John is the best teacher I've come across in a long time. I was not looking for a complete swing…read moreoverhaul, just a couple of tweeks. After 15 minutes with John, I was back in business. I know I have to practice and work on the tweek that John suggested. I will be taking a series of lessons with John and hope to get my handicap back to 5 from the 10 it is now. My first 2 rounds after seeing John, I shot 77 in each round. If you are serious about getting better, I strongly urge you to go see John. I've been playing golf for 42 years and have seen several coaches over the years, I am very happy to have John as my coach and I know I'm on my way to better golf! Thanks John!

The girl at the front counter was so rude for no reason. I was kind and pleasant to her. She never looked up from whatever she was doing. Mumbled as she spoke. And it wasn't just a one-off. She did this on both of my visits (Monday and Thursday). Also, the starters were rude. One of them yelled at my father-in-law because he was told to start by one of the cart boys because the starter wasn't at his station. Seemed like he was high as a kite or lost. The two stars are for the course and because I enjoyed playing, otherwise it would be a 1-star review. You will have a better time if you can avoid interacting with the staff as much as possible.

Since then, my game has improved dramatically. I also started playing the course regularly, and it's been a great experience. The greens are immaculate and roll true, the design is very well thought out, and everyone I've come across--from staff to members--has been down-to-earth and easy to talk to. My expectations were pretty low, but I was MORE than pleasantly surprised. The facility is immaculate! The course is one of the finest I've seen, and all the practice areas are just as well cared for. Brian, the director of instruction who was conducting the clinic, greeted us at the carts. He quickly processed my payment, then chatted with the other participants and I while we waited for a couple of others. When it was apparent they weren't coming, Brian got to work. He provided us with a folder that contained a waiver, some brochures, and some documents we could use to track our data (yardage with each club, progress putting, etc). Brian gave us a thorough explanation of what they were for and how to use them. We were provide drinks & sunscreen to keep safe & healthy. With that, we were off to the "classroom". Brian talked about how we could adjust our posture to make our swing (in putting, chipping and pitching) more consistent. Since this was a short game scoring clinic we started on the putting green. Brian gave us some technical information, then some drills to practice what he'd explained. It was similar with our work on chipping & pitching. Along the way Brian used some high tech electronic gizmos to help reinforce his teaching and to measure how far we were hitting the ball. Super helpful information for those firms he gave us earlier. Before I knew it our time was up! Normally 2 hours in Florida heat feels like an eternity, but we were having fun and learning so much the time flew by. Brian gave us some nice souvenirs and sent us on our way. He made a point to remind the class that he hoped to see us out again, or at least to let him know how we were improving. He was truly interested in helping us improve and enjoy the game more.

We had our event catered with their food options which were absolutely delicious. The charcuterie tray, wings, and meatballs were definitely a hit. While it was very hot that day, they had fans to help keep us comfortable. The staff was absolutely phenomenal. They were super attentive and on top of our rather large group. He offered another salad but at that point I was a little turned off. Other that mishap we had a great time playing and everything else. And the staff was definitely nice. It's nothing that would stop be from going back, just wouldn't get a salad from there again.

The resort was easy to navigate, and there were no shortages of dining options. The room was gorgeous and had some thoughtful touches that I appreciated, including pillow spray, a clothes steamer, and even a weighted blanket. It's the little things that make a work trip feel a bit more like a vacation. My biggest complaint? The gym was about the size of my thumbnail. Thankfully, it still managed to squeeze in everything I needed for a solid workout, so I can't complain too much. The conference food was good, though nothing particularly memorable. The late-night food offerings, however, were a welcome surprise and definitely earned bonus points. This is a fantastic property for hosting large corporate meetings and events. The staff was friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. They did have to move some activities indoors due to weather, but everything seemed to be handled smoothly. Overall, a great resort that balances business and leisure well.

Check-in/out was very easy, my room was clean, nice and spacious, with a beautiful view. The bar and pool area is huge and so much fun! We all had a blast and really enjoyed each others company down at the pool bar. If I had one thing to note I wished were better, most of the nights there was only 1 bartender at the pool bar, and with our large conference and also probably other guests out there, it was hard to get service. But that guy was working amazingly so it wasn't him, he just couldn't be in multiple places at once! Was pleasantly surprised at how much of a hit the lay river was with us, but we had a blast! Lastly, the party that was put together by the staff was 10/10! Really do appreciate all the hardwork and how much fun we had! Wish I'd thought to take pictures, but I guess I was too busy enjoying myself!
