The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and full of character--something you just don't find everywhere these days. The craftsmanship here is top-notch. Whether you're going in for a simple trim or a full transformation, the attention to detail and pride in the work truly stand out. You can tell there's a deep-rooted tradition behind the chair--after all, being run by a cousin of Wyatt Earp adds a unique, almost legendary touch to the experience! Customer service is outstanding. Warren takes the time to listen, offer great suggestions, and make sure you leave feeling confident and looking your absolute best. It's rare to find a place that blends skill, history, and genuine hospitality so seamlessly. If you're anywhere near Florence, this place is an absolute must. Five stars all the way!

What a gem tucked away in the middle of downtown Florence!…read more With a high falutin' name like this, you might expect a lot of society women getting their hair did. And prices to match. But the truth in this case is a legendary find. Florence Hair Emporium is the town's barbershop. It's a blast from the past. You'll need to call before you go to set an appointment--and due to the nature of business that will probably be a call back. I found it pretty easy to get in on short notice but your mileage may vary. But do call ahead because there is no place to sit and hang out while you wait your turn. But the one block Florence downtown is chock full of places to gnosh, and you wouldn't be on Yelp if you didn't know how to do that, right? You'll be dealing directly with the proprietor because it's a one man show here. You'll get to meet the legendary Warren Earp. He's legendary for multiple reasons. One, he is indeed the direct descendant of the brother of the equally legendary Wyatt Earp. Two, he has been cutting hair since 1969 and at this location since 1982. Three, I've seldom met a finer gentleman in my life. Now I'm not going to try to tell any stories Texas Country Reporter-style, although it truly merits that treatment. It's a really non-descript little place except for the barber poles out front and a comfortable old-timey barber chair inside. You'll be greeted and treated politely here and you don't have to give many instructions to get your ears lowered perfectly. I came away from the experience with a memory for a lifetime and quite possibly the best darned haircut I've ever had - - and I've had some mighty good ones. The price is a steal. With an 81% tip, I only said goodbye to a Jackson. Will I be back? Heck yeah! And I'll be back even sooner because I can get two of these haircuts for what I was paying in the big city. But most of all I just like Mr Earp and I want to support him and his business all that I can. If I could give more than five stars I would because this gentleman and his business sure does deserve it.

I finally came across this shop on Yelp and I am so grateful to have something so close and the best barber service. They have four barbers and they are all excellent. I do have a favorite, but I have found they are all great. Sometimes I need my hair cut and cannot book the person I regularly go to. But they are all fantastic. Making a reservation is very easy through their website. You can try to do a "walk-in" but during the week they are usually all booked up. Saturday is only walk-in. But again, if you just visit their website, it is very easy to schedule an appointment. I am retired military so a barber cut is my preference. I tend to keep my hair short and they will cut it however you want regardless of length. And my favorite... a haircut just isn't complete without a nice neck shave! Personally, if the place doesn't do a neck shave, I think they shouldn't be called a barbershop. They are all very nice and conversational. If you are looking for the best place to get your haircut, book an appointment with them online and you won't be sorry. If you aren't sure to pick, I have gone to all four and they are all excellent. This is by far the best barbershop.

You shouldn't have any problem getting a great and timely haircut or beard trim here. I was even pleasantly surprised as I got a haircut that I haven't before and liked how it looked and felt. While the cut was great, I was disappointed for my first barbershop straight razor clean shave. Especially for the price. Although the experience was nice, I walked away with a few tiny red bumps and quite a few hairs that were missed. For $75 pre tip for the shave and haircut combo I was kicking myself for not getting the plain haircut. The chairs seem a little outdated as well , I am fairly tall and couldn't get comfortable for the duration of my appointment. I'm disappointed with the straight razor clean shave and probably won't be getting that at any barbershop again for some time. If you're looking an experienced barber and willing to pay for quality and can make an appointment online then this is the place for you.
