Originally, we planned to have just a ceremony - there was no way I thought I could plan a full wedding in one month. But that quickly changed, and somehow we ended up planning both a ceremony and reception in just a week and a half. Crazy, right? The reason? I completely fell in love with this place. It was the first venue we toured and the last. From the start, Brian worked his magic and made us feel 100% confident in our decision. They truly meant it when they say they take care of everything. Inez was absolutely amazing. She brought my vision to life beautifully. I simply shared my ideas and details, and she handled the rest flawlessly. The food was incredible (Enrique) . The photos (Steven) and video (Rocky) were stunning. Everything about the day felt magical, and I still can't stop thinking about it. We decided to get married in Feb because it was more affordable for us and woah did I make the best decision. It can be risky because of rain and snow, however when the stars aligned you get magic! We got rain and snow a week before our wedding and we got a beautiful backdrop of the snowy mountains! The weather was perfection, sunny at 60 degs. The venue is a full package deal! It includes DJ, cake, food, staff, table set up, and some flowers! They even have a piano included. You can also remove items if you rather choose a different vendors. They are paired with citrus blossom as preferred vendor and I 100% recommend her cake! DJ Kevro was awesome! They host an annual open house to meet the vendors and really get a feel what your wedding may feel like! I highly recommend making it to this event once you book! You do not want to miss this because you also win prices! These vendors are giving out generous prices! The staff were lovely to work with. I was in constant communication with Stacy and she was so helpful! Laura was our wedding manager and she was attentive to detail and I throughly enjoyed our final walk through with her. On the wedding day, she managed all the vendors and food and made sure everything moved smoothly. We were lucky to have our wedding assistance Andrew and Carolyn to be with bride and groom the entire day! I would have been lost without them! I heard from the boys that she sewed one of their buttons! She held my flowers and dress train when I was tired. She helped me use the restroom!! She even spoke up for me when my videographer was not listening to me! Andrew made sure we had time to eat during dinner and helped the boys in anything they needed! We were all outdoors the whole ceremony and reception from day to night, and the candlelit-type lighting was absolutely gorgeous. We were late coming here but got to find a spot easily!! Staff even let us go in their golf carts that transported us through the path. I will start this review off by saying…read morethat I photograph weddings, so having a gorgeous scenic spot to marry my boyfriend/fiancé of 11 years was the #1 on our list and The Pond (+ the overcast weather haha) DELIVERED. And the #2 thing on the list was having a variety of backdrops to photograph against which we also found here no question. We first toured The Pond and met with Bonnie (the owner) back in September 2022. We had already toured 5 other venues and this ended up being our second to last tour and last day of touring. The second I stepped on the premise I knew we had found our place. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, breathtaking, and well taken care of. The pond is also full of bright koi fish and other cute little friends like ducks walk around. I felt like we were already late in booking a 2023 date, but to our luck they had May 5, 2023 open which was also 11th anniversary! Easy and done. This hidden gem venue has charm and is the most unique and scenic venue I've ever been to. The main selling points for us in addition to the views were: 1. Full Bridal and Groom houses to relax and get ready in. We each had 8 bridesmaids and groomsmen + our family so it was very important to us that we could find a place that could accommodate our large party to get ready in. They also have separate parking for the wedding party right next to the Bridal/Groom houses and another larger parking lot for guests which is also free for them 2. Fun and unique areas for all of our guests to spread out and explore. Including the gazebo overlooking the pond, fire pit (for s'mores), and cove underneath the gazebo to experience a waterfall. There was also a ton of space for all our vendors to set up including a Boba Table and Photobooth 3. Affordable price that included 1 hour rehearsal the day before, 10 hours on the premise for the wedding, and our package also included the DJ and Bartender team. This was great because those vendors are already used to working with Bonnie's team and DJ Richie killed our lighting throughout the venue as well! They also set up heat lamps for us when it got colder at night 4. DIY everything! I have been looking forward to planning my wedding my whole life and had a lot of decoration and vendor ideas. Bonnie and our Coordinator team (YourDayYourWay) helped make all our ideas and plans come to life and were gracious about accommodating everything we asked for including keeping the sails down in the ceremony space for our photos, letting us do special cups for boba, and letting us choose our catering (5 Elementos Food Truck). The whole event was 100% customized by us and this was so cool since I know a lot of venues have strict rules they never bend. And for anyone who may be deterred reading this because they don't want to DIY everything, I promise the venue still looks great just as it is even without all the extra stuff. Seriously! 5. They allow sparkler exits! Also, the lodge booking comes with all the greatest vendors: For our photographer we had James Tang and he is beyond incredible. He is so energetic and goes above and beyond to get the perfect picture. Our DJ was booked through Lakeside DJ with Frank. He was the best DJ we could have asked for. I highly recommend booking with him as well. Also, Fox in the Woods catering's food is to die for. The brisket melts in your mouth and the potatoes are delicious. There was some rain on the way up which delayed us, and so we got started late. We gave her our paperwork and she took quite a long time to sign then insisted on a rehearsal even though we should have started 30 minutes before. The space is so small that really, no rehearsal was necessary. She also told us to take all the time we needed for pictures then came back 30 minutes later to kick us out. (So odd!) The wedding was beautiful, and that is all that matters. I just wish I had been informed about the timeline after instead of the back and forth. Keep in mind there is no bathroom on-site so use the Starbucks before you and your guests get there. Our 1920s wedding was beautiful and special and I appreciate that Reverend Carline took the time to make sure our Vows were exactly what we wanted. It was very special to join together as a family officially. While we had 10 guests, the space could have fit approximately 20 inside if you don't mind sitting shoulder to shoulder.
