This is a nice size store with reasonably priced jewelry, art, photos, crafts and knick knacks. I came away with a cute pair of earrings and a photo taken by a local artist as well as some small chimes to give as gifts. It sits in the furthest back part of the Monteray Plaza, so the shop could be hard to spot unless you were looking for it. This is definitely worth a stop if you want to browse for something other than the typical touristy destinations. Friendly service too!

It was not a problem getting us in to paint some items. We had an impromptu date here, and I would also say that this was one of the nicer ways to spend a Saturday afternoon that we had found. The process is pretty simple. Check in with the front desk they have you pick out a piece too please assign a table and then explain the process of how to wait on Keys to get the best result. They take care of everything after you are done applying the number of coats that you want on your item and you return after a few days to pick up. It's very simple and you can take your time. There were a mix of adults and groups that involve children, but this is not a place that I would bring very young children unsupervised or without high-level supervision. Price pay on most of the pieces to paint is around $30 and up. You can do a smaller item like an ornament for much less but people play a coffee mug about $20-$30 for what took us several hours to complete and it was very enjoyable time. Parking is available if you go around the block there is parking behind the "house". There's also street parking available on the side streets if that is filled. .

There are a lot of pieces to choose from, from figurines to dishware to ornaments. There are also plenty of colors to choose from. For first-timers, I wish there were more instructions given on adding layers of paint to make sure the color comes through. We were given that instruction as a heads up when we finished. Luckily, we did enough layers. After painting, the wait is usually a few days before they give you a call that your piece is ready for pick up. She also mentioned everything is handmade, mostly by her, or by other local artists. She had some really cute items inside and some great things as gifts for family or friends if you have an upcoming birthday or special event to celebrate. Most of the items in here were not my style (more simplistic) and the shop is smaller than some of the others but it's worth a gander if you're walking around and nearby.
