The tacos for sure, especially with the homemade taco shells, remind me of my mom's. The green chili sauce was a tad spicy for ME, I'm not a consumer of spicy. But it was good because I finished it all. The chili relleno was tender and cheesy, tamal was good. The only thing I would have changed is easy on the ice in the margarita, because I probably had 4 sips from straw and it was gone (way to much crushed ice). The place is big, plenty of seating, clean and smelled good ( like it should) . Service was quick and food was hot. Im coming back for tacos.

In a struggling town La Cita's is a Mexican style restaurant with a good menu, and good food at a decent price. Friendly service and hot food is a welcome relief on a long trip, or just your hungry for something special. A welcome atmosphere and comfortable seats.

Lovely find in Tucumcari- delicious and flavorful food. We got the combo plate and the carne adovada burrito. I opted for the red and green sauce .. both about the same in spice (I would say middle of mild- medium). The chile relleno was my favorite and the burrito was equally good. Ended the meal with a sopapilla (light fluffy fried dough... with as much honey to your heart's content) . Indoor and outdoor seating. Service is friendly but busy and so a little slow when it comes to refills and checking on the table.

Taco and Sopapilla on the Combination Plate

Food and service were great. We had the Combination plate and the stuffed Sopapilla, both with green sauce. The green sauce was delicious! The only criticism is that the food did not stay hot throughout the meal.

Great stop on our roadtrip! Our server, Chris, gave excellent service. I had the potato skins with a side of ranch and they were excellent. My husband had the pozole and it was made perfectly! Be sure to ask for lime. The tamales and chile rellenos are housemade and excellent! They have a great variety on the menu of Tex-mex, authentic Mexican, and American classics. The green sauce is the best! Red is tasty too but spicy (in my opinion). Will definitely be back for roadtrips to come.

We were seated immediately upon entering. The waitress was very friendly and efficient. We ordered and our food came out in no time. The portions were large and the taste was delicious. You can go wrong to come here. F we lived in the area this certainly would be our go to place

Recommended by the folks from Carlson coffee company.. that was just down the road from La Cita. This place accommodated seven adults and a toddler promptly, efficiently and accommodating. The food was very very fresh flavorful.. our table had everything from amazing chili Rellenos, fresh fajitas, queso, burritos, and an Adrian special! I have to say the chips that they serve complementary with their salsa was the best chips and salsa I have had from a Mexican restaurant! the weight staff was super friendly and attentive.

The dining room was spacious, every table could be filled, and you'd still be able to walk without asking people to move in. The Bar was equally spacious with plenty of drinking options. We got the deep fried devils egg for the appetizer, these were an amazing combination of texture and flavor. We each got a steak for the main course, both were cooked to perfection and tender beyond anything in our recent memory. The sweet potatoes were so perfectly cooked in seasoned. They were easily consumed using only a fork. We followed up with banana pudding and bread pudding. Both were out of this world. It's unusual to get banana pudding that's made in house and not some flavored glue out of a can. It was topped with whipped cream that actually melted, which told me it was real whipped cream. And it wasn't premade before I ordered because all the vanilla wafers both in it and around, it were crispy and delicious. The bread pudding was equally as delicious. It was dense and sweet and had a nice subtle flavor of bourbon. Even the iced tea was made in house, not from some concentrate or taken out of a soda fountain Our server Parla was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable, she made our evening a wonderful overall experience

Geeze, was I starving. I already had The Annex Bar & Grill bookmarked. You will pass by it from the south if you're headed north going through the small town of Logan, NM. They have a really colorful mineral out front and there's a gas station and a convenience shop connected to it. The temperature outside was close to 100°F and dogs were not allowed inside so I had to leave my Jeep on with the air conditioner full blast while I had it inside to order. I was met by a mostly friendly hostess, but explained I wanted to get takeout so she guided me to the bar. The bartender took my order and encouraged me to buy a drink next-door in the convenience shop as they were larger and much cheaper. She was right. I settled on the Navajo Taco (Fry bread with refried beans, hamburger, lettuce, tomato, shredded cheese, smothered in your choice of sauce - which I went with green sauce = $12.99). I haven't had fried bread since I lived in Colorado and I had a Navajo apartment roommate. This large concoction was absolutely savory, fresh, and hot - and because it didn't have onions, I shared with my dog. She was very happy to do so! We drove down to the lake for a backseat picnic. This place is filled with locals, stopping in at midday on a Friday for a drink and gossip. I'd be interested to have a cocktail and maybe some brisket chili or more fry bread someday. Wide variety of seating arrangements. Very tall ceilings. Outdoor dining available too. So glad my order came out so quickly.
