we went on Thursday which is burger night. the Galway Burger was a delicious feast. the mrs had the truffle burger and finished it off.

After a long day working on Daenner Kaserne, a coworker and I was looking for a place to sit down, have a beer and some food and just relax. We remember seeing this Irish Pub on our way to Sembach and decided to stop off for dinner. I LOVE the atmosphere of this Irish Pub/restaurant!!! It was just cold enough outside that they had a small fire going which filled the room with a nice wood smoke aroma which added to the atmosphere of an old Irish pub. There were a couple people sitting at the bar and 2 or three at some tables eating. The place was basically empty but looked like it could definitely support some drunken fun. :) I orded a Guiness and the Fish & Chips with mushy peas... Duh.. its an Irish Pub!!! The Guinness was at perfect temperature and went down VERY smooth!!! The Fish was a HUGE piece of Cod which was lightly battered and perfectly cooked... it was AWESOME!! The peas had a smoked hock taste and seasoned to perfection... i almost asked for another bowl. Great food, great irish pub atmosphere... If you are ever in the area and want some authentic Irish food and beer... The Irish House is the place to go!!! read more

My husband and I love Irish food and this place was phenomenal in one weekend we have eaten there twice! There shepards pie is awesome! Their beer battered fish and French fries are the best around! To top it all our their custom service was awesome the workers and owner was awesome! No complaints here and look forward to coming back! read more

This time, we went around 7:30, hoping that the food would be better than how it was last time. We both ordered the same food, but made a mistake of letting them know how horrible it was last time. I didn't want them to actually try to make it better. I wanted to see if it would be good no matter what we say about the food we had there last time. The food was great. It was properly heated, fried and served. The server lady/bartender was courteous and very kind. I would have given four stars, but their black and tan wasn't what I would call black and tan. Other than that, it was better than the last time. read more

A solid 3.5. This is the second time I've eaten here. The Shepherd's Pie was good (and consistent). I had the Kitchen Special this time- a grill plate of ribs and BBQ wings. Was pleasantly surprised. Both were decently sized and not overly fatty. The music venue here is very good and is smoke-free. Two levels overlook g the stage with bars on both. Very good Shepherds pie. The main room is very smokey, only thing I didn't like. The chips are seasoned with sea salt, yum! The fish batter was nice and light with a hint of lemon and the fish itself had no seasoning. Definitely a good place for traditional Shepherd's pie!! read more

I have been able to enjoy the occasional Fish and chips and I can say the price is right. The food was fantastic. I don't normally go there for the food. Besides being a restaurant and bar it is also a live music venue. I have had the pleasure of attending a few events there and it is very big and impressive. If you go there for a night out you will have great bartenders, great entertainment, and great memories at a great price. Have fun and support your local music scene. read more
