The owner came outside as I was on a medical call and could not get off the phone, I didn't want to be there but had to pull over given it's illegal to drive and be on phone, I nicely told him the situation and the owner proceeded to harass, knock on my car and flip me off for over 5 min with my child in the car while I'm dealing with a medical emergency after I told him I can't drive yet, this also was Thanksgiving Eve - the blatant harassment and vulgar behavior should never occur, he had parking spaces for other customers and needs mental help- I highly suggest to not support this owner or this store since he doesn't care about selling but instead harassing woman. If I were a man he wouldn't dare do that. read more

The Austinite Market has become a part of our morning routine and I'm so thankful it's right next to my home. Every morning we walk to the park across the street and very rarely do we skip our stop at our favorite bodega. The customer service is always above and beyond- I'm always in tow with a bulky nuna baby stroller and get helped coming in and out. The aisles are wide enough to accommodate us and my baby loves greeting the manager every morning. Major plus- they serve taco deli breakfast tacos!! (And they carry the salsa too!) We've also had to run in for a few random things and have never had a problem finding what we need. Forget your kids playground snack? They have some great healthy options! We're big fans of grabbing some applesauce pouches. The personal and friendly customer service has never been topped for Us. We love coming in and having a morning chat before hitting the town lake trails. Almost forgot- they accept Apple Pay! Which I love- I hate carrying my wallet lol read more

Only problem is customer service.  Odds are good you'll get an employee with an attitude problem.  I came in once with a Too Good To Go order and was given a hard time. The employee was annoyed with me and actually told me that he couldn't help me so I should leave. So, go here to get the items you need, but know you're rolling the dice on how you will be treated. read more

I live a short 5 minute walk from Austinite and frequent it maybe every other day. Great, convenient location near Terry Blacks and Butler Metro Park. Typically, they have a lot of high-quality products from local businesses. I've never had a problem with expired products or stocking. Austinite is pretty reliable. Service is generally good and efficient. read more

I've been coming to this connivence store for years, but recently they came under new ownership and the changes have been AMAZING. They've completely redone the inside and it looks so great, so clean, and so fresh. They have a new walk-in cooler and they vastly expanded their wine selection. And to top it off, they now serve Taco Deli breakfast tacos every morning. The customer service is awesome and all they guys working there are badass and so friendly. They're about to start updating the outside appearance, but this truly is a lovely hidden gem in the barton springs/ bouldin creek area. My favorite go to place for all of the items, especially when i forget to bring food with me to work. They have taco deli tacos every morning which are my favorite. My real absolute favorite though is the manager. He continuously brightens my days and is so caring and compassionate. I love coming here for snacks and breakfast and even more so i really love to say hi to my favorite manager. If you need anything ever ranging from snacks, to coffee, to alcohol the austinite market is definitely the best place to go! Couldn't recommend it more if i had to. :) read more

Don't ever go to this place. The owners are rude and the store is dirty. I pass this store everyday on my way back home after riding the Greenbelt on my bike. I have attempted to purchase a Gatorade or bottled water from the store but the owner always screams at me and says $5.00 minimum. Since I am on my bike, I only carry my debit card. I have offered to use it as a debit card and enter my PIN which means the store will pay ZERO in merchant fees but she says I'm wrong and that I have to purchase $5.00. Since I am on my bike I am not purchasing anything additional. Oh well, they have probably lost out on a couple of hundred dollars in sales since I pass by every day and they are the first convenience store on my route. In addition to this, the coolers are not cold and the place is very dirty. Since you're on Barton Springs in between S Lamar and S 1st, you have plenty of other friendly, clean options. Keep going to the next store and you will be glad you did. read more

Austinite market is a great addition to the Bouldin neighborhood. Turned a worn out store into a very nice clean local market. They are stocked with local products and standard items everyone needs. New ownership- the beer selection has been much improved and the space is cleaner and redone. Love the murals. In stopping in a few times I definitely haven't gotten much friendly treatment- tried making small talk and asked about the renovation and the guy wasn't having any of it "I don't know- I just work here". Great store. The new owners have really cleaned up the place. Also the selection of products has exploded. No longer just cheap beer. A wide variety on craft beers, local brews and snacks. I truly LOVE this amazing little hidden gem of a market I live in the area and having new management take over has done wonders. This is a true neighborhood market. All employees are kind in their service, keep the space clean, and the owner makes a point to notice what products customers like - even asking us to let them know if we want more of something so he can get it ordered and on the shelves. They offer local food and drinks, everyday household products of various preferences, a wide range of selections for everyone to enjoy in convenience. I used to go here only when I had to, mainly because it's close to my house and the beer wasn't going to swing by and pick itself up. Now, with the new ownership (awesome guys), I shop here because I love it. It's like a new store, and they've brought in a lot more locally made products. A shout-out to The Texas Popcorn Company, whose pecan-caramel popcorn is my newest addiction. Oh, and their Taco Deli breakfast tacos help me face the day with a full and happy belly. This place is horrendous. I was in a very big hurry to pick up some water for clients, 95 degrees outside and wearing a suit! Went in to buy 6 large bottles of SmartWater for $15, paid with credit card as I did not have cash. Asked for a plastic bag and the lady demands 50 c. Which is cool but I didnt bring my wallet just card, so I explain that to her but she just says no and does not care that I just bought 6 large bottles of water and can't really walk with them back to the office. The lady behind me who was visibly distraught by the cashier/owners arrogance helps me out with 30 c. Which is all she had, and the rude cashier still denies me a PLASTIC bag. The kind woman was so annoyed she left and almost forgot her card at the counter. Luckily another man had 20c to spare so I ended up getting it but for real, it was a plastic bag to help me hold the items I just PURCHASED. It wasn't like I was 50 c short on buying a product. How hard is it to spare a plastic bag at a store? I'm a big fan of pay it forward and do a lot of charitable and altruistic work but this just really ruined my day and was so damn rude.
