You'll find 60's & 70's mod & hippie styles mixed in with modern workwear like Dickies denim overalls. The store is designed with an ease for finding garments with little vignettes of complimentary oddities arranged in a shrine like fashion. I imagine the Coachella crowd eats up a lot of the merch here. Prices are very good for the wares; I saw a 60's faux fur tiger patterned coat for $250 that I've seen in L.A. for $800 for the exact same one. (it's killer - and I have one myself!) The woman working the counter was very friendly and was overheard recommending other vintage stores to customers which earns mad respect from me. My one piece of bitchery is due to the lack of parking; I have a car that I need to keep an eye on and I had to park far away which kept me a bit uncomfortable. If you're shopping here from L.A. that will not bother you at all. I highly recommend spending quality time and money at Thriftology!

Stepping into this colorful, eclectic shop feels like a true blast from the past. Everywhere you…read morelook-- even the ceiling--there's something interesting to take in. I especially loved browsing the vintage clothing and found several items I might have purchased, but found them a bit on the pricey side. We also had a lovely conversation with the owner, who couldn't have been more welcoming (and was perfectly dressed in vintage style!). Definitely worth a stop if you're visiting Idyllwild--such a charming and memorable little shop.

I think they should expand hours but they don't want to and that's fine. I never insulted you but you insulted me. Closed when I came twice. They close before 5 PM on the days they are open, then half the week they are closed. I came on a 4 day trip and didn't catch this place open once.

I called the amazing woman at the Thrift store to see if they had any white shirts. She said they did and said they opened at 10. I told her my dilemma that the race was at 10. She told me to come down and she would help us out. We arrived and she to her word set aside white shirts for us to pick through for the run. We made it back in time for the run. In an era when customer service is rare I am glad we found this gem. We are grateful for the shop going above and beyond.
