After the first year my friend left the company and we stayed with the agency. We started shopping after a few years after no one from the agency ever reached out to check on us, see if life situations changed or anything related to making sure we had proper coverage. After all this is the main reason to go with an agent and buy direct isn't it? To make sure someone else is taking care of you when you are too busy to remember things like insurance renewals and updates? We recently moved and shopped with a new agency. This new agency provided MP with an Acord to cancel our auto policies effective 7/30/2020 and it was sent on 7/23/20 @ 1:38pm. MP employee Mike Dickson never processed the paperwork and we continued to be charged for an auto policy that was supposed to be canceled. Upon learning this I reached out to MP and Mike Dickson was not available so I asked for MP directly. I explained the situation to MP and told him I was unhappy that the paperwork was never processed. MP proceeded to tell me "IF we received it....." so I stopped him and gave him the exact date and time the email was sent to Dickson. He was going down a road to relieve himself of any wrong doing and place blame on others hiding behind the excuse that they didn't receive the email. After the very specific dates and times given he responded with "IF it was filled out properly you would have the premiums refunded", again insinuating that it was someone else's fault and not their own. I aaked if it was done wrong why wouldn't Dickson say something then and not just ignore it? At this point I was annoyed and asked why he kept saying IF this or IF that when clearly the form was sent, received, filled out properly, signed by my wife and no one in his office ever processed the paperwork. He should just assume some responsibility, apologize for the headache and make me whole again. He proceeded to get loud and we finally just started cursing at each other and then I hung up on him. This is what bad business people do. He is more concerned about being voted Montcos best by his friends on Facebook than he is actually being the best. Its simple, his agency didn't process legal paperwork, kept the policy on the books so he can get paid and then got defensive when called out. Thankfully the agency I switched too offered to handle this for me as MP seems to be a POS and I couldn't keep calm when someone messes up and then doubles down and blames others for their mistake. Be wary if switching here. Everything is fine until it isn't and they won't do what's best for you. That is the opposite of what an Insurance Agent is supposed to do. Mike

Although I wasn't exactly sure where to find them, I was able to locate them through a quick online search. I was thrilled to find out that they were still in the business and had joined a new company. I reached out to them and we were able to pick up right where we left off. There was free parking and a clear sign they could do provide the service I desperately needed. How convenient. Yes!! I went inside and a very kind young lady quickly asked a few questions just to determine the type of document needed. She kindly waited as I wrote the document and even helped me spell-check. BEWARE!!! In May 2015 I received a call late in the evening from this agency asking to quote me…read moreinsurance rates. The gentleman who "I'm assuming is William Novick" (he's never admitted his identity at this point) was very rude and unprofessional on the phone. EXTREMELY pushy and overbearing, and was condescending to the point of insulting both me and my current insurance provider on the phone. He kept pushing for a commitment from me on the phone, acting like I would be an idiot not to switch to Allstate, as this decision was a no brainier! One policy he quoted would have saved us "some" money, but the other policies were more than our current coverages. I told them I would discuss it with my husband and get back to them. We went on a vacation out of the country shortly afterwards, and returned home to 10-12 mailings from this company including premium notices, policy documents that required signatures for coverage etc! I NEVER committed to switching my insurance to ALLSTATE from Erie Insurance (whom I love and would NEVER treat me the way this gentleman and his agency treated me)! I made several phone calls trying to remedy this situation, never speaking with the pushy gentleman who initially tried to sell me coverage, until today. Every call I was promised that my policy was cancelled and that I didn't "OWE" any of these outstanding premium balances I was receiving in the mail. I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN better!! I then started receiving notices from the PA Dept of Transportation stating that Allstate had notified them that I did not have Auto INsurance coverage since my policy with them had "lapsed" for unpaid premium, and the State was Suspending my Vehicle Registration!!! After speaking with the Very nice customer service rep at PennDOT, she explained that this situation happens often with Allstate and apparently when they "quote" insurance rates, they actually often times create policies. I had to send them copies of my existing (never lapsed) Erie insurance coverages to get this rectified. THEN most recently, I received a notice from Credit Collection Services regarding an outstanding bill for $109.74 from the William Novick Allstate Agency!! I AGAIN call this Agency which is in Philadelphia (I Live near Pittsburgh -nearly 6 hrs away) and finally end up speaking with that same pushy gentleman who tried selling me the insurance in the first place! I recognize his voice INSTANTLY, and proceeds to tell me that he's brand new and hasn't been there for less than 30 days, and it wasn't him that tried pushing insurance on me! TOTAL BS, this guy has quite a unique voice with a very THICK NY/NJ accent! Basically he lies and says that he had nothing to do with my issue but that he could take care of everything with a "click of a button" and remove all the charges from my "account" with them! He then proceeds to tell me that "heads are going to roll" once he finds out who in his office pushed insurance on me! OH- SO NOW you own the place when 5 minutes earlier you hadn't been with the company for more than 30 days!?! What a shady SHADY dishonest unprofessional person! He then proceeds to be condescending and asks well in sure we wouldn't have sold the insurance to you if it was "better" than what you currently have!! OMG! I will never NEVER by ALLSTATE insurance due to this man and his lousy professional practices! The fact that ALLSTATE would allow such a crass, ignorant, dishonest, and aggressive person represent their brand astonishes me! Mind you this "situation" has been dragging out since that first phone call in May 2015!! I should have NEVER answered that phone call because the time and effort on my part to clear my name, my driving privileges, and my credit because of this insurance agent is ridiculous! Steer Clear of these ppl, if they can/will/did lie to me why wouldn't they lie to you! Since when does answering a phone call turn into this?!? Shameful! FYI- The only other reviews on this page from people who either share the same last name of Mr. Novick or are insurance agents themselves!!
