Awsome store with a huge selection of shoes for adults and kids. Staff was super friendly to me and my family.

JCPenney is a decent place to shop. They have good prices on most of their items along with steady…read morediscounts and coupon offers that the company promotes. I shop here primarily to purchase athletic apparel and housewares. I occasionally stop by the Sephora but I often find better selections and prices from Belk instead. Sometimes it takes a while to check out due to low staffing but I still find myself coming back from time to time.

Was it my imagination or is JCPenney still doing the ancient "sit down in the shoe dept. and wait…read moreuntil someone feels like bringing you shoes to try on" method of selling shoes? Oh, except for the athletic shoes. Those you can browse, try on and buy without having to wait for a drone to decide you're worthy of spending your money on mostly cheaply-constructed shoes. And the small section of shoes they've put on clearance because they haven't been able to unload them on any unsuspecting customers for full price. I have never liked that type of shoe store/dept.; not even when I was young and small enough to actually need help getting fitted for shoes. If a drone is having a bad day or decides he/she doesn't like your face/clothes/bag/shoes you're already wearing, you may never get to try on shoes. It's an outdated, archaic, unnecessary, unfriendly setup, IMO. FWIW, I went into that store today, looked to see if they even had the shoe I was interested in on display. Didn't see it, nobody asked me if they could help me. Guess what? I left, disgusted, and will NOT be back. I'd sooner pay Zappos outrageously inflated prices than deal with that store again.
