thurs nite taco special...fresh ingredients...lettuce...tomato...shredded cheese...beef deep fried in taco shell but meat absolutely flavorless. not sure why but alotta NM uses no taco seasoning al all. Service was acceptable. Ambiance good if you like live music but this oasis is usually always this way...only open thurs thru saturday. Our family lives here and we've been to the Annex numerous times when it was first opened. Being out of state, it has been about 6 years since we've been back visiting Logan. One treat for us as a family was to visit the Annex based on our past visits. Sadly we were disappointed. Our waitress seemed to be either stressed or perhaps her personality was defensive as customer service was not her strength. I like to think maybe she was having a bad day. Our orders were incorrect based on how we interpreted the menu. My special needs son has a dietary issue and truthfully we were tired and we did not want to make a big deal over the matter but asked the waitress for the correct order and she was very prickly over the miscommunication. We liked the fact the owner came by our table to ask how our meal was. We probably should have mentioned something right then... But again, we were exhausted and just wanted to relax in the a.c. of the restaurant as our a.c. at the family home was broken. The food was okay. Not exciting. I noted that the same ground beef and beans in the nachos was also in my husband's burrito and in my enchilada plate. The seasoning was bland and nothing spectacular. I was disappointed in the green sauce as someone thought by adding extra heat to it equated it to flavor. I love tomatillo salsa but this salsa was pure heat and no flavor. I should have ordered a burger or sandwich that my in laws rave about when they visit the Annex. Lesson learned here folks... do not order the Mexican food at this place if you truly love Tex-Mex. Found this place while Passing thru last night and decided to give it a try Nice "movie" theme decor Service was really good , food Served in a timely manner, hot and fresh Hubs had the smothered burrito , he said it was very good I have the fish and chips. They were excellent ... However the fries were kind of soggy/greasy Beer cold The blackberry cobbler tasted amazing just like homemade I only gave it a 4 star due to the fact I felt it was a little overpriced for the area All in all it was a good meal and if on the area again we would stop for sure Lots of truck and trailer parking / large vehicle read more

An awesome family restaurant and bar tucked away in a sweet Village. The staff is friendly and courteous. I spoke with the owner and she is a treasure to her community. We found this jewel last year as we were going home from Red River. It was a Sunday, we were hungry and thirsty, and we needed to get out of the car. YELP suggested The Annex, and now it is on our list of "must-do's." We ate there again this year, on a Sunday, and brought more family with us. I really think our group will continue to grow from year to year. The special on this day was Green Chile Enchiladas (for $8.99), and they were yummy! Another favorite is the Green Chile Chicken Fried Steak with rice and beans. Taco Salad, Quesadillas---we recommend it all. Tamiqua was our server, and she kept our table happy with full glasses, and food brought hot to our table. See you next year, Annex! read more

I ordered a jalapeño burger and my fiancée order a green chili cheese burger both were good. Buns were great, wasn't to crazy about the meat. I would of preferred to choose how my meat was cooked. We also shared green chili cheese fries and those were so good!! It was nice going to the lake and calling in dinner for pick up. Place far exceeded expectations. Was here on a Saturday and had the brisket burrito smothered in green chili sauce. Amazing. Again, I think the five stars (which I don't give lightly) is as much because I had low expectations and this far exceeded them. read more

The chef salad was lacking some items but overall nice people and good food. Server was friendly.

We stopped for gas and while inside the "C" store to pay I looked in"The Annex" and saw a very attractive restaurant. We ate a very good lunch in a very pleasant place. We had the pulled pork and chopped Brisket sandwich. Both were very good. The BBQ sauce was very good too. We will return the next time in the area. read more

The Annex Bar & Grill is a great place to go after a local ball game in Logan. It is close to the Logan Elementary school. The waitresses are super sweet and so are the owners who come and check on you and ask if the food is good. A couple times that I have gone the food has been somewhat cold and I had to ask for something else. The Annex Bar & Grill is always a go-to dinner plan after school or one of my games. Surprisingly huge and crowded. Wonderfully warm welcome. Got a huge mug of pale ale; nice to have a microbrew option. Hardly a vegetarian option, so we went with fish n chips, with the shrimp side. The Annex is known to have good ribs (and they do). They also have good brisket. We happened to get three dinners when we went, one being a 3 pork rib dinner, one a two meat dinner with pulled pork and brisket and the other was their chili cheese burger. We really enjoyed our main dishes and they gave us a ton of food. Their onion rings were really, really good (and I don't want to know what they're fried in), their baked potatos were as well. Their potato salad was not good at all. We were there on a sunday and they weren't serving beer in the restaurant, which was kind of weird so I have no idea what their beer selection is. Given it's location, I'm sure it's not great but you can probably get some light beer. You can also order take out but if you do, you have to pay extra for the sauce. Overall, very good bbq and onion rings, decent service, next time we visit Logan, we'll be tempted to go back. read more

I didn't expect very much because Logan shows to have less than1000 population, but service was great, very nice atmosphere, very family oriented and good was excellent! We had double chili cheese dogs, chicken fried steak and stacked 'Christmas' enchiladas (red and green sauce), everything tasted very good, I would highly recommend this place. read more

We were told to stop here by a local in Tucumcarri, NM. We pulled up and from the outside it looks like a truck stop restaurant, but when we walked in we were pleasantly surprised at how great it looked! It was very clean, and had a great atmosphere. There are great decorations and just the right lighting. The staff was great! Very attentive and helpful. We ordered the steak fingers and fish and chips. They were great! We also had a couple of beers which tasted great and at good temperature. Hopefully someday we will get back up there to try the BBQ. It was a great find on our long road trip. read more

This place is in the middle of nowhere, well at least to me it is. Driving back to Dallas from Taos, NM and lunch time comes around and lo and behold, BBQ. The outside is deceiving, it's next to a gas station that looks questionable. You walk in and the restaurant is huge and inviting. Lots of eclectic crap on the wall, by crap I mean root beer posters, the 3 stooges, a vote for JFK poster, a wooden sled, an awesome John Wayne cutout... They've got plenty of TVs playing sports and a full bar. The staff is friendly and food came quick. They only have BBQ on the weekends during the winter. They were already out of the brisket when we got there, chopped and sliced. No big, not a huge fan. I got the sausage and pulled pork with onion rings and cole slaw. The sausage was just ok, nothing special about it. The pulled pork was melt in your mouth delicious. I really liked their sauce too. A vinegar based sauce with the right amount of tang and not too sweet. Going back to Angel Fire in a couple weeks and taking the same route. This place will definitely be a stop on the way. read more

great place, at first I was concerned about the prices , but it is worth every single penny. my new favorite stop on hwy 54.

Not so good especially when they are busy. Forgetful slow service. Wilted brown lettuce on burgers and salads. Soda and lemonade has a real off taste that's hard to place. Stick with beer. Very fatty BBQ chopped brisket. Ground beef tastes old. read more

Just bought a place at the lake and have been going into The Annex quite a bit and the food has been very good anything we have gotten has been good and we have tried different things. The atmosphere really suprised us it is a very neat place on the inside just was not expecting it to look like that. Wait staff is good and food comes out promptly. Besides trying different things the one things we get everytime we go in is the potato skins they are very good!! The only thing i wish they would do is chill the bottle beer more it is just not very cold. read more
