    Fries

I had a wonderful lunch here with a friend of mine. We sat on the patio and it was lovely. I got the Nashville Chicken Sandwich with fries ($20). It wasn't too spicy. I would say on the milder side of medium. The chicken was a lean chicken breast that was battered and deep-fried. The cabbage added a nice crunch to the sandwich. I felt the pickles were a bit too thickly sliced, but I still enjoyed them. There was too much mayo for my tastes. I should have asked them to go easy on the mayo. The bun was fresh. I appreciated that it was plain and had no pesky seeds. The sandwich was fairly large. The fries were crispy and very tasty. I like that they were fresh cut fries and not from frozen. My friend got the Southwest Chicken Salad, which comes with avocado. However, she doesn't like avocados and asked me if I did. Oh I love avocados! So she asked to have the avocado on the side and kindly gave it to me. It was half an avocado, sliced, and served in a ramekin. It was perfectly ripe and not blemished at all. Service was attentive but not intrusive. My friend and I hadn't seen each other for a long time so we had a lot of catching up to do and our server definitely gave us the time and space. He was also knowledgeable about the menu, which I appreciated, since I had a few questions. We ate on the patio. The patio overlooks the parking lot, but the lot is not busy, so the ambiance is not bad. They have a few tables under umbrellas if you prefer shade and some without umbrellas if you prefer sun. Lots of free parking in the plaza parking lot.

The bad alibi. Will feed a family of four.

Probably the best breakfast value in Canada. I got the bad alibi and could not finish it. Great food and good service. Clean, quiet and quick. Give it a try.

The food was amazing! The halloumi sticks are very good. Service was even better, they went above and beyond for my husband who can't have gluten. Their gluten free buns are the best he's had! Whenever in the area, I'm sure we'll be back!

Good good. Service. But noisy. There is a band by the bar. Sit in tables away if you want conversation.

The gluten free fish and chips were even better than the beer battered, which was excellent.

TL;DR: Cute shop in Orleans selling salads, rolled ice cream, crepes and bubble tea. Signature…read moreSalad was good. I enjoyed the sweet salad dressing. I stopped by Sweet n Salad to grab a salad for lunch on the way to my parents' house (they were craving Chinese food, so I grabbed some combos for them elsewhere, but I was looking for something lighter and less greasy for myself, lol). I got the Signature Salad ($15.99), but substituted the pomegranate seeds with cucumbers. The salad comes with mixed greens, quinoa, grape tomatoes, feta cheese, chicken, pumpkin seeds and Italian seasonings sprinkled on top. I asked for the dressing on the side. The default dressing is their Signature dressing, which I can best describe as a light sweet dressing. I loved that it was on the watery side and was neither too oily nor too creamy/rich. I only used about a sixth of it, but saved the rest to use on my own salads ;) The vegetables were for the most part fresh. Although a few of the lettuce pieces were browning. The chicken was lean breast meat cut into cubes. All the salad ingredients are prepped and ready and they just assemble the ingredients when you order it. There are preset salads or you can create your own with the ingredients they have. Overall the salad was tasty and the portion size was good. The price was a bit high in my opinion, but everything seems to be expensive these days. It's definitely convenient, and there aren't many places in Orleans to get quick meals that aren't greasy or deep-fried, lol. It's one of the healthier options. I'm looking forward to bringing my nieces here to try their rolled ice cream. The restaurant has some seats to dine in, but there's no table service. You order, they assemble your food, you pay, and if you want to eat in, you seat yourself and cleanup after yourself. There are a few tables outside in front of the restaurant too if you want to eat outdoors. The restaurant is in a plaza so there's lots of free parking in the plaza parking lot. (140)
