cast was needed- my podiatrist recommended either strength training or swimming. The gals who did our application intake, honored my husband's First Responder credentials & that helped waive his application fee! Since we notated my friend referring us to McGrath- she also got a credit to her monthly fee- the following month. I was utilizing the heated pool for walking and the foam resistance weights. I have gotten to know & chat with the morning indoor lifeguards. And they helped make the morning session go fast. (Along with the music playing). Thank you Adam, Cameron, Will, Drew, Colton, Tati, Hannah, Annika & Audriana (hope I spelled your names right!). I have especially made a friend with an older fella, Randy. And he was especially the highlight of my morning. We would share our walking lane and time went by so fast. Along with the facility times changing- from 6am/ 5:30am/ 5am.... Staff doesn't miss a beat. There was a time during winter 2025- the only pool (outdoor) at Santee was getting maintenance. It was out for more than a month. And there was an influx of additional members at McGrath for quite some time. I felt the influx seemed like a burden to a few regulars- but, for me- I had the opportunity to meet more members by name. It may seem like a nuisance if one's daily routine is disrupted for a bit, but just remember- it's temporary. I was taken aback, when some grown adults refused to share their pool lanes. But, it was great to see lifeguards correct this behavior. Fast forward to Summer 2026- I booked a one hour massage and am looking forward to my first session.

They are well maintained and are opened to the public during the day. They offer tennis lessons for children and adults through out the year and sponsor several tournaments. No pro shop or locker rooms only public restroom which are locked most of the time. (Select members have keys to the restroom and office) if they happen to be playing tennis while you are there they will unlock the restrooms for you.

Only join this team if you want to have your kids be reprimanded by staying…read moreoutside alone with no adult supervision, to be made to feel that they are insignificant, and not worthy of remembering their names & and if you want to sign a contract to practice at one facility only to be duped to have practice at multiple other facilities and have the practice time be changed multiple times. Read below My girls have been playing with summit for a couple seasons now & this season has been horrible. After we already signed up and paid & had a couple of practices. We were notified that summit dropped the ball & didn't do their contracts in time for us to keep playing at the facility we were at. This was upsetting because we agreed to play with Summit because it was closer to where we live now we were going to have to drive further. But, we agreed to the move, thinking things could not get worse. Then we've been playing at the new facility only to find out that Summit dropped the ball once again & we will have to move to yet another facility. Only for us to be notified that at the new facility, the teams are going to have to share a court. Now we are being told to go to yet another facility, but the new place is just a public park that is outside. The park closes at 5 but practice is from 5:30 to 7:30. And no one can tell me how will we get into this park being that it closes before we start practice & if lights will be on for these young girls. Luckily we were only at the outside facility for a little while and we're able to go back to the second facility. But the practice was now 630 to 830 even though it's during the week and all of these kids have school. The season is a mess because Mary the director doesn't even live in San Diego. She is in Florida and is struggling to keep up to date on what's happening with the teams here in SD. Mary has been completely irresponsible through all of this. I'm paying over $3,000. And I'm still not exactly sure what I'm paying for. We have three coaches two of them are teenagers and one of them is an adult. And surprisingly enough the adult is the more immature out of the group. She is constantly calling the kids by other names, not their names when the kids correct her on it. She tells them to "get over it. I don't remember my own nieces and nephews names. Why would I remember your names?" When the kids mess up on drills or the coaches feel like they are not listening to them they will make these girls go one at a time sit outside in the dark, at a location that is closed and has no security on campus. The age range of these girls are between 10 and 12. But of course, as soon as the parent calls them out on that, they will backtrack and even say that the kids misunderstood. I have emailed Mary multiple times she will not respond to any of my emails. I asked for at least some money back for all the inconveniences, she didn't even have the guts to email me back and say no just hasn't responded. It's been over two weeks. In all of this I'm so sad for my daughters, they LOVE volleyball but they said this whole season has made them not like it. Mary if you see this, you're not fit to run anything

Mon., Wed., Fri. can be pretty busy on the courts. They have one full basketball court, one tennis court (that become two Pickleball courts when Tennis is not being played), and two permanent Pickleball only courts.

We came today, Memorial Day 2021 and no parking in the lot whatsoever. I'm roaming and waiting to get something close as I am carrying some heavy items. The baseball park seems to work for us. Fields are well kept and the staff seems to be on top of it. We traveled from about an hour and a half away. There's no bag check and it seems like we're able to bring in outside food even though there is a snack bar. We carried in while Pizzas and an ice chest and nobody harassing us to leave it in the car. I love this park! NO SEEDS NO ALCOHOL NO GUM Simple enough rules.

I've been playing and coaching baseball or over 12 years …read more While at the last game the umpire Was making bad calls . It was a close game . These calls Avoided a sure loss . As the game ended the crowd was Upset. Making remarks on the bad call! My son chirped " what did you get paid" making a joke . The umpire lost his mind !!!! He stormed off field quickly approached my son with intent to fight !!!! I couldn't believe this was happening. Once face to face the umpire body checked my son ! Now we have physical contact. Pushing and shoving followed . Turns out the umpire is the Board President! Nice example Also his grandson was on the other team ?!!!! Total conflict. We will pursue that this guy be removed from any little league Positions.
