Basically you select a project, pay for it and then you stain, paint, etc. the project, which takes 2-3 hours depending on how complicated it is. They also offer classes that you can sign up for. For my project, I chose to make a wooden tray. I had to assemble the tray, stain it and then add the stencil to complete it. The final step is attaching handles. You end up with a custom shabby chic or whatever style you prefer, so it's really customizable. The cost of the tray is $85. I will definitely be back and I want to bring my daughter. Unlike painting pottery, you leave with your project and the satisfaction of having created something beautiful and unique to you.

Paint On Pottery is a great activity to do with your friends. We get a small group of 3-4 together…read more(the size of the tables) and paint while catching up. There are a lot of pieces to choose from, from figurines to dishware to ornaments. There are also plenty of colors to choose from. For first-timers, I wish there were more instructions given on adding layers of paint to make sure the color comes through. We were given that instruction as a heads up when we finished. Luckily, we did enough layers. After painting, the wait is usually a few days before they give you a call that your piece is ready for pick up.
