Hidden gem! A bit unsuspecting from the street as it is tucked away in a small shopping center, but they do not disappoint! We didn't know much about 'Capps' until a few friends mentioned the shop to us with stellar reviews of their boys' haircuts! Feeling a bit burned out on the unreliable quality of the typical children's salons, we decided to give Capps a try. My husband went first and met Wisam, who he was thoroughly impressed with. Wisam is friendly and very talented at what he does. Since then, we have taken both of our boys (4 y/o and 18m) to Wisam. He is patient with the kids and works with their comfort level while still doing an outstanding job. He has gone out of his way to make sure our youngest isn't scared of his tools, and will give our 4 y/o son his phone to watch during appointments. Abdul is apparently a "master" but I disagree... I showed up for my appointment since my other barber was out of town for the week. He asked if I could give him 5minutes, which I thought was for the bathroom. It wasn't he came back like smelling like a black and mild and smelled terrible. Then I asked for a bald fade just for him to not even make it a bald fade, nor his fade job was good at all. Had to tell him 2 times to actually fade it into the top and not look like Andrew Schulz going from a buzz to a 4... after the 2nd time I got annoyed and just left especially after he didn't get any of the neck hairs. Husband had a great hair cut, eyebrows shaped and ears de-furred this afternoon. He said the customer service was excellent and the barber rated excellent too! He could not recount his name but they had discussed that he came here from Kuwait . They greeted him and took his jacket for him and made him feel welcome. My husband said he will definitely return. The cost was $24 plus tip. It's tough to develop clientele out here in Leander. We are slow to respond to new places as it's taken such a long time for Leander to grow. I decided to take my kiddo somewhere else to fix his haircut and after seeing how much time they took to really fix his hair I decided to contact this business and ask if a refund was possible. I got a call from the owner, and she wasn't happy that I posted a negative review and didn't return to have someone correct his hair. I let her know I wasn't comfortable with that, and had already had it fixed somewhere else. She told me she'd only give me a refund if I took my review down, and I said I would be glad to give it an update. She did refund the money, but she was so abrasive and downright angry at me about the entire thing. She was really only concerned with the review and not the level of service. Do not come here. Absolute worst hair cut I've ever received and honestly disappointed, I never leave bad reviews but I have to this time. After barber being 20min late cutting my hair because he was taking his sweet time talking to the person he was with before me he decided to cut my hair as fast as possible, I timed him and he finished my hair in just under 7 min. The lady next to us cutting a guys hair was cutting his hair 15 min before me and she still was cutting his hair after I was finished. I got home to notice how lopsided and uneven and rushed my hair was, I look horrible. I can't believe I spent 32 bucks for this cut and even tipped the guy. I've never really known what "my look" was. I was always the kind of guy who just sat in the chair and left it up to the barber. Well, or at least I used to be - thanks to Champ the Barber (definitely a champ in my book), I now know a great new hairstyle that got me compliments from my friends and co-workers! Moving on to the business, the place is clean, the staff is friendly, the prices are inexpensive, and they offer a wide range of services. Overall I'm really glad they're practically right next door. I booked my appointment with Marissa at 9am. Arrived at 9:02 and they told me I'm too late for my apt with her so Constance ended up doing my hair. 2 minutes doesn't seem like a reasonable time, if I were 10min late I would understand. By the time I got there at 9:02, Marissa already had another client in her chair. Seems to me as if they double booked that time slot and just went with whoever showed up first. Extremely unprofessional but I was 2min late so I decided to give Constance a shot. Unfortunately, this haircut was not up to par. The fading is not blended. You can see exactly where she took #1, 2, and 3 and didn't blend them all together.. I also had to correct her on the sides of my head that were completely uneven. Worse haircut I've paid $25 worth. Had an appointment with Champ who seemed to be their most reputable barber. When I got there he punt me off to someone else, got on the phone with someone and said he'd take them for his next slot in 15 mins. That was dishonest. I moved here from LA not too long ago. Didn't realize finding a good barber was going to be such a struggle. Haircut I received was only okay and nothing special - no line cleaning or offering, no razor usage. A bad haircut from time to time happens, but being dishonest immediately makes it so that I can't recommend this place. read more

Sometimes you find a business that isn't just good, its also got a wonderful group of people who work there and that makes the experience perfect. That's what Cappelliera's is. I went in to get a cut and a shave and I just loved it. My hair looks great, and the conversation was awesome. I got a chance to speak with one of the owners, Gus, about the barber salon, how he came into the business, how he sees the future of Leander and everything in between. The same goes for Trust, my barber who showed me what an experience coming to get a shave could be. I even brought my three-year-old along and they were cool as could be letting her sit next to me in one of the barber's chairs and watch. I've got a good feeling about this place (they've already dropped prices within a month of opening, and they are adding new services as we speak). Got my haircut once, never went back. My barber sprayed hair spray literally right on my face, and it was intentional. He looked middle eastern, don't know if that's how they do it there, but my face was completely sticky and had to take a shower immediately when getting back home. Haircut was very decent, the experience and dullness inside turned me away for good. Go to roosters if you want to stay close to Leander area, you'll be much more happy with service last and decor. read more
