She was terrible at giving directions (just turn, turn the other way, no the other way, move your hand, etc - entirely unclear) and would get mad at us when we didn't guess correctly what she meant. When we didn't pose the way she wanted, she would make sarcastic and snippy comments that made us all SO uncomfortable and made the whole shoot so awkward. And then she'd bark at you to smile! We did not get one single photo that we will ever use. I am so very sad and mad, not only that we wasted $500 but that we can't go back and get photos that we can actually use of my baby at this age again. We can never get that back. I would highly encourage you to think twice before hiring Christina if you have a baby - she absolutely does NOT know how to shoot babies. Or family groups. If you have any thoughts or opinions of your own whatsoever about what you want, she will not listen to you. When I told her what shots I wanted (which we had discussed over the phone and in email prior to the shoot) she yelled at me that she's the professional and basically I needed to shut up and do it her way because I don't know anything. I left the shoot in tears. It was truly awful. And surprise surprise, I've never seen less flattering photos of myself or my family in my entire life. There is literally not one single photo where you can see everyone's face and everyone has their eyes open! I truly believe she started taking bad photos intentionally after I didn't want to do one of her poses because even a non-professional photographer could capture at least one or two that were ok. Think twice before hiring her.

She met with us prior to our shoot to get an understanding of our vision, help advise us on what to wear, and decide on a location. Everything she suggested was absolutely perfect!! The photos came out 100x better than we ever could have hoped for and she returned them to us remarkably fast! It was a pleasure to work with such a friendly & talented photographer and I would recommend her to anyone!

Before the wedding, she took the time to understand our vision and preferences, ensuring every detail was considered. Considering that we reached out 2-weeks before our special day, she made the entire process of contract and payment simple. During the wedding, her calm and professional demeanor put us at ease, allowing us to fully enjoy our day without any worries. After the wedding, her prompt communication and the beautiful presentation of the photos exceeded our expectations. The most memorable or standout part of working with Katie was her incredible ability to capture the pure joy and emotion of our special day. She effortlessly blended into the background, yet managed to be everywhere at once, capturing every precious moment with stunning clarity and artistry. To any couple who's on the fence about hiring Katie Blondin Photography, I would say don't hesitate for a second! Her talent, dedication, communication, and passion for her craft are unparalleled. She has a remarkable gift for capturing the essence of a moment, and your photos will be treasured memories that we will cherish forever. It was important to us to have a photographer who was able to capture our two dogs who were the best "men" in our wedding. Katie was a pro with making sure they were the stars of the photos. A cherished photo in our gallery is of us with our boys. Thank you, Katie, for being a part of our wedding and for providing us with such breathtaking memories. Your work is truly exceptional, and we couldn't be happier with our decision to have you as our wedding photographer.

I've always…read morebeen uncomfortable with my picture being taken and I was worried that it would feel forced, I would feel awkward, and the photos would show it. Everett took the time to learn our style and understand exactly what we were looking for. He helped me feel at ease right away and guided me through it, giving me subtle, precise feedback and making us laugh. I found myself really enjoying our engagement session, which is seen clearly in the photos. We used our engagement album as our guest book for people to sign and it was a huge hit. Our wedding was an even better experience. Everett was everywhere, yet we barely noticed him. He managed to capture moments that neither of us noticed even as they were happening. Everett was also able to make the traditional and formal photos feel unique and they all came out looking relaxed as opposed to looking forced. Several people at the wedding made comments regarding his professionalism. Everett has a very critical eye for detail and it absolutely shows in the final product. We received our wedding album and were highly impressed--it truly captures the emotion and the joy of the entire day. My wife and I find new things to appreciate each time we look at our photos and it somehow feels that we are looking at them for the first time, again and again. We would recommend Everett without reservations for his dedication and willingness to get the perfect photo and the perfect final product. He has incredible talent and you will not be disappointed if you decide to hire him as your photographer.

My son and daughter in law hired him for their wedding in August. I feel bad because I actually…read moreencouraged them to look at his work. He had a great display and seemed very nice. They did hire him even though he was a little on the pricey side and had to pay the difference of what the venue allotted. They did their engagement session with him and the pictures looked good. I ordered a few for myself and grandmothers. When I received them, it was evident that he did not edit them. My son had breakouts and nothing was done to fix that. When I saw Everett in person I asked about this and his response was that he did not edit. WHAT?! He said that most photographers do not edit their work for free or at all. What we learned was - he did not know how to edit (self professed). He was great at removing stop signs out of pictures but apparently not a pimple. He said that he would ask around on how to do that. Then we didn't hear back from him. My daughter and I were looking for a photographer for her wedding this year and at a wedding show in Loveland. We looked at a few different photographers and asked about editing etc. All, and I mean ALL, said that editing skin was included. Each and everyone photographer said that they did not want their work to be anything less than perfect upon presentation. Thank you!!!!! Funny but true, one of the photographers was a husband and wife team and when we asked them about skin retouching being included they said, "Of course, everyone does that". Well, we said not everyone, that my son and daughter in law hired a photographer that would not and could not, but he was asking around for help. They both looked at each other and the wife said, "Is it Everett by chance". They said he had called them for help. Seriously, at those prices he charges he should know what he is doing. When he came to the wedding, he was very curt and downright rude. He said several times that his camera was not working right and that it might be time to get a new one. Seriously?! A few of the guests and a couple of the grandparents thought he was very rude in general and asked how we found him. My brother in law heard Everett say his camera was on the fritz and stood behind at a respectable distance to take pictures just in case nothing turned out. He was very rude to him and told him to stop. Several of his asked if he would do family photos with the bride and groom and he said "No, if it its not on my list, I'm not doing them". So much for being flexible. Sadly, we missed the opportunity for generational pictures because the bride and groom did not think to ask for them beforehand. We know that he may not normally act like this, our first impression was very good, that's why they hired him. But heaven forbid you question his professional, or lack thereof, abilities. It was a terrible experience for my son and my daughter in law. She was constantly in tears. She tried to see if he would not do the album and refund some of the money and all he kept saying is that it was in the contract and he would refund nothing. She asked about the editing he was going to look into and apparently he was not able to learn it because he said well its not in his contract. He would do it but at a heavy additional price. A professional photographer friend of mine said that what he was saying was ridiculous and offered to retouch his photos for free. He made life very difficult for my daughter in law, I felt bad for her. Every time she asked for something he kept saying its not in his contract and would tell her it was additional. Everything! I don't recommend him unless your skin is flawless and nothing goes wrong. We will never use him again. We have four kids, and it could have been a good business for him. And in case you are wondering, yes we initially were very respectful and kind to him when we asked about the editing and apologized about it, also mentioned that his picture layouts were great. But apparently his pride had been wounded and it was all downhill from there. I have no vested interest with this photographer. I paid him no money out of pocket therefore have no reason to complain if I had not witnessed and heard what he was saying and doing firsthand. Please don't waste your time with him. I saw that others really like him and I am happy for them. Unfortunately, that was not our experience and I would be surprised if we were the first and the last.

They are so fun to work with!…read more I first met J-K Photography when they photographed the Denver American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Walk. They volunteered their time and services to capture the importance of our walk. I asked if they did engagement photos and they said yes! As I'm getting married in Cincinnati, my fiance and I wanted to take engagement photos in Denver to reflect our love of Colorado and the west. Jeanette and Kathi came prepared with props and ideas for where and what to shoot for our session - great for me because I hadn't thought too much about that part! We spent 2.5 hours at Wash Park taking very fun photos. Jeanette and Kathi were so awesome to work with. Any suggestions or thought we had, they incorporated it into their photos. Our session was on Saturday morning and by Monday afternoon, they'd already posted 3 'sneak peek' photos and let us know that we should have our DVD within 2 weeks of the shoot. They have 2 options for photo packages - choosing a number of photos for them to retouch and print or choosing to have a DVD of all photos for us to use how we want. Both prices are very competitive. I highly recommend J-K Photography to engaged couples for an engagement session. (They also do family portraits, weddings, sports, lifestyle, etc). Great to work with and high quality photos!
