I'm posting this because I noticed a bizarre and unfair post. I was there getting a haircut the day this gentleman claims he was cursed out by the barber, given a bad haircut l, and chased to his car. That is completely false. This man was being difficult with the barber and the barber was being polite regardless. The man started raising his voice and the barber defended himself and eventually asked him to leave. I can't believe someone would lie to damage a business or a an employee. This place really does deserve it's high ratings! We've been here a few times and they consistently do a GREAT job on my boys hair. They are 5,3,2 and I always leave so pleased. This last time they really went above and beyond. We received a "free" haircut from another place and the poor guy...completely butchered my kiddos hair. They left looking like a hot mess. We went to this place the next week and they cleaned everything up quickly and with precision. They even cleaned up my 2 yo free of charge because he didn't need as much work. This place cares more about leaving early than customer service This is the second time I've arrived at least 20 minutes prior to closing only to be greeted by a locked door I noticed there was about six employees simply standing around so I knocked on the door and five minutes later a guy came to the door and said they are leaving even though it showed 5:10 on my iPhone. I explained how I drove half an hour just to get there on time but he still wouldn't let me in. I was driving down from San Francisco to LA. I always drive over the Grapevine pass on I-5 South and pass by Castaic on the way to the big city. Now I know better. If you are a guy in need of a real high-quality barbershop cut, I highly recommend this place. Very clean, three large TV's, friendly service. They finish you off with warm shaving lather, straight razor, and witch hazel to get that smooth skin on the back of your neck. Been a long time since I came here for a cut and I remembered why today. I came to cut my hair thinking they were going to do a great job and ended up highly disappointed. A persons hair is important so a word of advice would be to take your time on a cut and not worry about how many cuts you can do per hour;only pros do that. Who does their haircut during their lunch break?! RYAN DOES!! With the end of 2010 tomorrow, I might as well have a head start and show the new Ryan for 2011. I decided to get a 2-Year dream of mine..GET A MOHAWK. I can't go into details of why the Mohawk, but my dream is finally fulfilled. The location of Aldo's Barber Shop is right across the Rodeway Inn Motel and Pilot Travel Center. I believe its also close to the Taco Truck that in front of the house. I arrived around 12:05pm to Aldo's Barber Shop. I saw there was a salon connected, but no MAN goes to a salon..lol. There were only 3 people waiting ahead of me, but the barber's which I am guess one was Aldo and an associate were cutting fast, but with great quality. I don't remember who I had, but I had the one near the TV. I got my Mohawk with Double Zero on the sides. Cut took about 10 minutes, but it was the best damn 10 minutes ever. I got this Super Gel and it still feels like it was cement glue, but hey...its the new image. I thought my haircut would have a special price, but it was a simple charge of $13. I gave the rest of my change as my tip because I look better. Bolt Barbers charges high prices for Mohawks and I am glad I didn't got there. 2011 is a New Year and I hope to make new changes with my career and life. There is five barbers now! Love this place. Definitely know how to take care of their customers. They all know how to cut all hair types and I've been taking my kids here for years. Always recommending to friends and family. I would also consider coming an hour before closing time so they have time to cut your hair. I've been taking my son to the shop for a while now. He is seven years old and I've had his haircut by mostly everyone. Decent work but in my opinion that fat dude has a mean attitude he made my son cry. If you cant deal with children then clearly write it on a paper and stick it in your station to show that you do not like dealing with children. I saw him argue with a customer while he was cutting their hair. So it's obvious that he does not do very well with people. Humberto was welcoming, a good conversationalist and gave a slick cut. They end with a straight razor finish that leaves your neck smooth unlike a finish with an electric razor. Be real specific with these guys when explaining how you want your hair cut because saying for example 'just shave the sides' isn't specific enough because they're still going to cut and shave the areas you told them not to. Aldo indeed one of the best Barbar shops I've ever been to in the United states, it's located in castaic which is an outer city away from santa clarita and valencia, it's always worth for me to go and drive even though I live little far enough. Since 2 years ago I found this place through my friend and from then I been going there until now and never changed my mind to go to another Barbar shops. The new place they moved in is a very neat place that has at least 4 chairs 4 Tvs atm and more which is designed very professional, even though they only take cash but as I mentioned they do have atm inside. Even though the area doesn't have much but in the same shopping center they have a hookah lounge , smoke shop, both maxican and Chinese food. In addition to it not to mention there very neat professional haircuts that is very recommended. read more
