This office is sold to a corporation that manages all the fees and all the policies of the office that are centered around making you broke. Radiation oncology was a recommendation from our medical oncologist to minimize the pain that my dog was going through with her osteosarcoma (bone cancer). Veterinary Radiation Oncology of the Chesapeake (VROC) was amazing to work with. We called around some other places previously and no one was able to get her in as soon as we wanted. VROC had the closest appointment which was 2 weeks out so we booked it. They were great about following up and gave us a call when someone else had canceled so we were able to move her appointment up. The staff communicated well, provided timely updates, and took very good care of my dog. Dr. Buchanan took her time to explain to us the different treatment plans and was very realistic about what the therapy would do for our dog. We ended up going with a CT scan and palliative radiation for our girl, which was 2 days back to back. Everyone here was so friendly and compassionate. You could tell they really cared about each and every one of their pet patients.

To treat her with kindness and to make us feel better, without asking or anything, they took her, wrapped in her favorite blanket and told us they'd wash it and return it when we picked her up. That's a level of service and compassion that you don't find anywhere. When I picked her up, sure enough, there was her clean blanket, her paw prints, her paw cast, a clipping of fur, and her urn. The price is very reasonable, we didn't feel any upsell pressure, and at risk of being a broken record, unmatched kindness and compassion. I seriously thought I was stuck with this defective dog! I own Grooming By Em and am constantly busy making doggies and kitties look their best. I just didn't have the time to leave my shop, drive to a dog training facility with my badness of a dog, worry about my Cricket getting car sick, train for an hour and then have to get back to work. Jo made it so simple, she came to me. Our first training session went well. Cricket is very smart and responded greatly to the clicker training (she loves cheese). It felt that at the end of every class she had showed tremendous improvement. Aside from basic commands, Jo worked with Cricket on her severe shyness/fear of people. Although my furry baby loooooooved dogs, she was not cool with humans, including me. In fact, Cricket showed no love or affection towards me and I had never had this issue with a pet before. Cricket is now 9 months old. While she is still a brat, she is a completely different dog. I enjoy her company, she listens to me and most of all she LOVES me. I'm not really sure what I would have done if Jo had not been my night and shining armor. Clicker Savvy Canines is the best and the training was worth every penny!
