I rarely write reviews about places , but this place has made an impression on me for the past few years. Its best to call ahead to see how many people are ahead , he gets alot of buisness. Great for your male hair cuts and shaves. If youre looking for a new barber check him out, id even go as far as if youre a barber yourself looking to get into a shop , as long as you work consistently and dont bail on customers im sure Scott would love to add some help ​.

So I figured I'd try Scott because he was recommended by a neighbor, and I was shocked at how cheap the prices were and still are! Still, Mickey was kind and gave me a first first-class gentleman's haircut, relying mostly on scissors and less on the clippers. So they are wise to have "walk ins welcome" on their window, because sometimes they have an empty slot where they can fit in a walk in. Or the walk in will make an appointment for later since he is already at the shop. My advice to you Tom, is to either accept the business model of this establishment, or find a barber shop that is ALL walk ins. Some barber shops will have one barber accepting only walk ins, while the other barbers do appointments. But then some people become irritated walking in and finding they must wait on one barber when other barbers are finishing their patrons but need to wait on their next appointment, so they are doing nothing for a little while. Patrons like this need to just find a walk-in only barber shop. Period.

Chuck has a passion for his craft and has been making people look better for 40 years (or more...might have been 42 years). With a single chair and an appointment, there is no rush. Chuck is focused and diligent. Converses if you engage him, but is perfectly fine allowing time to pass is peace. I got the full treatment; hot towels on the face, straight razor beard lines, beard trim, shampoo, and cut. I left feeling like a million bucks. Scheduled a cut and came in explaining that I wanted more a a mullet/wolfcut with more of the volume of hair being lower and the upper portion thinner to prevent a bowl style as I explained that I didn't want a bowl cut. The barber misted my hair which didn't properly weigh it down to cut. When checking it over after the first few cuts I mentioned how the back looked very one length and that I would like it if we can make sure there's layers. That's when the barber said "yeah you won't see much difference because of the curls with layers"...... that's why I asked for long layers with the style?? I hate leaving a bad review but I quite literally got the haircut I said I didn't want and wished that the barber could've been upfront about not being able to properly cut it. Never before have I had to fix multiple parts of it myself with scissors. The first time I went I was cut by a girl who left me with uneven sideburns, but an all around acceptable cut. The second time was years later and John was my barber and messed up a simple Caesar cut so badly it is embarrassing. It is overpriced and the quality has been very bad. No idea how the owner cuts hair, but he hires people that can't cut properly. Go to Brian's barbershop or Steel Haven across the street.
