It's probably more expensive than most of the bars in the area, but I've been here a number of times and enjoyed the fact that if feels like a pub. Since I went here a number of times, I've ordered a number of their dishes. Really enjoyed their wings, fish and chips and chili. Their bangers and mash, irish stew and ribs weren't that great. Liked the staff here and this place also takes credit cards, which I thought was really convenient.

As far as a restaurant in a hotel, great prices and the food is way above par. As a restaurant you…read morego to when you're not new in town and have a car to go elsewhere, it's fine. Pros: * it's an Irish pub and it looks like an Irish pub. Not that I've been to Ireland but I have been to a pub owned by an Irishman (close enough, maybe??) * the menu sticks to the theme. They didn't throw in chicken nuggets like some other ethnic places do * large outdoor patio with no street noise * live music Cons: * flavor was lacking. I had fish and chips. Tasted like the Gordon's Fisherman was working in the back. Don't get me wrong, the guy makes good filets but I expect more from a restaurant than a box. * surprisingly decent pricing from a hotel restaurant. Pitchers of beer were 13.90€ and my plate was 8.50€. * no kids menu...pro for us that night but a lot of families stay at this hotel and no accommodations for the wee ones at this eatery. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back but if I were across the street seeing Momma Mia! or Tarzan, I would definitely try it out again.

We remember seeing this Irish Pub on our way to Sembach and decided to stop off for dinner. I LOVE the atmosphere of this Irish Pub/restaurant!!! It was just cold enough outside that they had a small fire going which filled the room with a nice wood smoke aroma which added to the atmosphere of an old Irish pub. There were a couple people sitting at the bar and 2 or three at some tables eating. The place was basically empty but looked like it could definitely support some drunken fun. :) I orded a Guiness and the Fish & Chips with mushy peas... Duh.. its an Irish Pub!!! The Guinness was at perfect temperature and went down VERY smooth!!! The Fish was a HUGE piece of Cod which was lightly battered and perfectly cooked... it was AWESOME!! The peas had a smoked hock taste and seasoned to perfection... i almost asked for another bowl. Great food, great irish pub atmosphere... If you are ever in the area and want some authentic Irish food and beer... The Irish House is the place to go!!!
