Our 4 year old is always super happy at this camp. Ashley and the counselors are kind and caring and we feel safe sending our kiddo here!

Extremely Disappointed - Do Not Send Your Kids Here…read more My son attended Camp Keystone last summer and loved it, so we were excited for him to return. Unfortunately, this year has been a completely different--and deeply upsetting--experience. At pickup, my 6-year-old was in tears and told me that a 13-year-old Counselor in Training yelled at him that he was "tired of him" and then threw him to the ground. Yes, my son had thrown a piece of chalk--something we've addressed and made clear was wrong--but the violent and aggressive response from an older child in a leadership role is completely unacceptable. Worse, there was no adult supervision when this happened, and no camp staff informed us. We only found out from our son. When I contacted the camp, they minimized the incident and failed to take any real accountability. The 13-year-old was not dismissed, and in fact, is being allowed to remain in the Counselor in Training program and return next summer to supervise other children. The camp's own Code of Conduct says it will not tolerate violence--but they are clearly not following through. This was not just a kid-to-kid disagreement. This was a teenager in a position of responsibility physically assaulting a child half his age. If Camp Keystone does not take this seriously, parents should. I can no longer recommend this camp to anyone. There is a complete lack of oversight, accountability, and concern for camper safety. We will not be returning, and I urge other parents to think twice before sending their children here.

My kids loved it so much Maybe more like daycare vs true…read morecamp but very well executed lots of playing toys and special events every Wednesday (bounce house, reptile petting etc) and the staff is actually rly sweet. They go to the pool every afternoon also (pack $ for your child to buy snacks there!). The hours are long we paid for full day but didn't do it but they honeslty would have stayed and the staff keep them out of the Sun whcih helps. They are basically outdoors but in shaded areas and the indoor area is all open. It's adorable and for my kids it was rly nice to make friends outside malibu and just be exposed to some different people it's a mixed group of people from the area which is rly nice

I do not do well with threats so I got my lawyer involved. But if your kids liked being in a hot, stuffy, dirty room with no windows or AC or playing on a hot playground all day coming back dirty, drenched in sweat, bright red, with all their belongings missing then this is for you. Also, people send their kids here sick and was part of the reason my kids were always getting deathly ill. It's literally child endangerment. Read the other ladies review as well shes not wrong!

We absolutely love Cali Camp!…read more I have two boys, and both have had an amazing experience there. My older son loved it so much that he is now becoming a Junior Leader, which says everything about how meaningful Cali Camp has been for him. My younger son, who is in 2nd grade, went for the first time last year and is already so excited to go back. What really stood out to me was how quickly they both adapted. My younger son joined not knowing anyone and felt welcomed almost immediately. Both of my boys felt included from day one. The staff is incredibly caring, supportive, and attentive. You can truly feel that they work hard to create a safe, joyful environment for the kids, and as a parent that means everything. The activities are fantastic: well planned, age appropriate, engaging, and fun. The natural setting is also beautiful and feels especially important these days. My boys came home with confidence, stories, friendships, and summer memories they will cherish forever. And the camp spirit is real. We still sing the silly songs at home, especially the announcements song whenever we have a family announcement, and the birthday song too. I cannot recommend Cali Camp enough. It has been such a special part of our family's life.

My son has attended Kids in Motion summer camp for 5 years. He's a fifth grader now and already…read morethe thing he is most excited about is attending Coach Russell's camp with his friends! He is counting the years until he will be eligible to be a CIT. When I asked my son why he likes Coach Russell and Kids in Motion so much he said "it is the best camp because there is something for everyone and everyone is included. If you like sports and games there are lots to play. If you want to do art or trading cards you can also do those activities." While my son didn't use the word inclusive, I think what he was getting at and what I have seen is that Coach Russell and his exceptional staff create such a sense of inclusivity, of excitement and of belonging among their campers and within the community. Other things my son (and I!) love about camp--there's a super great variety of activities each day including water slides and other fun adventures. Kids are grouped very thoughtfully by age/grade level into groups so there's not a big range of ages. It feels very safe and secure to me as a parent but kids also get a chance to meet other kids who are similar in terms of age. We always run into Coach Russell camp campers around town after the summer is over! On a more practical note, Coach Russell is also extremely responsive to email, extremely organized and great at communication! If you're looking for a day camp opportunity in the Conejo Valley Kids in Motion is just the best!
