I showed her where it was and she said you can try to order it wont be 50 percent off it's our first year doing it. Um. Right. Pretty sure I could have just ordered online whatever I get back in line she wants to cash me out again. Making weird comments about my daughter then hands me a clear shopping bag while everyone gets a nice little miss muffin bag so so so bizarre yuck if you're hostile about doing sales don't have them horrible customer service I also heard some employee fighting with someone else. Placed an order for…read moreseveral items for local pickup, it came up 50% off and was supposed to be available the next day. Received a confirmation on my order. Five days later I finally get a not so warm and fuzzy email telling me the 50% off was limited to three items and I needed to tell them which ones I wanted the discount on or they would select for me out of whatever inventory they have left. What???? I didn't apply the discount. They did! Whatever you have left, you'll pick? And charge me full price for everything else or not process it? If your website can keep up with your inventory or a sale you are running maybe your sale needs to be in store only. Sorry you screwed up. All I did was place a very large order I will no longer be purchasing. I requested cancellation. I also needed several of the items for a baby shower that had passed by the time you emailed me. I didn't even know about your sale or any limit. And by the way, sale items are not returnable.

I know even less about baby clothes than I do about baby gear, so I'm afraid this review will not be lenghty like "War & Peace". I don't know many name brands but I do recall two in particular, although there are many more. The first brand being Aden & Anais, which seemed to specialize in bibs and towels. The second brand, Feltman Brothers, deserves a little recognition, as they have been in business for nealry 100 years and all their clothes are hand sewn and "exquisitely" hand embroidered. Feltman clothes are what I'd call "Sunday Best" for kids. For all you guys out there, there is a New Orleans section as soon as you walk in the door that features Saints gear and LSU gear for infants through toddlers. There is also a small contingent of Tulane gear for the uptown crowd. All in all, this is a really cool store if you need kids clothes, you don't mind paying for premium merchandise and you like personalized attention.

Living in the Lakeview area, I'm not sure how my wife stumbled onto Haase's Shoe Store, but I'm glad she did, as this is definitely our new go-to spot for kid's shoes. Located on Oak street just off of S. Carrollton, the exterior façade looks like it was taken right out of the 1960's; and I like that a lot. Founded in 1921 as Haase's Shoe Store and Young Folks Shop, they have 100 years of experience, and it shows. As I walked towards the store, I was immediately reminded of a Norman Rockwell painting, but I digress. Upon walking in, I was very courteously greeted by Mr. Kevin Caliva who, after asking what he could help us with, measured my sons feet and showed us what he had in stock. He was the consummate professional (no AL Bundy here) and treated us like we were the only people in the store, which we definitely were not. They had an incredible selection of kids' shoes. Not only did they have a large selection of tennis shoes, but they also carried boots, first walkers, casual shoes, infant crib shoes, loafers, moccasins, Oxfords, rain boots, slipper, sandals, lots of Velcro shoes up to size 5 and a huge assortment of kids school shoes. In fact, their section of solid black sneakers for school use was the most diverse I've ever seen in ANY shoe store. Haase's also sells clothing, some school uniforms, accessories and does monogramming. They even sell gift cards, which I think would be a big hit, as this store is phenomenal. We left the store with a brand new pair of Asics for my son. Kevin took my contact information, as we wanted another pair of shoes that he didn't currently have in stock. However, we are going to gladly wait for a new shipment, as this is now our go-to store shoe store for our son! I can't recommend this place enough!
